  1. Hi Everyone,

It's been a long time since I posted, a heeling event. I regularly go out heeling several time a week, but don't always have the time to post, them.

Since JeffB, has been an inspiration to me, wearing skirts out on his jaunts, I will post my outing this afternoon in a skirt, which I'm wearing out more and more these days. I wore a denim skirt, just above my knee. (I like the shorter skirts, anyway) with brown tights, brown mock neck shirt, lepoard print 1/4 zip fleece, with a brown, puffy look, down vest, brown newsboy cap, carried a brown leather crossbody bag and wore my BOC, brown leather riding boots, with 3" block heels. Only one stop and that was to Lowe's to get some needed supplies. No one really paid any attention to me, except the young woman clerk, that checked me out, who said, "You look great wearing boots and tights, and I love that animal print fleece your wearing". I thanked her for the compliment, as I walked out the store to my car. It's always flattering to get a compliment like that from a woman.

More heeling events will be posted. I promise!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  2. JeffB,

Two nice jaunts for you. Both ensembles looked great on you. I'm glad your adding more colors in your ensembles. I love colors and am always experimenting with new  color matches.

This afternoon I wore a denin skirt, out. Read about it on my, "Heeling with bluejay", thread. You've been an inpiration for me, to wear skirts out more and more.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  3. JeffB,

I like the look of your sweater dress. I've been thinking for some time of getting one for myself. Now you've given me the inspiration to go out and buy one. I like the basic black color and will acessorize it with splashes of color in acessories.

Thanks for your post and pics.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  4. I like to wear wool Melton newsboy caps, when the weather gets cold. They really don't cover your ears, but they keep your head warm. Get them at E4hats.com.

I also have several colors of cotton newsboy caps, that I wear in warmer weather. A newsboy cap and heels go great together.

  5. Great post, gibby about your visit to DSW, on National Shoe Lovers Day. I missed going this year, but last year, I had my picture taken with all the associates. I was the guy in heels. That pic made it on the internet, for DSW's, National Shoe Lovers Day. I got my red t-shirt and I'm still running into DSW, associates that remember, being in the picture, last year. One associate, now works in the shoe department at Penny's. We still address eash other as shoe lover (first name) when we meet, at Penny's.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, heeling at DSW. I'm always in heels when I go into DSW to shop. The associates are always very helpful and the other women customers, really don't care if a man is in their side of the store.

    Happy Heeling,

  6. JeffB,

The red shoes add a splash of color to your ensemble. I too like to wear my, "Karmen" pumps which I have in pink, white, blue, red and other colors.  Wearing red shoes is certainly making a bold statement, of which I certainly like to do, just like you do!  And yes, I do wear red patent knee boots too, among other bold colors.  I hope you try wearing the red knee boots. I'll be watching.

  7. Humans have a need to classify things to understand them better. We divide humans into two genders, male and female. But it's not that simple. Everyone is on a spectrum of masculine to feminine, and not necessarily in one or the other pigeonhole. Men have a feminine side and we're usually taught never to let it show, since masculine is strong and feminine is weak. That puts some of us (a lot of us?) in an uncomfortable situation. I happen to like carrying a purse instead of wearing cargo pants with bulging pockets; I enjoy wearing pantyhose or stockings, wearing high heels, wearing women's boot cut jeans, and sporting nail polish. Am I more feminine? I don't feel that way. I feel liberated, as a guy, to be able to wear what I want, and confident enough to do it all in public. I don't go around flaunting it; I just do it, much as any woman would wear jeans, loafers, shirt and tie, and not think of herself as masculine.

We only go through life once. Make the most of it and be yourself, wherever you fall on the M-F spectrum. Enjoy life and have fun instead of worrying about what others think. Nobody was ever successful in pleasing all the people all the time, so why try?

Life is short. I don't have to be.

    Steve

    Steve,

    I agree totally with that.

  8. I Like them too. I just bought a similar pair in brown from the clearance rack at Payless. Big sale BOGO on clearance shoes, plus I had a 30% off coupon. The other pair is a pair of blue, espadrille, peep toe wedges. Got both pairs for $12.80 including tax. Another great buy from Payless.

Enjoy wearing your new wedges. I know that I will!

  9. I got in just on the last day of the sale and got a pair of the Karmen in black. Struggled to choose between the size 12 or the size 13's since only whole sizes available and I am a mens 10.5. Finally went with the 12's and very glad I did as they came today and are quite loose. Don't know if they will break in and conform to my foot, but may have to get an insert for under the ball of my foot to keep from sliding to the front and my heel falling out the back. This is my first pair of pumps, so not sure what to expect. Was a great price at $14.99 (have since jumped up to 19.99, which still isn't bad). Any suggested brands or styles of insert to help fit more closely?

I have several pairs of the "Karmen" pumps from Payless. They are very comfortable to wear. Yes, I did take advantage of that $14.99 special sale last week and bought pairs in the blue, nude and black & white print. I also had an additional coupon for 15% off and got them for $12.75 a pair. You can't beat that price!

BTW, I wear a size 10 men's and the Karmen size 11 fits me fine.

  10. Being that it is October, and the push regarding wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, I'm contemplating buying a pink 'awareness ' shirt, and wear that in combination w th a pair of black skinny jeans, and a pair of pink round toe stiletto's to a mall I will be passing by this weekend, Should be an interesting outing.

I also have a pair of pink and black strappy 'jack stands' that would scream "look at me" that might be interesting, but I have to wonder how well I can walk on super smooth floors in this combo.

    Heelster,

On Sunday, I wore my bright pink polo shirt with the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon embroidered on the shirt, with off white dress pants and my Payless, "Karmen" pumps in bright pink. I also had a matching cross body bag in the same bright pink color. I liked the look and so did several women that commented on my color choice, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I even got a thank-you from one woman, for wearing pink.

I enjoyed myself out shopping,at the supermarket, Macy's and Penny's in the mall.

    Happy Heeling,

  11. Nice look JeffB.

Yes flats are very fashionable this fall, with leggings and skinny jeans. I just bought a pair of Nine West, animal print, cheetah flats from Macy's last week. I going to wear them with a pair of "Hue",brown, faux leather leggings and my cheetah animal print, shirt. I think the look will be awesome! Hopefully, I'll get time to post a pic.

  12. Hello everyone,

My last post was about wearing my heels back into a Payless to do some shopping. Today I actually went out and to a few stores.

I started out going to the local Wal-Mart and walked around the store doing some shopping for some new pantyhose and clothes. I was wearing black ankle high boots with about a 3 or 4 inch heel and long pants covering all but the heel.

I then went to subway for lunch and stood around in line for about ten minutes. In neither place did I detect any looks or stares nor did I hear any comments.

It felt really great to finally walk from the car across parking lots and into and out of stores. Now I know I can do it and it will be wonderful.

Glad you enjoyed your heeling experience. I love to wear heels out and I'm not afraid to show them off for everyone to see. I never try to hide my heels. Sometimes, I wear some more conservative block heels, but I do wear stilettos out with capris, skinny jeans and leggings. My wife is OK with my heeling. We have matching pairs of heels that we sometimes wear out together. That's a lot of fun, for the both of us and yes we do get compliments!

Keep on heeling. The more you wear heels out, the more confident you will become wearing heels.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  13. Great meeting, Steve.

Just last Sunday, I had a great compliment from a woman, in Macy's in the shoe department on how color, co-ordinated I was, wearing off white dress pants, turquoise, polo shirt and matching turquoise pumps from Payless, from the"Karmen" line.

It's great for a man, to get compliments like that from women, who like men that wear heels and are very fashionable dressed.

And, BTW, I like to compliment a woman, when she is wearing a stunning ensemble or has a great pair of heels on. I always compliment on how great she looks in her ensemble and or heels.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay
