  1. 6/5/2011:

All in all, it was quite a fun experiment, having pushed the envelope yet again by wearing a dress and living to blab about it here. Heh! . . . Do you think I was nuts to have done what I did? Perhaps, but I've probably done crazier things than this, so it doesn't matter in the end. In the meantime, I'll build on what I've done and strive to improve and do better the next time, should one come to pass. Does this mean I'll go out in a dress again? Maybe, because it had been thrilling, I won't rule out another venture in the future.

That wasn't so bad, was it? Dresses are a fantastically comfortable way to freestyle, and they can be a ton of fun. I've been adding a couple here and there to my wardrobe myself, and I've been finding the public response has been neutral to positive, just as you found out.

Bravo on your major freestyling achievement, JeffB!

  2. Hey everyone! I'm wondering what everyone's shoe size is and what shoes you really like. Please state what the numbers are.

I am a size 13 US woman's and I really like wearing open toe high heel sandals such as this:

I also like using red nail polish over any other nail polish.

I'm typically a 9/9.5 US, 40 Euro (I don't care what the conversion charts say, most Euro sizes run small), though it depends on the shoe (I have a pair at 8.5). I love stiletto pumps, usually prefer no platform and no peep toe, but I make exceptions on both counts.

  3. Black, brown, and white so far. They are the most versatile colors, so they get the most work right now while I build a complete wardrobe. As my skirt and dress options grow, I'll add the color with the heels.

  4. Not to be sexist, but clothing stores probably a good place where, if you're selling female clothes, might be best to have a female assistant. In SleekHeels case, unless the guy was also a heel wearer, he likely couldn't contribute as much about the shoes as a woman might be able to.

That depends on the fashion sense of the male assistant, doesn't it? If he prefers female clothes as well, then he's certainly just as qualified.

  6. Yesterday I decided that I wanted to take a look at some handbags. I had gotten my wife a purse from Coach a couple of years ago, and I figured it was only fair for me to look a bit for myself as well. I went to the mall in my typical heeling attire (pencil skirt, pantyhose, 4" heels) and walked into the Coach store just to look at the selection of bags. Once I got there, the sales ladies were very helpful and friendly, and pointed out the shoes they had off to the side of the store. I naturally gravitated toward a very cute pair of rounded toe platform pumps (see attachment). I normally wear a 9.5 or a 10 (US), occasionally dipping down to a 9 for shoes that run large. When I tried these on, however, I was all the way down to an 8.5! Has anyone else experienced this? What other brands run so large?

  7. Would have been cool, to say the least, to be pic-ced. Gives them something to talk about, right? :silly:

I caught a young girl capturing video of me with her iPhone today. We'll see if it lands on the Internet over the next week or so.
