The Jaunts of JeffB!

JeffB nice outfit ever try to wear more bolder colours pushing the envelope even more?

Your magenta sweater tunic is great. Have any ideas enter your mind to try different colour leggings then safe black that almost every gal wears?  Ever notice every woman wearing black leggings want to stand out from the crowd yet at the same time desiring to be different, it's sort of amusing to observe.

Know from experience feminine colours are a joy to wear very exciting. In my opinion colour doesn't have a gender everyone should wear what they enjoy rather keeping with customs and traditions. I certainly know about created dissonance from the ladies upon my tight fitting new colourful outfits.

Do know i had experience buying a new outfit to the gym that i was really exciting to wear. When i first put it on and gotten reactions from a room full of ladies i could feel the air being sucked from their lungs taking a big breath and sudden silence take place even for a moment. After passing through i pondered the reaction,  beginning to doubt myself of being overdressed. Later i calmed down heart rate and anxiety began to normalize but the rush of being watched and stares from the ladies was obvious. Some ladies looked upset at themselves seeing me as though they were jealous. Days later i noticed familiar ladies wearing exact same outfit as i had on. Coincidence or not i found it a bit amusing that my style and taste transfers to other ladies desiring to wear the exact same colour and style. Only reason i smiled rather being angry of the copy-cat outfit some ladies wore was i felt i looked much better then them in my tight fitting feminine outfits.

Jaunt #423, 2/19/2018: Contrary to popular belief after my last few outings, I still wear skirts, after all, they’re THE key component to my being a fashion freestyler. Heck, if I hadn’t migrated from jeans and pants to skirts (and later, dresses), I would’ve gotten bored just wearing heels and stopped altogether, so, just because I sported leggings of late doesn’t mean I’ve given up my bread and butter garment which I love wearing. Anyhoo, since I had off for President’s Day, I decided to head north to Parx Casino for a little fun, garbed in my black faux leather jacket over a red crewneck sweater, a 19 inch denim pencil skirt, black tights, the Bellini “Sable” booties and a black handbag. A tad overdressed for battling one armed bandits? Most definitely, but then, I overdress for most of my outings, blame that on my obsession with presenting my best possible image when out in public, and I take that objective VERY seriously because it feels damn good when I look good.

But I digress. I made a note to arrive at Parx after twelve noon so I’d eat lunch before I hit the casino floor with the paltry sum of money ($80) I brought along to spend foolishly. And spend foolishly I did, visiting an old friend first in a Sex and the City one cent machine when I spent over twenty minutes, winning a little here, losing a little there, I eventually got lucky (figuratively speaking) and won close to seventy bucks before I cashed out. I moved on to several other penny machines, but wasn’t quite as lucky as I had been on the SATC machine,  still, I managed to score another sixty bucks or so before I decided to call it a day and headed back to town. Flush with that cash, though hardly a windfall, I swung by Rittenhouse Square and strolled down to One Liberty Place for my regular indulgence of a cup of hot chocolate at Saxbys which, as I’ve said once or twice is really good, as usual, no one took notice of my attire, which is a good deal to any the least, more reinforcement of how well I blend in with my surroundings, either that or people just don’t care about what I look like.

So, there you have it, I’m still very much wearing skirts, and wearing them well and proudly. It’s the only way to go, save for when I’m wearing leggings proudly. Heh! More to come....

Love the skirt!

Thanks! I bought it at a thrift shop for all of four bucks. The brand in question is Liz Claiborne and, remarkably enough, it’s a size 10, and it fits like a dream!

Lovely skirt! Theres something thrilling about getting a perfectly fitting skirt from a thrift shop... happened to me twice the other day  I didn't even try them on in the shop as usual, just popped them in my handbag as I was in a hurry to get home. A cute light grey skirt to see out the dark winter days pictured here, and a houndstooth check one. I havent had a decent grey denim pencil skirt for a while and hope one I've bought online will fit just as well.

Nice to see you haven't abandoned skirts, lovely booties and such darling earrings ♡♡♡

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at what I found at that thrift shop. I'll have to visit there again in the future.

I once found a Tommy Hillfiger Leather skirt at a thrift shop with original tags for $6.00.  And like it fit like a glove in size 10.

Cute skirt, Henri! Did you hitch it up a bit to show off your fabolous legs? Shoes are nice too.

The office look is growing in popularity with guys, this guy on Pinterest has some nice tights that show off the seam. I liked his shoes as well!

Actually, I did not hitch up the skirt.  Just cross your legs a few times and it rides up on it's own.  I don't mind.

Thank you for the nice words.  I like the shoes also.
