I agree, they are good to deal with and have an incredible selection. I bought some stripper plats from them a couple of years ago.
-
I confess, I have my share of flats too. They just add to my large spectrum of shoes to pick from.
-
I wear all types of "women's" shoes too. In fact the only pairs of "men's" shoes that I have left are work boots and a couple pairs of dress shoes that I hardly wear any more. I'm wearing my platform flip flops as I type this which should hardly be special except that is October 6 in NW Pennsylvania and in the 80's. More like July weather!

Welcome Annie!!! Those are some great pics.......

I wear women's style shoes to work too, just not my more extreme styles. I wear clogs, loafers, Doc Martin 8065's and similar styles. One female coworker commented the my DM's were a "different style for a man to wear." I just agreed with her and nothing else was said. I rarely wear men's styles anymore!!

Cool looking shoes. I'm a fan of mj's myself and wear them outside frequently. The pair in your pic are obviously women's style shoes so if you can get away with them at work you might even be able to pull of something more daring. Good luck and welcome!!!!

Nice avatar, I like it....

Nice pics on Flickr. I love those red espadrilles. I have some like them, a pair in brown and a pair in black.

Your method is far more extreme than most of us guys could do, especially considering that you were at a VFW club. In my area the VFW wouldn't be the place to go to find many free thinkers if you know what I mean. Regardless, it sounds like you were successful in meeting ladies. Good for you. You didn't mention if there were possibilities of future dates with any of them.

Great choice, those look cool!!! Congratulations on your wedding and the best of luck.
-
Best of luck to both of you!!! Of course we need to know the shoe choices of the bride and groom for their wedding!!!!

Do it, Metalspikes, you won't be disappointed!!!! Thanks again for telling us where we can get them.

My slides from Remix arrived. The are incredible, even better than I imagined. The look hot AND they are really comfortable. I wear 10 fem and they fit well in the width and may be a half size longer in length. Still they are what I've been waiting for! They are just like the pic above from Metalspikes except they are in red leather.
-
Thanks, Metalspikes for the tip on the slides by Polly. I've been looking for that style for years. I ordered a red pair from Remix and I'll let everyone know what they are like. They are expensive, $148, but what the hell, I've waited a long time!!!!

Sounds like you have a cool relationship!

Nice wedges!! Love the MJ style.

Sounds like as good of a match that anyone could ask for. Don't let that one get away. If you're both crazy like you say it's even better!!

Now that the weather here in NW Pennsylvania is warm it is time for the sandals! I wear some sort of wedge sandal or platform thong whenever I can. This summer may be a downer though because I broke a toe over the weekend. I'm not sure that I will be able to wear all the styles that I usually do. Guaranteed I'll wear whatever I can though!

Those are HOT!!! I like all of them.

I have lots of plats in my collection and several similar to the pic posted by onyourtoes. In fact I still have a pair like them from when they first came out in the '70s. They weren't real Kork-Ease but were a good quality knock-off. I remember the original Kork-Ease advertised in "Rolling Stone" for $25 a pair in 1973. They go for $175 today at Zappos. Helluva difference 35 years makes!!

Love the wedge sandals, Donna. They look great!

Broke my duck??? You Brits have a way with words....

I wear 10 US women's and I usually have little trouble with the width. Sometime I run into problems because I have a high instep which can give me issues with strappy styles.

I'm not familiar with the show at all, but the boots he wore in the pic were similar to the ones that I wore back in the early seventies. No one even batted an eye back then!! Ah the good old days!
