Hey Bubba, Funny!

Actually we just went to Applebees. With the booth and highchair no one could see them anyway.
It was still nice to go out wearing them.

New Update! My wife just said let's go to dinner again tonight with the kids. I said can I wear my boots again and she said of course!
Too bad I don't have the 4inch though. I was wrong on the height of my current ones. They are 3 1/2 and the lifts actually add 1 1/2. The toe is about 1/2 inch so overall it feels like a 4 1/2 inch boot!

Guys,
I was searching Ebay and came across these Enzo Angiolini Brown Oxford Shoes Size 11 .
I was considering them, but I just spent a fortune on shoes recently and can't justify another pair of 3" shoes at the moment (4" maybe
). I thought I would pass it on to the rest of you if interested. Thanks,
Scotty

Happy Birthday to you too Shyguy!!! I thought I would update you all on how the weekend went. We didn't get to see a movie since there was nothing either of wanted to see locally (we were both too tired to drive too far since I spend all day Saturday staining my deck). Anyway, we decided to go out to get something to eat instead. My wife was uncomfortable with me wearing pumps in the restaurant, so I ended up wearing my 3" boots (the lifts inside made them about 4"). Now this wasn't a major event since I used to wear them to work and go out to lunch all the time. What made this one special was with the jeans I was wearing, they didn't cover the heel as much (the legs aren't as wide as some of my dress pants). Everyone could definitely see the heel if they looked and I actually didn't mind for once. When we sat at the booth I actually sat close to the edge and proudly displayed my boot. Not sure if anyone actually did see, it was getting late and the place wasn't real crowded, but I certanly didn't hide them either. After dinner we went for a drive and I changed into my black pumps while driving. The jeans do cover the heel and only the toe sticks out. I got my wife to agree to let me stop for gas wearing them. I doubt anyone saw me, but this was the first time ever in public with me wearing pumps! She agreed that in a noisey movie theater, I could probably get away with wearing them. She agreed to let me do that next time!
Today (Sunday) we went shopping for a pair of shoes I saw yesterday when we were looking for boots. They are 3" shoes made by Aphrodite and sold in Sears which I might be able to wear for work. I wore my boots again in the mall and even ran into a friend of my wifes. If she saw the heels she didn't say anything. After the mall my wife asked me to change into the 3" shoes since she wasn't comfortable in daytime with me wearing the boots since my jeans barely covers the heel. I changed into the 3" shoes and finished the day shopping in them and even went to my inlaws in them to pick up our kids. No one there said a word about my shoes.
When I got home, I put the pumps back on and went outside to change the burnt out lights on our porch and deck. My wife also agreed that we can sit on the deck in the evenings and I can wear my pumps there
So far this has been a pretty good birthday. Next thing is to wear my pumps to the movie! That will be a rush.

Found this one in a google search for Square Toe. What would you call this, a wallet shoe?

Actually I think I might just wear my 3" boots tonight. I was kinda hoping for something higher.
I am also considering wearing my pumps either to a busy-noisey-dark restaurant OR maybe if we go see a movie. The problem is the clicking of the heel. I am considering taping some rubber on the back heel and wearing long black pants with my black pumps. I should be able to sneak into either a restaurant or movie with them.
I did find these boots. If they were ankle boots they would be exactly what I am looking for. Anyone know where I could get something like these in ankle boots in a US 11?
Thanks,
Scotty

I actually have another pair similiar to them that I used to wear to work when I was alone in the office. Since I am now in a more crowded office, I wear lower (2") heels. I got these boots cause they look like they might be slightly higher, but if not I can alway use another pair of boots. The reason I got the other two pairs of shoes were to replace the 2" Clarks which are getting grungy and I wasn't sure if they Clarks were made anymore (I actually found them again lastnight while searching for 4" boots!). I am kinda disappointed in the two that I did get in that they are not even as high as my 2" Clarks. I guess that is what you get shopping over the internet. Scotty

Hey Bubba, We actually did hit a warehouse store tonight. They have plenty of 4 inch stelleto heel boots and plenty of 3 inch block heel boots. I was looking for 4 inch (or higher) block heel boots. I have seen some of the members here with similiar boots. Was just curious what stores might carry such boots (if any, maybe I picked the wrong time of the year). Thanks, Scotty

All, Monday is my birthday, so my wife and I are going to go out tomorrow to celebrate. Since she hasn't gotten me a gift yet, I said a new 4 inch pair of boots would be my present. She said yes!!!! The problems is I need to know where I can buy a pair of 4 inch block heeled boots locally. If I buy them tomorrow she agreed we can go out with me wearing them! Thanks, Scotty

There are also similiar boots here:
and
And they carry US Womens 5 to 14.

I also just bought these boots on Ebay (someone else was offering something similiar I think). What do you think?

Update on the Franco Sarto and Nine West: I am a bit disappointed in the Nine West. The ad stated the heels were 2", but they are more like 1 1/2". Also they are very tight for an a size 11. I will probably look at selling them or donating them since they don't fit me. Anyone interested? I took the advice and ordered a size 10 Franco Sarto instead of an 11. They are very snug, but I think they might stretch with wear. I would say go for your normal size in these. The heel also looked a bit higher in the ad but aren't that high. I still think might be a decent shoe for work, I just need to stretch them out for a bit. Scotty

Thanks Bubba.
Actually I only wear women's shoes all the time now. Even when I go to the doctors, I wear my mules (pictured below). One of the many positive things that came out of being on this board is I made a 100% switch from men's shoes to women's shoes!

Well, I work on a military base as a consultant and currently sit in an open office with 5 other guys, 1 woman. 2 inch heels even no fem looking is going to feel high;)

Hi Heelfan, I agree not the ultimate turnon for a heel-wearing guy. I got these for work (like the ones listed above). They supposidly have a 2" heel which is higher than the ones I have now. For casual I have 3" boots and thinking of going higher if I can convice the Mrs. Scotty

I just bought these shoes on Ebay, "NINE WEST WOMENS 2" HEELS LEATHER PUMPS SHOES 11", what do you all think?

At least you did the right thing by telling her before you got married.
Yep, and she initially broke up with me over it but then decided she loved me too much to let it come between us. You are right, initially she tried to make me get rid of the heels and forget them. That worked for a small amount of time, but I kept coming back to them. Over the years she has accepted them. The two things she is most stressed out over now is 1) my wearing obvious shoes in front of our girls and 2) me wearing heels in public. The later she goes back and forth on, but she insists it can't be obvious.

It's not always a clean cut they accept/don't accept either. My wife knew my passion for heels before we got married and now lets me wear heels, but still has anxiety attacks every now and then where she all of a sudden starts to have a problem with it. She is very supportive and lets me buy and wear them, but I still think it bothers and embarrasses her for me to wear them out, especially at work or around friends/family. When we do go out and I am in my heeled boots, she notices all the people that look and I don't. Maybe over time it will calm down, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is always that way. I guess we will have to work on compromises of what we are both comfortable with. Scotty

I just ordered a pair from Nordstroms. They were actually cheaper and they had 10M, so I got them (they also had a 10N which I think is narrow). I will let you know how they fit.

Hi,
I am planning on buying this pair of Franco Sarto shoes for work. The feedback says they run a size bigger, but mostly women are giving the feedback. Do you think the same would apply for men? Anyone have any experience with this pair?
Thanks,
Scotty

Hi Larry, That is great that you are very close to your sister-in-law. We wife and her sister are very close, she even comes to our house to stay alot and we usually take her with us shopping or other places (she is single, never married). She knows I would never try anything, but if I told her without consulting my wife and it got back to her, she might think I was up to something. If I told my wife I wanted to tell her, again she would question why (like I said, my wife isn't real comfortable with others knowing). I have no ulterior motive to tell her other than I think since she likes shoes also we might have alot in common and it would be nice to be able to talk to someone else about my heels. Coming here helps alot too, but it isn't the same as knowing someone in person. I will probably just leave things as they are unless the topic comes up somehow. Thanks, Scotty

Hi Larry, That is great that you were able to "come out" with your sister-in-law. I have worn my heel boots and other shoes around my sister-in-law, but never directly brought up the subject. I have crossed my legs in my 3-inch heel boots and pulled the pant leg up so she could directly see them and she never flinched. She also knows I wear other shoes that are "womens" shoes that can pass for mens. I have always wondered if I should actually openly ask her opinion about me in heels and men in heels, etc. I know she shares my love for shoes and heels (she still lives at home and has taken over my wife's old room with all her shoes, even has all the original boxes!). My wife is more into stompers, but my sister-in-law is more into heels and I always logon and show her cool shoes she might like. What do you think? I know my wife is more quiet and discrete about me wearing them, but I would think my sister-in-law might understand. I just don't want my wife or her to think I was making a pass or anything by bringing it up. What do you all think? Thanks, Scotty

Gene,
We also should not allow our wives to tell use that we cannot wear heels. After all, do we tell our wives not to wear masculine shoes or a baseball cap? IF we proceed very slowly, we will all be dead and gone by the time that it is acceptable to wear heels. I do not care to wait that long, do you?
Best Regards,
Jamie :-)
Fashion Freedom for Men!!
That is a very selfish attitude. Of course what my wife says and is comfortable with plans into the equation! Do you think it shouldn't work into the equation of she wanted to dress like a slut??? When you get married you agree to become ONE person and work TOGETHER on EVERYTHING in life. No she doesn't dictate what I wear, nor do I "put her in her place", but rather we discuss and agree/compromise on issues, not just heel wearing but everything in our marriage. To do otherwise is not being commited to a marriage. For that you might as well stay single.

Vern, I agree with you. I wear heels because I like how they feel when I walk, not for people to see them. Right now, it makes my wife uncomfortable with me being seen in heels in public. I have to respect that because I love her and I care about her opinion and feelings. The compromise is that I can wear the heels (for me) as long as I wear long pants so they are not obvious (for her). Someday that might change, it might not, however like you said, the heels are for me not for showing everyone that I am wearing them, so the compromise works just fine. The more important thing in all this isn't the fact that I have to "hide" my heels in public, but rather my wife and I love each other and are sensitive to each others feelings to work out a compromise. New Help Finding Boots

Well, I took another "step" today (pun intended). I decided to bring my pumps with me and on the way home I took my shoes off and put my pumps on. I had to stop for gas on the way home, so I wore my pumps pumping gas, this time in the daylight. Of course I kinda cheated in that I paid at the pump, but still walking outside the car (my gas cap is on the passenger side) in pumps to fill my car was a major high. Also when I got home I noticed the trashbag was on the street, so I walked down my driveway in them and picked it up and put it back. We live on the corner house in a circle and I am sure people had to see me. In addition, the second I got back in the garage I saw the trash truck picking it up, I am sure they probably saw me! I hope to do more heeling in my pumps now! Scotty
