the forum is back and this is my first post on the new forum. like the look.. like the options i'm seeing so far.. being i run my own forum.. it doesn't feel too different here. i think i like this layout better.. won't know until i fully play wiht it. good job admins!! i know setting up something knew can be real tough.. and folks adjusting can have a hard time. so.. let's just work it out.. thanks admins for the hard work! RPM p.s. hope my post isn't in the wrong place...

I like BB's post! i was initially thinking of doing a bit of devil's advocate when i read the part much earlier about no moral objection to men wearing heels. but.. there is no need for me to work up a sweat here. i do notice a trend with the younger crowd.. experimenting in the bedroom sense and folks being more ok with men in heels at those times.. or men in heels for costume parties. will we go back to the early days where men in heels was common place (as the story goes).. my vote is not in my current time.. maybe when i have kids in college... the thought will cross a designer who will be bold enough to initiate the move. RPM p.s. like i said before.. BB raises some good points... this forum seems to gravitate more towards men in heels and their issues than an enviroment that will draw more women heeling for gals is just another thing they do and rarely put much thought into.. other than is it cute and can i afford it... and even less. can i walk in it.

i am late to the party. here are my thoughts. 1- in the work place.. anything over 3 inch in general is considered a high heel.. in the law field.. anything over 2. 5inch is considered a high heel. most offices get a bit ansy when shoes clear the 3 inch limit (the more conservative.. the more ansy they get and the more it will affect your career). above 4 inch.. you're eithe in show biz.. modeling.. or in a relaxed atmospher to work with. 2- most folks who want to make a social impression about how they can do heels will go above 3 inch and consider that high. the skilled heelers will gravitate above 3 inch to make a point socially.. and the wannabees hover around that mark and get defensive if you say they're not high heels so.. yeah.. the survey is right. i've not run into anyone who'd argue with the cut off. i voted 4 inch.. because that cut off is undsiputable in almost all vending places i've been to.. most social circles i've traveled in... and most magazines i've looked at. if you can get to 4 inch.. you're considered a high heeler and need not go above that and beyond.. at 4.5 inch.. you're flirting with what most will consider kinky heights (not the heel fetish inclined folks though). true fetish height is now 5 inch (so i've been told) whereas before it was 6 inch. those are my thoughts. the vote shows it well. RPM p.s. just hope fashion doesn't change so much to do away with heels for a while.. don't care too much for the flat look or the kitten heel look.

interesting thread
i've noticed a trend a lot of places where boot lovers are getting more vocal and a lot more attention. that is cool
i don't wear heels.. so.. i won't comment much other than to each his/her own.
i prefer the look of pumps.. sandals.. and some wedges.. however.. my fiance has gotten some very nice boots in the past and helped open my mind even more to that area of feminine footwear.
Preference will alwasy be towards pumps in my case however... but.. then again.... the above have said it well

oh my!!
i've talked this subject to death on other forums and have learned to accept that my lady is going to take some getting used to heels.
here is the short of it.
when we first met.. she couldn't be bothered with anything 3+ inch. she always had flats or sneakers on.. and any heel she did.. almost always had a platform to reduce the foot angle.
we've been together a great 4 years. with lots of patience.. lots of talking.. i've found out enough to introduce her to ever taller heels. she can do 4.5 icnh fine.. even 4.75 inch stiletoe if the quality is right.. though i am convinced she can do 5 + inch.. currently.. she won't.
for her... she's got strict views on what she can and cannot do.. what looks good on her and what doesn't. it's a mind over matter thing for her. if she thinks it's going to be uncomfy.. there is nothing i can say to convince her otherwise.. and she won't do it. when she finally feels it's not going to be uncomfy.. she'll try it.
my biggest key to getting her into heels (if such is possible as phrased).. being patience and going out of my way to research the absolute most comfy shoes to try. at a nice cost to me.. i've done that. and she now prefers to wear the heels I bought over the few she bought.. in part because she finds mines that much more comfy (i am a super picky shoe shopper for her to ensure comfort)
with experience in comfy heels slightly taller than what she felt was normal (even going up in increments less than a quarter inch at times).. and creating opportunities for her to try them that involved little walking about but glam enough for her to want to dress up.. she's gotten a hang of higher heels.
it is my thoughts (based on many conversations with her) that as her comfort level (not just in the heels.. but in the environment in which she wears them.. and the lifestyle that gives reason to wear them) increases.. i will soon get to see her in 5 inchers.. and she says she thinks it's even possible to do 5.5 inch.. but only if i can get her comfy 5.5 inchers at the time she's comfy with the idea.
i share this only to shed a ray of hope. as you continue to live with this beauty of a wife you have.. you never know.. youll find something that just clicks right.. and she'll be happier endulging you a bit more than now.. and who knows... in time.. she may surprise you. don't hold your breath however.. just enjoy it when it comes.
it can be very frustrating.. but if she picks that up in you (and she will.. she's your wife). it makes it less likely she'll try again. the mind is a beautiful thing.. and a challenging thing that can impose more limitations than actual physical limitations!!!
RPM
p.s. my finace was and kinda still is a tomboy.. so.. if a tomboy can change enough to have 4.5 inchers on... there is hope
(no.. she doesn't wear heels often.. but she does more than when we first met.. you can see some of her pics on my site.. check my profile if interested) -
nice thread... i had a similar conversatoin with my lady on how stereotypes affects the way we treat others.. and how such gender stereotypes.. if left unchallenged.. colors some aspects of relationships and cause headaches for no reason. BB... i like a lot of your comments!!! we all use stereotypes to make our days easier.. but the open-minded person knows when not to run to panic-ville and use the higher functions of the brain to figure what is going on without passing immediate judgement. it's the really smart ones who are able to look past history... stay current in the present.. make the right choices.. to enhance the future. only if that advance thinking was easy! tired feet indeed.. the end of a long party

owner couldn't take the heels anymore and gave up

a friend of mines talking to another heeler

and they were talking about heels when I took the pics too!

at another party.. some gals got really sick of their heels and took them off for more comfort.. bummer for me.. but hey.. made up for it in views of hosed covered toes.. another fav of mines:)

making sweet music

relaxing and look at me weird for zooming in on her feet.. but she said she enjoyed the attetion more than she wondered why I was taking the pics.

some platforms for the platform fans here.

me trying to get an exotic picture without drawing attention to myself.. obviously I was highly distracted as the picture will tell

sweet!!

sorry about all the repeats though

while enjoying a concert.. snapped this one.. got to speak to the performer backstage afterwards to get permission to post the pic here. no names allowed to be given however. she was very nice about it and surprised that of all the things on her outfit.. it was the shoe I noticed.. and also it was the shoes she spent the most cash on and hoped one person noticed...... my luck:)

another of the performers backstage... got a smirk for that shot

when it's all said and done.. this is the end result!

Just thought I'd mention this here.... saw the movie after hearing what the critics had to say about it.. i was curious to see if they were blowing hot air or not. got treated to a short but nice scene where Lois (don't recall the actressed name at present) takes off her heels to get a lift from superman. good camera closeup and nice toes... for those who haven't seen it... to me.. it's pretty cool a close up considering it's a big time production movie and they took time to show that upclose. for those who prefer feet in pump or on the pedals of a car.. there was a nice scene with that too. whoever the director is.. he took time to pay attention to some good details to hit all audiences. nice job to them.. just thought I"d mention it here. i'm not really into crushing anything.. but the sound of heels as a person walks is music to my ears!!!! RPM

Adeana, those 'loud' shoes... my lady got a tamer version.... and she did it with a jean skit (not too bleached or dark) and a light green scalloped neck top. you can do it... you've got the liveliness for it!!! RPM p.s. you got great taste!

absolutely great job informing us of such nice finds.. thanksf or the pics too!! RPM

here is one for you, two summers ago, we nearly had a riot about the racket these trucks make. we had 5, i repeat 5 trucks touring our neighborhood.. usually simultaneously with all different songs playing full blast!!!! i do mean full blast!!! it's not the pesky horn thing alone or the pesky bells.. it's the actual placing of full radio sound systems to amp up the horn tired sound!! oh my goodness!!! and that time.. i was working nights.. so four or five times a day.. these five trucks would pass.. sometimes nose to tail around the blocks at least a few times each time!!! i nearly went postal!!!!!!!!! now there is a law passed banning the use of amped up car stereos to pump out their music... still loud but not as bad... but now.. i hate these things!!! in your jeans and heels.. i love the pose.. and absolutely love the shoes!!! oh so sexy my dear Gina!!!!! the whole ensemble rocks!!! and thanks for that close up of your heels on the soccer ball! that was a sweet touch! I used to play a little.. not enough to be an expert or anything.. but i was a mean goalie!! it was hard to get a ball past me. even though the rest of the game 'passed me by'. I knew how to defend a goal very well!!!
I focused my attention on auto racing.. though I never raced professionally. But to each his own.. your diverse portfolio of pics just charms me every time!!

Just saw the last part of a show on cable called 'last bride standing'. they challenged several brides to compete for this really expensive bridal dress. they had to stand in heels (albeit 3") and be the last standing. the winner stood for almost 28 hours. six competitors made it to the 24 hour make. they had on socks.. so couldn't see their feet. in the post show wrap.. they showed one of the contestants taking off her socks to try on a pair of 4" sandals. she had cute toes too. they gave the gals a short breaks to get blood flowing in their feet.. but no sleep. the clock only counted the time they were in their heels. what at tough show... and what a record amount of time. many contestants were tempted with beautiful prices to give up. some did.. most held on. i couldn't do it. even with family and friends supporting like they had. and it was done outdoors too. just thought i'd mention that. booting/clamping isn't as popular here in NY as it used to be years back. interesting thread!!! to my knowledge.. if you have back parking tickets and the city isn't in the mood to tow you.. they will boot you. I don't know about boots/clamps elsewhere.. but in NY.. the ones they use can't be cut easily unless with a plasma torch or diamond tip drill or saw. really high grade tough steel they use (or some metal like it). forget trying to drive off with it or dragging it... requires too much horsepower due to it's bulk (the old ones you could force the issue and slide it along). but now, they just tow you out (no matter how tightly you're parked). they will drag the car out into the open then lift it and go! i would be highly annoyed to get booted(clamped). no one i know has had that happen to them.. but in terms of illegal parking in front of a business. they tow you and you deal with the tow company. i don't think they boot folks anymore unless they ran out of parking and coming after you for backdue parking tickets. and they know your car is parked by your house at the time they came for the car.. then they'll boot it because it's by or on your property. but if they find the car anywhere else.. they'll just tow it.
