  1. Two nice locations! While I'm in Chicago, I have traveled to Denver for business many times. I rather like that town. Must be the mountains. You, there aren't many in Chicago! lol

  2. In what part of the world are you located, may I ask?

  3. Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate the compliment and look forward to more conversations on the board!

  4. I agree on the 11s. I really need a 12, but end up often buying an 11. I guess it's not a real bad problem, as I typically can only wear my heels for a short period of time. I do have to say that wearing a shoe that is a bit too small for you really does highlight the difference in sizing among shoe makers and styles. There have been some 11s that I can slip on no problem, and others I can't stand to wear for more than a few minutes. Even among the same shoe brands. I was in a Bandolino store and tried on three pairs of similar style size 11 shoes. Two were quite snug, but the third was very comfortable. I have also owned a few Nine West shoes in size 11, and while tight, they've been doable. I was in an outlet and found a great pair in size 12. I thought eureka, and pair that I can wear comfortably! I bought them without trying them on (dummy) and excitedly went to my car to put them on and found that they were tighter than any of the size 11s I had ever had from them!

  5. HHRick, sorry I didn't repsond sooner. I just now noticed that I had private messages! Been fighting some health issues and not spending as much time at the computer, as that is the cuase of my problems (pinched nerve in neck). Famous Footwear does actually carry the very occasional size 12. Not much of a selection in that size, but if you go to their web site, you will find a handful of size 12s. And you can actually check to see what stores they may be available at on line. Don't expect much though. I have worn those boots several times in public without a reaction. I do wear longer pants when I do, though, as I'm not yet feeling the urge to be "out there" if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, they are size 11, and I as well really need a 12. Actually, for those particular boots, a wide width would have been great, as the length is not a problem. In any event, other than being a bit too narrow across the ball of foot area, they are a decent fit.
