@Heelster @Thighbootguy @spikesmike I say we get together this month!

Next week I will definitely be in Cincy on Tuesday and Wednesday night, with a possibility of Thursday night as well.

Sorry Dudes - - - I'll be in the Great White North above North Dakota all week. Back for a few days, and then up to North East Ohio. Possible run to Cincy at Thanksgiving time. Then a possible run to somewhere in South Carolina and a possible run to Roanoke.

As long as I am on the road, I'm not in the unemployment line.

Edit - - May see Ghent Kentucky just after the first of the year - - that's close.

    US Constitution

Article. II. - The Executive Branch
    Section 1 - The President

The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which
shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been
elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United
    States, or any of them.

Doesn't mean he has to cash the check. Maybe he will do something else with it.

Hi "TO DO" list is way to big to be worrying about the mere stipend.

To keep on a heel topic... It seem a large portion of the white population of the U.S.A. have had their opinions emboldened.  Many of us have commented that people no longer care what we have on our feet or that people were so wrapped up in themselves that they really didn't notice a guy wearing heels.  I suggest that this emboldened population may now be willing to express their displeasure at seeing a guy dressing out of what they consider "normal".  We have always cautioned each other to be aware of the environment where we wear heels.  I am suggested that, for a while, we be a little more aware of the environment and people around us when we go heeling in public.

On this you can be assured. I've heard enough talk from the deplorables that in no way do I want to be out of typical male character locally.

  4. For the record, I voted third party. I found both of our major candidates lacking in more ways than one, but that's my opinion.

How did this happen you say - - - I can give you an idea. I work with a lot of the so called deplorables. The ones who have lost jobs to outsourcing. The ones who saw the middle class disappear, the ones who are tired of paying taxes and watching those that don't work get the free stuff. They see health care increase faster than their hourly wage. They watch as the Chinese import cheap steel and lose work because our steel mills go under.

Along comes a guy who speaks at their level, talks like he's a local, acts like them, and thinks like them. Wants to eliminate illegal aliens who take jobs at lower wages, doesn't want to take in Syrian refugee's or any middle east refugee's because of the fear of Islam, and terrorist. Gut NAFTA, and the TPP.

     - - you get the picture.

This election was not so much about policy, but more about the blue collar people telling the establishment to piss up a rope. Hillary was the establishment who could get away with anything. The American people have been angry for years, and it's been getting worse. This was a bit of pressure release.

The main stream media predicted Hillary to win by a whopping 98%. Along comes a loud mouthed business man who takes the crown away from the pre-ordained queen and smashes it in front of the liberals.

Will this affect the rest of the world - - Oh hell yes.

Will this end well - - I hope so.

    Done ranting.

bnchmrk - The shoes I wore to Disney are made by Ellie Shoes. I'm not sure if they are still on the market. Perhaps Amazon or E-Bay. They really are comfortable.

And I was looking at a pair recently, but the shop only had a size 8 and I need a 9 or 10.

Still available - I just may have to order a pair. I've found Ellie to be comfortable

Never have had any kind of issues in a Payless store.  Given that they are one of the few places that carries the larger sizes, I'm pretty sure they are used to guys coming in for heels.  I know the associates at the one I go to most often have said that there store is known to many guys as one where they will be comfortable trying things on.  They just usually give me there spiel about whatever sale they might be having and then just say "let me know if you need any help".

I miss the old days of the small, private shoe stores.  I knew a couple that stocked 11s and 12s and would go there regularly.  The staff had no problem waiting on me or having me try things on.  All are gone now, replaced by things like DSW and Nordstrom Rack.  I miss the old days....and I liked the shoes better back then as well!

Payless - - - I have, and I no longer even bother going there. Given that Payless and Walmart are the ""Only"" places to buy women's shoes other than a sporting goods kinda shop, they have a plentiful market. Payless has a very limited selection of heels, and Walmart doesn't carry any - - - Remember - Locally.

Just recently received new Steve Madden Delirious platform shoes with 16cm stiletto heels.

Not new to high heels, but cannot stop admiring what heels do to your posture....

Unfortunately I guess need to return the shoes because 16cm heels, even with nearly 5cm platform, are a bit too high for me. Would love to master those great heels, but immediate pain on top of the foot is a serious warning sign for one who has had a fractured foot years ago...

If the fit - - hold onto them. You'll start to do better in them over time. Wear them for a little while on occasion, and soon they will be fine.

  9. Maybe it's something in the way you were walking while in the trainers. I have noticed that I walk completely different in heels than in work boots, and sometimes I think I walk kinda goofy in steel toed boots. I find my feet are more straight forward in heels, and kinda outward in flat footwear. Even taller men's western boots seem to make a difference.

Maybe she was aware of this, and knew you would walk better in heels.

A woman in sneakers just looks like a badly dressed peasant.

     - - -and that's all I ever see.

Wife and I were joking the other night that we haven't been to a gala type event in so long - - - - well - - way too long.

The perch fish fry at the local Volunteer Fire Department doesn't qualify. You know your in the stick when the couple in front of you have matching Camo jackets, and Under Armor is a fashion statement.

  11. I had a pair of those, but the chain broke. The retail shop I deal with sent them back to Pleaser. Best pleaser could do is say "Oh well" and give me 30% off of my next purchase.

Be careful of the chain. It's a cheap pot metal - - if that.

Otherwise - pretty comfortable although I didn't get much time in them.

JeffB is right on!  However I have yet to find a place where a miniskirt and thigh boots with 5" stilettos "blends in"... but I don't let that stop me from occasionally wearing that outfit.

Dude - - Your not blending in - - Your being yourself.

Don't let the differences confuse you, but you already knew that.

  13. I've seen a definite trend in trainers / sneakers being worn everywhere - very rarely do I see any heel height. Even men's western boots are all flat these days, so I would tend to believe that women are buying less high heels and going toward trainers.

  14. Wife used too -

Bunions run in her family, so now she can't find much of anything that doesn't hurt. She thinks I'm just crazy. It scares her to death that I may just go ahead and wear a pair of spike heeled shoes out in the local village. (I know better - it ain't happening.)

  15. Most often when I'm out of town. If I'm out on business, it will depend on if I have co-workers with me. I have pulled off some shorter heels locally, but they are boots with jeans over.

4 to 5" pumps and skinny jeans locally - - - not a chance. Too much neanderthal redneckery in the area.

As a reference, I put over 200 local miles on the bike this last weekend in Nine West boots with a 2 " block heel. - - Lots of Trump signs out there - - No Hillary
