  1. I agree with the fact that metal tipped heels attract attention. When I walk around, people do normal looking backwards to see who's coming (somthing I am now used to). A pair of very high heels attracts enough attention anyway (especially when you are wearing shorts or a skirt anyway). Metal tips are cool (and as you know pretty much all I own). It was metal heels themselves (ie. fully metal) that I am uncertain about. As Laurie did say however.... Each to their own taste.

  2. 90% of my heels are metal tipped. I see no difference between metal or rubber when talking about damaging skirts or other things. The main damage seems to be caused when pressure is applied on the heel itself (just looking at my wooden floor or car carpets explains the problem)...

  3. I' with Laurie here. Driving with heels is so so easy. I should point out that all my mats within the cars I have owned co get destroyed (particularly as I normally opt for metal tipped heels - they wreck the inside of the car). Well worth it though.... he he

  4. No problem Ruud. Just remember...... (and it's important): Whether your feet are in agony, or your heels stand out because they are ultra ultra high or bright pink.... what ever you feel.... Keep smiling! :-)

  5. I interviewed a few people on Tuesday for a jon we are trying to fill. One of the young girls who came along (pretty little thing) wore the most beautiful white stilettos I have seen for a while (good quality leather, wonderful shape etc) - She was tiny, the heels were high. Funnily enough, I felt for her so much and knew what she was going through wearing such painful shoes that I decided to put her on the shortlist. He he. See.... heels work!

  6. I bought a pair of those from River Island Susan and eneded up taking them back. They look good but the quality was not so good. They hurt my feet A LOT!!! and the heel broke (surprise surprise). Just thought I would let you know...

  7. Highheeled Sub - I can highly recommend the shoes I just bought from Hayway Shoes. (have a loook at the thread called Hayway Shoes). They have an ankle strap and are very comfortable! Liked the video. Well done Onyourtoes.

  8. Thanks Ruud. They are in fact 5 inch in height. I can prove it - I took a picture especially for you. They are so great. Just come in from having worn them out for the first time. They are fab. I love 'em! The metal heel was a little too fancy I thought - I figured better remain lower key. That way an ankle chain can also be worn (otherwise I think too much metal). Like?

  9. Hi High Suprise,

    Sounds like quite a spectacle!

As a matter of interest, where was this?

Hope you have a camera if you see her again

    Admirer

It was a spectacle - in every sense of the word. I was in North London at the time - in a place called Barnet (somewhere I don't know very well). I so so wish I had my camera. Next time!

  10. I came across a girl today (she could not have been 5 ft tall - that's small!!!) I could not believe what I saw. My colleague and I stopped in the street and stared - she wore what must have been 7 inch heels (I am not exaggerating) and could not walk at all. At first I thought it was a joke and I looked for a TV camera. After a while, I realised she was on her own so it could not have been a joke. She was oriental looking and obviously VERY tired! She looked like she needed to sit down. Very strange (and sexy if I am to be honest). Sorry, had no camera with me today :-( - always the way.
