I read somewhere that they use either brown parcel tape or gaffer tape or something similar on new shoes worn by catwalk models. It's thin enough to not be obtrusive if you stick it on carefully. Emma

I would be driving a Subaru Impreza if it wasn't in bits :-( Some animal in a garage stripped one of the sparkplug threads out of a cylinder head
In the meantime, I'm using my MG Midget. :-)

I would like to think we're a well-mannered lot that wouldn't need too much in the way of moderation, though it's nice to know our moderators are a good bunch, when needed. Emma

IMDB lists a 2003 film credit for RuPaul - "Skin Walker"
The RuPaul weblog doesn't say much to do with work though.

Isn't it bad luck to put new shoes on the table?! (or computer desk) I can't say I'm a fan of all that detailing; I prefer mine unadorned. Emma

Sorry, but I'd like to see a shoe manufacturer that desires to work in:
1. Real leather
2. Heels beginning at a modest 2" for those of us who're less inclided to wear high heels.
That'll be why their tagline on the website doesn't say "Ernest - the Modest Heel Specialist" then!

Just made it into 3.5 inch boots :-) but like it always happens with the car mileometer clicking over a nice round number, I missed seeing the 200th post! Emma

I teach at a local university and my unannounced policy is that I give bonus points to females in my class that wear high heeled boots or pumps. I student that was in my class last semester always wore boots, so she received a good grade. She is in my class again this semester, but has started wearing flats. Should I give her credit for last semester, give her the grade she earns or downgrade her for switching to flats?
I truly hope this is meant as a joke; if not, the answer to your "what should I do?" question is re-read your contract of employment and the university's policy on discrimination/treatment of it's students.

There were persistent rumours that Cher had a rib removed though she strongly denies it and says it's impossible to do.I read that back in the 50s & 60s some models & Hollywood types actually had a rip removed surgically to give them the desired figure. Sounds like a bit much from my viewpoint.

Like a few others, funds are a bit short at this time of year, so I won't be going. Emma

oh, maybe more than that - there have been 600+ viewings of the topic as a whole, we just haven't all given feedback. It's made a pleasant change to read about different cultures' attitudes etc Emma

Are we to take it that that's all she was wearing?!<snip interesting stuff>
The next morning I went to meet her on the way to catch the coach to the airport and saw that she was wearing a pair of goat fur boots and a smile.

I think they still do (can't remember the URL but it was something not that obvious and as I recall, Google wasn't much help for me, either), but it wasn't up to much, last time I looked. No online shopping or anything.Emma, do Desire have a website by any chance? I've had a quick Google for it but drew a blank. I'm not too far from Sheffield.

What part of the world are you in, Chris?

How did she get on in the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' thing? Emma

I'd love to catch the interview with the guy from LSB without the translator.
The best I've done while wearing ballet boots outdoors would be these two vids:

and

I suppose these two links were meant to be two different ones, Jim? (Quite impressive walking skills though!)

Other Yorkshire sources for larger sized ladies shoes include: Medissa Shoes - Queen Street, Morley ('sensible' shoes) Desire - Attercliffe Common, Sheffield (more fetish styles) Emma

..... a real menstrating, birth-giving (2), occassionally PMSing woman ...
None of which in themselves define a woman - there are plenty of 'real' women who don't do any of the above.
