Thanks Julietta
I can't be too long posting now as I have to get off to college in my noisy heels (eek!)... I'll let you all know how it goes today, and also at the weekend!
Kneehighs:
I wondered the same thing a while back, if it was a Christian thing to be doing. As long as you don't make the footwear number 1 in your life, and you still keep God at that spot, then I don't see a problem with it! I know how difficult it can be to be a Christian who practices what they preach, but I think it's harder to wear noisy heels out in public personally! (Mind you, that view may well change soon!) It isn't easy, I know, but it can be done, as with anything!

Indeed! Well, you could always change your picture! Spice it up a little, or maybe do something completely different! And yes, I plan on keeping it up

I could manage it, on the proviso that it's updated and the style of the site is improved, as it's a bit messy, and looks a bit naff imho... I can offer suggestions as to the redesign, but currently don't have the time to do it myself. SH

Where exactly do you put the L plate?! On your back? Your tits? Your arse? Forehead?!
Hmm, I was thinking about going in my knee boots, but it looks like thigh highs might be required... gah, more expense! Argh!
How do fat legs help with fitting more stuff into the boots?!

Indeed... I am more comfortable with mine too, although I could really do with another 1,174 posts to make me REALLY comfortable!
I think it's a bit too cold for sandals at this time of year!

That's true... Unlike the arrogant English, the Germans make a point of learning English from a really early age, as, after all, it is the most commonly used language in the world. And basically you have to know it or you're screwed, unless you plan on living in a cocoon! Apparently the French highways are good... not very busy at all, and easy to get up to high speeds on! (This is according to my youth leader, who drove there in his Saab for a skiing holiday, oooh that's a nice car!). He said he would have tried to go up to the car's max speed, 135mph, but he said with so many bends in the road, it could have been quite tricky, and dangerous too! Yeah, I like Nottingham - not too big, and not too small! Just the right size! And price too...! Baby bear's porridge was just the right temperature...!

Yeah, it's a nice lush purple
It'd go really well with my room, which has deep purple and orange walls...

Wow, I like perfectionists! I am one, in some areas. I could never live with one though, we'd be at each others' throats! I like my fridge catagorised logically, as opposed to being in alphabetical order! (Or as the Americans say: "alphabetised" - which isn't actually a word) And I don't do the ironing!
So that's me outta that one! Do you find you have to adjust the height of the ironing board depending on what footwear you're wearing?!

FireFox, That page takes an age to download, even on my 600k broadband connection, and slower computers would have problems rendering all the animated gifs at the same time. Might I recommend you take thumbnails and link to the animations individually, like you have with the final (0.8MB) gif? Just a suggestion... SH

Yeah, it sounds like an excellent idea! Go for it. The social side sounds particularly interesting... We wait with baited breath! Just don't keep us waiting too long, or we might end up looking like this:

"Young" = about five years less than me.
So you wouldn't class a new born baby as young then?

Ahh to live in or near London... mind you, there are plenty of benifits of NOT living in London!
Now Germany... that would be fun! Freedom on the autobarns! Yay!
Dunno what the heeling is like over there though... I'm not sure I could cope with the language though! I'm not really a foreign language guy...!

A few days ago last week, my church youth leader popped round to drop off a hard drive. I was wearing my 4in knee boots, under jeans (as normal), and as my dad had already opened the door, my youth leader could see the heels as I was walking down the stairs. He asked if I was wearing heels, and I said I was... he didn't seem to have any problems with it! He was quite jokey with my dad about it, threatening to take an axe or angle grinder to them... (I don't mind it when they joke around like that). This evening the youth group had a meeting at the minister's house, and he brought up the topic of my heels in conversation. Obviously I think it was a shock to most people, but what was most encouraging was that the girls were really interested, and they wanna see photos of when I did drag, and they want me to wear the heels to church on Sunday, and also to our meeting next Monday
I thought this was really encouraging, and I'll definitely be wearing heels next Sunday and Monday!
It's nice to have a bit of backing! And the guys didn't seem to object either, which is good
This gives me even more confidence. I'm gonna try wearing my 3.5in bladey-type ankle boots to college tomorrow, wearing tights underneath! Hopefully that'll go well! I'm really looking forward to the weekend now!

I see quite a lot of heels on a regular basis. I go through the city centre every day to get to college, and I see quite a lot of people wearing heels. Mostly 2-4 inch block/blade, with occasional stilettos. I've seen a few nice pairs of knee length boots worn with skirts, but unfortunately the heels were wimpishly low. Cmon girls! Get wearing something higher! I was on the media team (I can explain it if you want!) last night at church, and one of my fellow team members was wearing a gorgeous pair of shoes. They were black courts (I think - her trousers were too long!), with a round toe and a flower on the side of the toe for decoration, and a stiletto type heel, about 4 in. It wasn't quite stiletto, but it narrowed to a point about 0.5-1.0cm in diameter. They were gorgeous, it's just a shame I couldn't get a proper look at them.
Very nice nonetheless... And she was managing to climb up and down dark terraces very well indeed, with cables all over the place, I was very impressed indeed

It sounds like most of this stuff could be shoved into a rucksack or something... Do they search rucksacks and other bags? If so, concealment could be trick, with all those things! SH

I think FireFox is the one who's been out and about doing that sort of thing! He'll probably be able to tell you where they're stored. You might find some also by looking through some of his posts and topics on this forum (although be warned, he's written over 1600 posts!). Hope that helps SH

Why is this a girls topic!? Surely it can include the men too?! I'm gonna add my two pennies' worth: I like most types of footwear: platforms, stilettos, block heels, boots, open courts/pumps, sandals, mary janes, loafers, thigh boots. Some I prefer to see other people wearing, some I prefer to wear myself. I'm not quite sure what my favourite style is to wear, probably 4in+ chunky ish heel on a boot or closed toe and back shoe

I've done things around the house like that in heels just to see what the sensation is like... and you're right, it can be good fun! However, I'm not a big fan of housework, so I leave that to the parental units!
SH -
That's excellent Julietta!
I'm sure your friend will get there in the end. All it takes is time, and patience.
I had considered wearing black nail polish once or twice... I might try it someday. I wonder what the parents will say! Has to be with the right outfit though...!

That's probably a good thing Bubba I'd say, you're not doing anything wrong, so why should you think about it?! I don't see that the Bible has a problem with what I wear, I'm just conscious of other people's thoughts, and impression that it gives them. I don't want people getting the wrong impression of me just because of what I wear on my feet. Julietta, thanks
I like em too!
I'll post about my experiences today in noisy heels under my "Out and about in noisy heels" thread.
