  1. Stroller hi, I enjoyed reading your post and applaud your courage. I love it when someone manages to overcome their fear. Just expand and enjoy and set yourself free and I know I keep saying it but the more of you that venture out the more people will not bat an eye. Not that I think they would really anyway :wink: Love Julie xx

  2. Peej I thought that too but didn't have the guts to er um mention it :wink: Azraelle I thought your ideas were good. :D Laurie do you think that if you could post a pic of your problem you may have more forthcoming ideas of how to resolve your wounded heel? :( Yam I guess you have hit the nail upon the head, as long as the shoe shops have good lighting why should an hour give or take make a difference :D Julie xx

  3. Michael hi, Wear them and enjoy them they are fab. You'll be fine. The more of you guys who go for it and brave the crowd, the sooner the crowd will be used to the idea and not bat an eye. Actually I wonder how many people out there really look at feet and shoes apart from us lot and as we are into it anyway so that's cool. Post some pics of you in them if you want some constructive opinions and encouragement. Love Julie xx

  4. Squirrel, Jim, Guest and Yam hi and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Am glad to be back have missed you all. Special thanks to Yam as you have been a rock to me these past few weeks. Also Jo another special thanks. Better go as I'm beginning to sound like Catherine Zeta Jones on Oscar night :wink: Love Julie xx

  5. Laurie I do love to read your diaries I see you haven't lost your touch. Glad you are getting better. Love the sandals and can't wait for the warmer weather here to wear mine. We had a short spell a couple of weeks ago which encouraged me to start pamering my feet in readiness, but today we have had snow. Our weather here in Britain is soooo damn unpredictable too. Hope you are in better spirits for next weeks diary. Love Julie xx

  6. Francis, Thanks for offering to sort out my computer. It wasn't that it was broken it was that I didn't have access to it as I haven't been at home. I am at work again now so am able to use my terminal at work. I will however be reunited with my computer shortly :wink: Thanks again I am about to check out your progress with those gorgeous red shoes of yours. Jxx

  7. Sorry Laurie one more on this please......

    Long summer evenings being a welcome benefit in a country that is so often grey and rainy. The debate usually occurs when it comes to putting the clocks back in October. Darkness at 4pm is rather depressing.

    I couldn't agree more. I wish they would just leave it so that we have that extra hour in the evening. But at least we have Christmas to break up that dreariness and the buying of our Christmas outfits and of course shoes to go with them :wink:

    Jxx

  8. Hello again to you all. I am back.

    I just want to say that I haven't as yet read all that has passed but just wanted to say a big thanks to all of you who posted to my goodbye thread. I have been through a pretty tough time but I can at last see an end to it and reading your posts has really made me realise how many nice people there are out there.

    So I'd just like to say:

    Thank you! xxx :wink::D

  9. That phrase is usually used by a female to ease the way of parting. We mean that we no longer have the in love blindness and that we love you not as a lover but as a friend/brother/member of the family. It happens when the romance goes out the relationship. I the trouble with relationships is that we forget to work at them and to keep the romance going. Unfortunately the daily traumas of life get in the way and before we know it we are on the treadmill of life trying to earn a living, raise the kids, get a career going and basically trying to survive. We forget the companionship, romance and more so the communication and loving that got us together in the first place......... this is one I could go on for ever on as I am clueless as to how to maintain a relationship as I am failing on my 2nd at present...... and my best friend to boot has left me to it to as he thinks that he is adding to my problems when in fact he was my saviour through it all. In fact it's amazing how many friends have abandoned ship, although given my situation and the type of person I live with (until next week all going well - pleeeeeaaase) I guess I can't blame them..... Enough of that I'm going to start feeling really sorry for myself..... I hope you find happiness Azraelle I really do. I think it is the least we all deserve afterall we only get one go at this life and it should be as happy as conceivably possible. Love to you all and see you soon, Julie xxxxx

  10. Hi all, Sorry to those of you who have pm'd me. I haven't been ignoring anyone it's just that I'm going through what is probably the worst patch in my life to date, and to cap it all I haven't got the use of a computer at present. Am using my brother's today to catch up on emails and things. Miss this site loads as you guys and girls are brilliant and it helps me escape the reality of what I am having to go through at present. I will be back soon and will miss you lots. Love to all Julie xxx
