My back problems are 5 slipped disc's, ankolising spondalytus, osteoarthritus and i was also born with canal stenosis.

I hate taking painkillers but i have just ordered some DMSO so i can give that a try.

Even my rhematologist said that the heels will releave pain as they are releaving the pressure on my slipped discs.

All he said is not to live in them as they can cause other problems. I find that the heels make me stand more upright as well.

Oh and i have just ordered myself some nice new peeoptoe booties

  3. I too have a bad back suffering with various ailments. i was also born with canal stenosis which has only just been diagnosed (im 54yrs old)

my rhematologist to me that wearing heels releaves the pressure which in turns allows any inflamation to subside. He also advised me not to wear heels all the time due to other problems developing.

My advice is not to wear heels to high. i find 3-4 inch is great. i also prefer a flexible sole. Block heels are easier to walk in but if you wear stiletto heels just take more care.

dont be worried on others opinions. if anyone says anything just be polite. A lot of women will actually say that they like your shoes. some will even say that they couldnt even walk in them.

Just be normal and you will be OK. At least you will be siffering less pain.

  5. OK. So i started wearing heels to fundraise for charity. over the new year (2018/19) i raised over £1000 for the british lung foundation.

i have since found that wearing heels for long periods help relieve the pain in my spine. It has now come to a point where i am enjoying wearing heels on an almost daily basis.

I find i am most comfortable i heels around 3-4 inches high or 5'' with a platform. i do prefer the flex of a single sole though.

i love my peeptoe boots as well as my normal boots. i also have some t-bar and mary-jane shoes that i like.

Do i care what other people think? Like hell do i. I just do what i want. if people dont like my heels, tough shit.

I now find im wearing heels because i like wearing them and i feel confident wearing them.

this is my latest purchaes although i have removed the bling

  6. It is a known fact that if you wear sandals or any open toe footwear in really cold weather that you will end up with really cold toes especially if you go bare footed.  in the colder months i wear boots or shoes.

a couple of months ago i purchased a lovely pair of open toe sandal boots.  i am really looking forward to the warmer months so i can consign my boots to the cupboard and enjoy wearing my open toe sandal boots.  i actually own two pairs of sandal boots.  i really like the design as they have the support of a boot but allow air around your feet like a pair of sandals.

  7. My new Ugg boots have just arrived from Australia.  this is the link.  www.uggbootsforall.com

it is the second pair i have ordered from this company.  when i ordered the first pair i had to pay over £20 import taxes etc.  this time i never had to pay any form of duty whatsoever.  im not complaining because £100 for a pair of Ugg boots is a bargain even i enbded up paying the duties.

has anyone ever experienced the same thing? cant think why this has happened

  8. i my opinion it is a wise idea to reguarly switch between flats and heels.  also dont stick to the same height of heels all the time.  try to vary the height between 2.5 and 4 inch for regular use on a daily basis and save the skyscrapers for the special events.

my comfortable height for daily wear is between 2.75 and 3.75 inch.  4 inch is ok for 5 or 6 hours.  i keep the higher heels for special occasions and fundraising.

block heels are also a lot easier to walk in and also safer.  they also need less maintainence.  if i was to wear stilettos on a daily basis they would need to be re tipped around every 2 weeks with plastic tips or 6 weeks with metal tips.  chunky heels will last me around 3 months in constant use.

you will also find that some heels will benefit from insoles.  sometimes you will find heels more comfortable wearing nylons. personally if im wearing peeptoes i like to go bare foot but when wearing pumps or boots i like to wear nylons but this depends on the weather

  9. Although velcro is a very good invention it is not always perfect in every situation.  i have a pair of block heel sandal boots that i love wearing.  the strap at the back is secured by a small bit of velcro.  the problem is that it sometimes comes undone when walking around.

i am lucky that the boots also have front lace fastening.  i then came up with the idea that i can get away by permantly securing the back strap and use the laces.  what i done was put a good dollop of superglue on the velcro then secured it to the desired position.  hey presto.  so far this has been sucessful.  i now feel a lot safer without having to worry if the back strap comes undone

  10. Here are some pics of me in my new sandal boots.  They fit great and are so comfortable and easy to walk in.  Im looking forward to next year so I can wear them when the weather is more appropiate. In the meantime I will have to make do wearing them round the house

They are made by Christian Siriano for Payless

  13. well it is over 2 years since i done the month in heels challenge.  i wore the heels for the whole month with no pain whatsoever.  my back was transformed and i was a lot more agile.  here are the heels i wore for the monthmonth heels.JPG

for the last 2 or 3 months i have plucked up courage to wear heels on a daily basis.  i am doing very well and i have no pain at all.  here are some more pics of my daily wear heels.  the beige sandal boots are currently on order.  heel heights range from 2.75'' with no platform to 3.75'' with a platform

  14. I can easily walk in 5 inch heels but there is no way i would wear them day in day out for 10+ hours at a time.  for your job i would consider a 3 inch heel a maximum or maybe 4 with a platform.  you are at risk of serious problems.  personally if your job allows it i would wear flats for a month or two to allow your feet time to recover.  i normally wear a 2.75 to a 3.75 heel as daily wear but i dont wear them for 10+ hours every day like you do.  on the other hand i wore these heels for at least 8 hours per day for a whole month (31 days) and found them very comfortable but when i attempted to walk a half marathon in them i was barely able to stand.  they have a 4 inch block heel with a 1 inch platform.  they were also a bit on the large side which i suppose is better than being tight

In another post I mentioned that showshow.com has free shipping through Jan 1,2016.  Taking advantage of that and a great clearance price I bought a pair of Air Underground Mobile boots in a size 12 for $15. (see the the other post for a link).  They are a moccasin style shoe with a hidden 3" wedge heel that I wasn't expecting.  When I opened the box I was sure they had sent me the wrong size (they looked like a 10) but to my amazement they fit,  The shaft is tight and has some fancy fringe.

    GEDC1158.jpg

They also have a functional lace on the back of the knee.

    GEDC1163.jpg

    GEDC1161.jpg

I have a guitar gig coming up this Friday and Saturday nights and I'm planning on wearing these boots.  Last time I thigh boots with 5" stilettos and that made loading/unloading equipment over an open mesh metal walkway a challenge.

    GEDC1153.jpg

Any thoughts on what to pair these boots with are welcome (a skirt is not appropriate for the gig).

So, please tell us what went wrong with this supplier or its product.

They sent me a pair of nike trainers instead of a pair of high heeled peeptoe boots.  when i tried to contact them to organise a return they would not respond to my emails.  i contacted them around 5 times with no response.  im lucky the trainers fit ok as i would have been left with an item of no use

I managed to find a site that sell plenty of large size heels upto a size UK11. i have been hunting for a good pair of peeptoe boots / sandals for a while but managed to find these all under £50 and available in size UK11.

I really love the feeling of peeptoe boots on my feet.  They also look so sexy especially with a pair of tight fitting jeans

They finally showed up...Would have been here sooner but a postal strike in Canada made shipping twice as long. Very reasonably priced and super comfortable. Just ordered these blue stillettos also. I wanted to be sure of sizing before ordering the second pair. Found them at lollicouture.com but their sizes only go up to 11us.

As we all know it is not very easy to buy womens shoes, especially heels in sizes larger than a UK10 (US11 & EU43)

If you know of a supplier let us all know.  dont post up a picture.  All we need to know are the following details

maximum size. country of origin. and most importantly, their website details

I will start you all off with one I recently found that i intend to purchase from.  I will let you know how i get on

    http://www.just4birminghamjobs.co.uk/

They stock sizes up to UK11 and are UK based.  It seems as if they sell discount designer brands

With reference to this website i advise all members NOT to purchase from them.  when i ordered from them the order arrived quickly but it was not what i wanted.  when i tried to communicate with the company to ask about a return they would not answer my emails so i have been left with a pair of Nike trainers instead of a pair of high heeled peeptoe boots.  anywyay at least the trainers fit ok.
