Several times I would wear 6" stiletto boots, without anyone so much as turning a head (at least, not obviously!). The US is so different, at least out of major cities. Walking around Atlanta in the same 6" heels didn't cause a ripple. Where I live now people are so petty and small minded, and just like to cause trouble for anything that is not "normal". Although the local Rocky Horror cast are cool. I always seem to get compliments on my shoes or boots with them, but they haven't seen my red 7" pumps yet!
