  1. :) Hello.....I know that I am very rarely on here and most of you may not know who I am, but I am looking forward to the meet. The only problem that I have is that we need to set a place and date if we are to do it this winter because of all the people that will be taking vacations at this time of year. We will need to make flight/hotel reservations/time off from work etc. We need to stop dragging our heels and start stomping. I look forward to meeting all of you. :lmao:
  2. So is your avatar really you? - No it is my cat Ghost....can you guess why he is named that?? Why did you choose that picture? - It is a cute picture of ghost If your avatar is an image of someone else, why? -I chose that picture where it is a picture that represents me, without putting my face out on the net. I did not want to just put something out there and besides, Ghost did not mind, he will pose for any camera.

  3. I stick to sports, the ultimate in reality television.

Would you consider sporting events on the tele reality television?? Here in America sometimes they are just as fixed as the reality TV shows. (there was the guy - I think that it was Jonny Bench - that got busted for throwing his own games because he had bet on them)

  4. I don't watch it. Most of it is just drama and often has a little scriptting in it. Like on real world when they go out to bars and stuff MTV arranges for them to have free drinks. Drunk, attrative people=drama.

On these shows people may be given free things, like drinks at a bar, but would they not act that way that they are acting even if the cameras were not there???

  5. yea but adding the globe behind the logo as it stands now you will be making it kind of a NOW rally symbol... because of the imagery...

I do not think that you know that the NOW symbol looks like. It is much like the HHPlace logo with out the people. As for the WWW all that stands for is world wide web, a location in a computer, an IP address.

  6. For me, I would not wear heels on a cross counrty flight. The length of time sitting can increase the chance of getting a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). It is my opinion from my studies that heels can increase this chance, especially as you go higher. If you want to wear heels on the plane, kick them off while you are sitting, that way you are not causing greater stress on the veins in your knees.

  7. I did read it but wasn't sure if you were talking about shoe articles or WMD articles.

    Scotty

Then maybe you should ask and not assume. This is the exact reason that I stopped coming to this site. One person would guess that they knew what the other meant by what they wrote without reading the whole thing, or asking questions if they were not sure.

  8.

Oh, but the WMD's truly did exist in Iraq. How do I know this you might ask? Well, your heroes at the United Nations told me. The United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) kept very good records as to what was there, what was not there, and what it was assumed that Iraq, under Saddam Hussein, was not reporting.

Here is a complete list of what UNSCOM witnessed the destruction of in Iraq:

    MISSILE AREA:

    - 48 operational long-range missiles

    - 14 conventional missile warheads

    - 6 operational mobile launchers

    - 28 operational fixed launch pads

    - 32 fixed launch pads (under construction)

    - 30 missile chemical warheads

    - other missile support equipment and materials

    - supervision of the destruction of a variety of assembled and non-

    assembled "super-gun" components

    CHEMICAL AREA:

    - 38,537 filled and empty chemical munitions

    - 690 tonnes of chemical weapons agent

    - more than 3,000 tonnes of precursors chemicals

    - 426 pieces of chemical weapons production equipment

    - 91 pieces of related analytical instruments

    BIOLOGICAL AREA:

    - the entire Al-Hakam, the main biological weapons production facility

    - a variety of biological weapons production equipment and materials

Now, all this being said, what was it that you were trying to tell me about Weapons of Mass Desctruction not existing in Iraq? Perhaps you would like to tell me another fairy tale?

    Yes, JT

You said it yourself....they were destroyed by the UN prior to our unlawful invasion. The 690 tons of chemical weapons, included what..did they list it....I want to know exactly what it was. I have chemical weapons in my purse (pepper spray) , under my sink (ammonia), and on my bureau (hairspray). Precurser chemicals can range from baking power, to iodine (medical grade) to rubbing alcohol to sulfur to other things I have under my kitchen counter. Just remember, That diesel fuel and cow manuer make one hell of an explosion, and we all remember what it did in Oklahoma City, Ok.

In regards to news and information, there are many source for information, but I have found that some of the ones here in the US do not report the whole story. You have to go to the European news and magazines to get the full story. An example of this is that our news agencies will give you a story but will only give some info, but when you listen to the BBC there is much more that you did not get from the US source. Even with medical information, there is alot that is not released here in the states, because over seas they are not afraid to offend their CASH COW advertisers to release the truth.

  9. JT: I definately agree with you that you are not one for political correctness. In regards to the WMD, they are as elusive a Osama. Maybe they are hiding with Osama in the caves with his dialysis machine and all the missing fibonacci numbers. (1.6, oh wait, I see one!!)

  10. I have to agree with the foot size discussion. My boyfriend can wear 5" heels and walk around in them no problem (size 12-13 foot in womens). I have trouble with them (size 8-81/2 foot in womens). I am not standing on the ball of my foot, but farther forward on the joints of my toes before the ball of my foot.

  11. I hate to tell everyone that the food that we are eating has been genetically engineered for years. Farmers have taken crops and cross bred them with others that had the same favorable traits, hoping to get the desired outcome, just like Mendel with his peas. It is when companies and farmers start introducing foreign proteins in to the plants - like tomatoes where they have introduces animal proteins to make them grow larger, or into plants to make them produce pesticides - that problems can arrise. We do not know where this protein's transcription into DNA is going to be located turning on or off certain genes that may be active or dormant after injection from the vector or plasmid. The other problem is when one farmer is use GE plants, and the farmer in the next field is not - you can not control the flight of the bees or the blowing wind - crosspollenation occurs. That is personally what I think.

  12. has anyone heard from the ladies? Anita C, Adeana, et all?

just wondering I miss them! they had great postings

If you are around, hope you come back soon!

I have to say that I stopped posting because the content of posts/topics was getting a bit boring/repetative, and I was in school.

As for women getting offended as to where you post, I think that if it is pertinant to the conversation, then by all means post it. I post where I have something to say based on the topic.
