  1. Looks like your spot on.

Never thought about the Pleaser single sole product line.

I will have to see if the local boutique can get those in and try them on.

  2. As a Western style boot wearer for decades, you adapt to the temps. Midwest heat doesn't bother me when wearing them, so jeans and boots are not an issue. Also, since I've gotten into motorcycle riding, (it's a mileage thing) I'm looking for some good boots I can wear while on the road.

  3. Welcome - - I spend a lot of time in steel toe boots too. Most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn. Can never seem to find a pair that doesn't seem to cause me more grief than they are worth. Metatarsel plates just add weight some times it seems. I am fully aware of why we need them, but sometimes I wonder if ballet boots would be more comfortable.

  4. yes i wear platforms everyday, i love it, attached my everyday shoes

I've been looking for something like those. I figure a pair of jeans would go well with them especially since mine are usually black jeans anyways.

I picked up a pair of HH Clogs from Kohl's last fall that have a platform to them, and I am planning on getting out in them soon as the weather warms up a bit - should prove interesting.

  5. Yes - women who work in industry tend to buy mens steel toe work boots. It's an issue I have dealt with over the years. It's also the reason it's tough to find mens size 7-1/2 to 8 work boots anywhere other than the crappy ones at Walmart. What few smaller size boots are shipped to retailers get bought up fast. Try shopping against seasoned women for the same item. They tend to beat my to what's in stock on a regular basis. We are seeing a bit of movement in the womens work boot business to supply more steel toe with metatarsal protection, but not enough to keep stock in the mens department. Hec - find any kind of mens boots in size US mens 7-1/2 to 8 is hard

  6. Pata Looked like a rear-set to me. A shifter setup moved back from the normal position. Not used to seeing sifters mounted toward the rear unless it's a sport bike here in the states. Most bikers I see have the shift mounted way forward via external linkage - typical Harley style. I'll have to go back and look again. I know with my Shadow, which has the lever arm right into the gear box. I have a hell of a time even wearing my Justin boots. Seems to be planned for a flat sole boot. The CB750 Cafe I have been working on has a set of linkage mounted behind the gearbox like the bonneville street racers were setup. With this I can easily change the lever positions to suit what I would be wearing in a comfortable manner.

  7. That's Pata. I love her. How she was changing gears with those ballets  ?

If you noticed, the shifter was mounted behind it's usual position. Referred too as a rear set found on bikes like that when they are set up as a cafe racer. I'm looking to do something similar to an old Honda CB750. Might look into setting the positions of the shifter and brake so that I could wear a pair of stiletto boots on it, or something similar.
  8. Don't have a facebook account, and really don't want one - but it has cost me some contact with my High School folks as they most likely scheduled my 30th reunion online via facebook. Oh well - they knew where I was at, and how to get ahold of me.

  9. 5 inch heel would make a difference. Even the platforms I wore were in Cinci were less tapered/sloped. I'll try a 5" stiletto in the future, but I have better luck in anything with some kind of platform, even if it's only a 1/2" high and 5 1/2" heel. Just seems more solid and supporting.
