TRUE LOVE. (by Cary, Alice) There is true love, and yet you may Have lingering doubts about it; I'll tell the truth, and simply say That life 's a blank without it. There is a love both true and strong, A love that falters never; It lives on faith, and suffers wrong, But lives and loves forever. Such love is found but once on earth--- The heart cannot repel it; From whence it comes, or why its birth, The tongue may never tell it. This love is mine, in spite of all, This love I fondly cherish; The earth may sink, the skies may fall, This love will never perish. It is a love that cannot die, But, like the soul, immortal, And with it cleaves the starry sky And passes through the portal. This is the love that comes to stay--- All other loves are fleeting; And when they come, just turn away--- It is but Cupid cheating.

I don't really know Yamyam. I posted this out of curiosity really. I'm one of those people who always asks a person their birth sign. Have read a lot about it and find it is a good talking point as most people a) know their sign and
like talking about themselves which as a listener I enjoy and c) it breaks the ice.
I have noticed however that we do not have any Capricorns, or none that are owning up anyway

Calv hi, Thanks for the encouragement. His screen name is Polishuser 2002, not the greatest of post makers on this forum
I think 4 is his max so far lol with one being made to myself. He seems to prefer it if I post on both our parts. He's shy so I don't mind really
and I always get his approval. Hey what are friends for?
Would be nice to arrange a meet wish some girlies would join us too though as I am feeling a bit out numbered here.

Squirrel you have got your whiskers in a twist over this one haven't you
but if it's any consolation I agree with you those particular examples are ugly
On the other hand I never say never as Jo says 'variety is the spice of life' and Francis 'each to their own' and to be honest I am prone to change my mind from day to day. For example I am not a plat lover but have recently bought 2 plat sandals, simply because they suited my feet but had you asked me would I buy any last year I would have said no.
The only other thing I'd like to add is that if I liked someone I wouldn't care if they had a pash for wearing great big furry bunny slippers out as it is the person I would go for rather than their clothing
I do love your postings though Squirrel
you have certainly got into this discussion board.

Babeinheels hi, You know I have found the same thing. I have twice now worn 4" heels to work (just to see what reactions I get) and I have too found women to be quite agressive in their manner towards me. I wear a skirt every day which seems to go unnoticed. Last week I wore a skirt suit with heels and I had negative reactions from the women eg. "I never wear skirts these days, can't be bothered, too uncomfortable" etc etc. The men of course smiled a lot as to be expected. This week I went back to wearing my longer skirt and knee high 2.5" block heeled black leather boots and all of a sudden people are saying "still wearing a skirt then?" and seemed shocked when I have had to point out that I've always worn it. So it's a bit weird really. Heels seem to make people of the opposite sex behave in extremes. Shame really
But hey what do I care

Those breast are prosthesis breasts and belonged to Gwyneth Paltrow from some film she used them in. I read about it in some interview he did on breast envy. If I find it I'll post it. They really look good though he has certainly practised at being very femme.

dheel Hi, God where do I begin with this. I really feel for you. My best friend has been going through the same thing.
It isn't going to be easy but you can take it one step at a time (excuse the pun). Even if you dress conservatively I guess like most people you own a pair of jeans? If so why not start with some chunky heeled boots? That is what I'm hoping to coax my friend into as, like Azraelle, think boots are an easier starter as they usually have a kind of masculine quality even when 4".
The hardest thing is when we are shy because we tend to think that people are constantly judging and looking at us, but the truth is they are so wrapped up in their lives they hardly really notice us and our subtle changes.
Mostly teenagers go through some kind of alterego stage due to the fact that most teenagers are painfully shy (I was) - whether New Romantic, punk (me), rock (me), glam rock, goth (would have liked to), geek (me at times) or miserable (not me although my mum my say differently) like Harry Enfields character 'Kevin'
I think it's a metamorphis stage we go through until we discover who we really are, then we come out of it and hopefully flourish with more confidence. Some of us don't go through that stage or if you are like me you are constantly going through some stage or another simply because I like changing who I am (appearance wise) and I quite like waking people up
There are so many ways in which we can visually express ourselves out there, and unfortunately us girlies have way more choice so I think it is about time you guys make a stand for yourselves and say "I have a right to dress how I want" too.
If you change and become more the person you really are you will find people will mostly react to you in a positive way anyway which will give you more confidence to explore even more. If anyone objects then they are not really your friends afterall as a true friend would support you in anything you choose to be or wear. So in a positive way you would really see where you stand in friends hearts.
I'm glad you have joined this group as everyone here is so nice and I'm sure will support you in your venture to become the butterfly you are inside.
Please keep us posted of your progression as I'm sure your quest will help my friend too.
Love

I just voted for pair 1, but I do have pair 2 in the denim version and they are really comfortable. They are one of 2 plats that I have bought from Additions and I have to say they look really nice on and I really don't like plats all that much. God choices choices, wouldn't she stretch to both?
