Apart from my last statement which is just a self evident truth.
Hmmmm ------- Drumpf or Shillary in Heels - - - You can only do so much to dress up a jackass regardless of gender.

Damned - - I've been looking for a pair of heels like that. Last time I was in a Forever 21, all I saw was flats - - - -

Now we can't forget "SAFETY"
We may not be able to get anything done at work, but we can do it safely.
We live in an economy now that emphasis safety above all else. Your safety record in your division is far more important than your productivity.
If a woman wears a pair of heels and happens to twist up her ankle, then there is a safety issue. If she is out for any amount of time and requires medical, It's an OSHA Record-able which hurts your safety rating. All accidents are preventable (or so they believe) and if one occurs, there there has to be a solution. A full investigation will ensue.
"""The cause was high heels, so therefore we must eliminate high heels so it won't happen again!!"""
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for safety, but then there is reality - - - and that doesn't exist anymore.

We have recently collected a lot of Antiques (OK - - Acquired via cleaning out houses) Lamps and glassware - - If your looking for something specific, I am inclined to sell.

Nobody want these? Make me an offer.

Oh I would love them, but according to my Jessica Simpson's I'm a size 40. I'd also have to consider currency exchange and shipping across the pond - - - - -

I ended up at the one in Mason. I posted pictures in the Who has bought some new shoes thread.
@Heelster I will be up there I think one night next week. Want to meet up?
Not in the area next week. Not sure when I will be down that way.

Ah - - a day late
I have better luck at the DSW around exit 6 on I-71.
The one up in Mason is bigger though.

Interesting - although as a writer I would add that whoever wrote such a convoluted, over-torqued sentence has an exceptionally high need to inject clarity of expression into his/her report writing!
That's what I thought - - - If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

I was looking at the pictures - - and I'm thinking a doctors visit may be in order. That's some serious bruising.

He studied nuclear engineering at MIT amd is a nuclear policy analyst. His FB shows quite a few pics of him in heels, it is fairly obvious he just wears whatever he wants. Good to see others are out there 'just doing it'

To all the high heel enthusiasts in my area.
I still have some of the high heels my wife left behind when we went our separate ways. She wore size !0 and/ or size 11. Depending on shoe maker.
My shoe size is 13US--44 EUR -- 11 UK. I have so many high heel shoes, I am happy to part with some of them at no cost ,If you can wear them.
A high heel meet is a great time and place for trying them on for size. I will never wear them out in my lifetime. So, I may as well start getting rid of them.
NOTE : 90% of these shoes are NEW with a 5" high heel. Some years ago, Bernheels got some of them. I hope your still wearing them Bernie.

I usually drive through Columbus on my way to Cincy. I keep threatening to stop over and see Steve, but I rarely get too since I'm usually on a schedule. If your real close to I-71, I may be able to make a swing by for a few minutes and check out the 10's. Again, it's usually a spur of the moment schedule so planning becomes a hit or miss.

Must have been ages, - - I've been around a while and I don't recall you.

@Thighbootguy - - I'll let you know next time I'm down that way - - - for me to schedule ahead is like darts with a blindfold on.

@spikesmike - thanks for the offer. Unfortunately I'm a US 13-14 but I think @Heelster is in the 10-12 range. Failing that, offering them "Free to a good home" in the Buy/Sell/Swap forum might generate some interest.
I average a size 10

Just got back from a week in Monterrey again. I know I'm in Canada supposedly in September, Fort Wayne area again sometime in October - - - and who knows when I'm anywhere these days. Possible stop in Kentucky, A maybe in Roanoke, and a planned in South Carolina. I just don't have firmed up dates yet.
All I can say is that I'm working.
Oh - - and one of these days, I'll get around to posting pic's of larger size heels.

Torrid is owned by Hot Topic, and they have made some changes too - - subtle but different.

I could never sit at a desk each day. Some of my work days suck, but I get to feel like I've gotten something done each day. It's a family business and I have 25 years in. We do good work and I make a comfortable living. Find a job you enjoy, it makes the good and the bad days better

Spot on - - My work splits between desk, shop floor, and field work which includes travel. Gives me a mix which changes things up.
Old timer machinist once told me ""If you can't have fun, then it really does become a job."" and it's true. If you don't enjoy what you do, or don't have some fun once in awhile, your gonna be a grumpy, pissed off employee nobody wants to work with, and it will affect you pay wise, and advancement wise too.
Something else to think about. A vast majority of people don't work in the field they went to college or trade school for. It may not be drastic, but chances are, you will drift toward a similar field not what you thought you would be doing.
Example: I work with a young guy who did Vocational agriculture in High School (FFA) and has a 2 year degree in Engineering Technologies. He is now a CNC Machinist and Steel Mill equipment Assembler. He's also a part time farmer (small family farm) and plays around with older tractors and pulling trucks. Granted, we are in an area with limited job opportunities, but he never thought he would be doing what he does now.
Point is - - whatever you think you want to do may not be what you end up doing. You never stop learning, and if you do, your stuck, and in the U.S. job market, that alone will kill you when it comes to job opportunities.

I ride a bicycle with a classic Brooks leather saddle. No padding, just old fashioned stiff leather on a copper frame. The beauty of these old fashioned saddles is that they mold themselves to you and become incredibly comfortable. But the thing is, they need to be broken in by the rider. Any newbie who hops on a bike with one of these saddles will more than likely find them quite uncomfortable and thus not wanting to ride far. People new to them usually hop off quick smart and announce these saddles are the Devil's own work.
There would seem to be some parallels with heels here. Guys who try them for some experimental thing, wear four inch heels for an hour or two for a newspaper story and say they can't imagine how women do it, are no different than those who pedal away on a Brooks saddle and announce they are 'impossible' to use.
Same goes for Western cowboy boots. Most guys can't stand them after their first hour or so, but once you break them in, they are perfectly fine for long walks and such. Most guys I have talked with whine that the heel bothers them, but these newer styles don't have half the heel boots 20 years ago had.

As we all know, Nine West doesn't carry a lot of stock over size 10, but I do know that all the larger sized shoes that don't sell go to an outlet store in Monroe Ohio near Cincinnati. Sales associates have told me that they get quite a few men shopping there because of this.
If your on the road on I-75 near Cincinnati, it may be worth a stop.

Here is my 2 cents . If you have to get dirty working in a trade . Don't do it , auto mechanic , diesel tech , maint. tech or plumber to name a few . I am sitting here typing "pecking" with 2 sore hands from injuries acquired from working in the roll mill and some scares from chemical burns . My breathing is hard sometimes from oil coolants (years ago). Here is a good idea from a crotchety mean ole' guy : learn to like English and sitting at a desk . Working with your back and hands will bring nothing but low wages and a worn out body . Listen to what these guys in here are saying we have been there and one day you will be to . I want to tell you a short story about 3 boys who were best friends from grammar school to present day . One became a Lawyer and is doing great with no issues and one is general contractor and I chose a vocation . I bet you can figure out witch one of the three could not sit at the desk . The Pleaser boots are nice looking . Wise move telling your mother . I wish you the best of luck in the future and most of all be safe .
Respectfully , MIP
I Have had both jobs over the years. Desk/office and labor/trades. Both have their disadvantages, but office folks tend to live a bit longer, and don't look like they have been beat up as much. Office work tends to pay better unless you get into a speciality trade.
