  1. It was the "dockbay94". I recognised it from a line in a song called "Star Wars Cantina" by Weird Al Yankovic, which goes "Docking Bay 94".... Tenuous link I know, but I made the connection! Since I'm not actually a Star Wars fan at all (I vow never to see any of the movies), what does Leia look like? SH

  2. Wow... sounds like an experience to remember! What was the excuse? You've made me curious now....! Yeah... friends can make some nasty remarks sometimes, especially at that age. Still, it doesn't get much better with some people. Other people grow open minds, but not as many who grow closed ones.... I wish I had more friends with the same shoe size as me! Do you reckon you'll have any more experiences like that? SH

  3. Welcome to the board, Dockbay94. Are you a Star Wars fan by any chance?! :( My story: I first got into heels when I raided my sister's wardrobe and tried on a pair of ~2in loafers she had. I liked the feeling of the heel under my feet. After this, these interests lay dormant for quite a while, until later on she brought home a pair of 3.5in Mary Jane type shoes... the feeling of these was absolutely fantastic... but after a while, again, the interest dwindled... Then I saw what I thought was a guy wearing heels on the way home from school, so I decided to investigate this on the internet, and found the original high heels for men page, and from there, also found the forum (this board's predecessor), and got chatting. Soon after, I went out and bought a pair of 3 inch ankle boots (which have now been thrown out), and I immediately broke the zip on these (they were too small, and badly made, hence the £10 price tag!). I wore these out a couple of times in the dark of the night under long trousers. This was enough to keep my interest going, but not strongly. Last summer, for the last day at my old school, I went cross dressed, (there's a tradition of going in fancy dress on the last day), and for this I "had" to buy some heels, which is where my 5in loafers came from (check my website, link at the bottom of all my posts). I wore these a few times around the house with my parents around, but then since I was so busy over the summer going here there and everywhere, they only got worn a couple of times. Then come the new term, I started college. Whilst at a party, I revealed to a friend that I liked to wear heels, and she encouraged me to wear them to college, so I bought some more "hideable" heels from Schuh (3in loafers), and wore these to college. Since then I've aquired a few more pairs, and I continue to wear them as and when I please. Hopefully the amount of time I wear them will increase as time goes on and confidence grows  That's just about it I think... SH

  4. Nah he's a good friend. One I intend to keep! He's a good frag on UT too... As it happens, he ended up not coming round. If I get up in time tomorrow, I'll be going to the cattle market in the morning with him! I plan on wearing me knee high boots again. They're SO comfortable  SH

  5. Well you can. A blanket would do it... or very long trousers! Mind you, having written that post at 4am, I now look back and think "why do I bother wearing heels when I'm not walking anywhere?!"... Of course the answer being I still like the feel of them when I'm sitting down  SH

  6. I've got a friend coming round in about half an hour. He's an old school friend who has no idea about my heels. I'm currently wearing my 4in knee boots, and I intend to keep them on. From what I can tell, he's quite narrow minded (especially from his reaction to my last day of term) about these sorta things, so it could be interesting to see his reaction... Wish me luck! SH

  7. Now there is something I have never seen. I wonder why.

People wear heels for two reasons: 1) Height gain 2) For the feeling. 3) Medical 4) I can't count

In a wheelchair, you wouldn't get the height gain since you're not standing. You get most of the feeling when you walk, so where would be the point of that?! Thirdly, heels aren't going to help a lot medically if you're in a wheelchair.

There may be other reasons I suppose, but it's 4am, and my brain is almost dead!

    Goodnight

  8. That's rough beyond belief. I can't think of anything worse happening. I don't think I could cope with something like that. I guess with every situation, you learn to make the best of what you have, but as I guess you've found out, it's never the same. You're a stronger man than most to be able to live through that. To quote Mark and Lard: "'nuff respect". SH

  9. Well, not many people seemed to notice when I went out the other night in my noisy heels, which in most ways is a good thing! Even if people notice, there are very few that will say something. I've had one or two stares, but never any comments from the general public. Very few people you meet on the street will ever see you again. To them you're just a random passer-by who happens to be wearing heels. They'll have forgotten by the time they're fretting about their missed bus or whatever. SH

  10. Except for my first pair of heels, I've been shopping for heels in heels! I certainly managed to put a scared expression of the face of the young woman who served me in Schuh. I don't think she's cut out for being a salesperson... she seemed too shy, and didn't seem like she wanted anything to do with the customers. Ah well... I got the shoes I wanted  SH

  11. Bob, It's a shame things didn't work out with your second wife. Sounds like she was a fantastic lady. I don't recall seeing an age limit on high heels last time I checked! If you enjoy what your wearing, you should only let your imagination restrict you! SH

  12. Squirrelheels has that conviction that he just can't be wrong that comes with youth. I miss that.

I'm no way convinced I'm right. If anything, I try to make my attitude as open minded as possible in all situations. It's a matter of personal taste what people wear, and like I said, I'm not stopping people from wearing them, and I'm not going to impose my personal taste on them (well, I might say _something_ if I was going out with someone who wore shoes like that...). All I'm saying is I don't like the shoes one bit. They just look so unattractive to me! That's all!
