  1. JeffB,

Nice looking ensembles. Love those O'Malley slides.

Only a couple of warm days here to wear sandals. Hopefully warmer days are coming!

    Happy Heeling,

  2. I got two new pairs of wedge heel, slide sandals, recently.  A pair in navy suede, from Kohl's Department Store, "SNALICEBLUE" and a pair in  bright cherry, from Roman's.com, Comfortview, "Tulip". Both pairs have a 4" heel, with a 3/4" platform. They are very comfortable to wear. They are very similar to the Payless, "O'Malley" slides, of which I have four pairs. Bring on the warmer weather!

Incidentally, the Comfortview, "Tulip" wedge goes up to a size 12WW. Also in black and natural (tan) colors.

    Happy Heeling,

  3. I like to wear hosiery, with my heels and boots. I wear pantyhose, thigh-hi's and knee- hi's. I also wear tights and trouser socks with my heels. Just feels so much better, wearing some type of hosiery, with my heels.

  4. JeffB,

Glad to hear that your Payless, "O'malley" slide sandals, are coming out of storage. With all the cold out this April, it may be some time, before we can wear our sandals out. I'm anxious to wear my "O'Malley", slides, too.

    Happy Heeling,

  5. JeffB,

Nice look. I totally agree with you about this cold  and snowy April. Here, we've had more snow in April, than December and March combined. The temps have been in the 30's and low 40's, for the last two weeks. Nearly 20 degrees below normal. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We may see mid 60's here, next weekend. Bring out the sandals! Maybe we can put the boots away for the season.

    Happy Heeling,

  6. TBG,

I like those red boots. They add a pop of color to your denim and leather ensemble.

Yes when you wear red shoes, you need to carry a red bag. Your bag should match the color of your shoes, standard rule of thumbs. That's why I have a rainbow assortment of cross  body bags, to choose from.

  7. JeffB,

Nice looking ensembles that you wore out this past weekend. Since I like a lot of color in my ensembles, I like your Saturday ensemble, the best.

I'm not a big fan of denim, but I do have a short 20" denim skirt, that I will wear out on occasion.

I recently bought some black and grey color combinations in both leggings, tights and tops. The black and grey combinations are big this fall. I'll still be wearing my bright colors combinations, this fall and winter.

I still have not worn my riding boots yet, but did wear a pair of Born, western style, mid calf boots, with a 3-1/2" stacked heel, a couple weeks ago on a very cold evening, with black leggings.

I echo what TBG said, They're your shoes, not women's. Enjoy wearing your heels. Incidentally I wore my Dansko "Rae" in the navy color, this evening, with blue twill pants and a yellow, 1/4 zip long sleeve, Izod golf shirt. Carrying a navy, cross body bag, it made a very interesting ensemble.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  9. JeffB,

I like your new riding boots. They look great on you. I bought a pair of flat heel riding boots, last year. They are the UGGS, "Seldon" in brown leather. I liked them so much, that I bought them in black , this fall too. When you don't want to wear, a heeled boot, riding boots are fine. I see them being worn every day, now that fall is here.

The riding boot has become a fashion staple, for women. Why not for us men too?

BTW, I have put most of my Payless, "O'malley" slides away for the season, but I still have a pair in brown and black ready, for a warm, late October jaunt.

In spite of what others have said, I still like the O'malley slides, just like you do!

  10. TBG -  You are correct that I could have cut the other heeler a little slack but, the way he said what he said and the look that I received from him took me from my very passive self to being on the defensive. I will have to work on that and control my emotions.

mlroseplant - It is strange how people are different just from what area they are from. People in the Northeast generally just say what is on their mind. A while back I visited your part of the Country and I was pleasantly surprised how nice people were and trust me the difference was a great feeling.

"Something as nondescript as Dansko clogs"  I don't know about that. The shoe itself is a clog, yes, boring to some but I chose for my first and second outings mainly for the comfort and as a confidence builder.. The heel heel height is 3 1/2"  with a 3/4" platform, the shoe displays well. I am 6' and my jeans fall just at the top of the shoe making the heel of the shoe and my heel visible just standing and more so when walking.

Yes, I will get more daring with shoe choices in the future, can't wait to take my G by Guess Veeta Platform Pumps for a stroll - 5 3/4" heel with an 1 1/2" platform. :) Two outings in less than a week, thanks to the great people and support here at HHP.

Glad to see another guy that likes to wear the Dansko "Rae". I have had them in all 4 colors, black, brown, red and navy. I like Steve, wear them in cooler weather, when sandals won't do. I do wear pumps a lot too and I don't try to hide my heels, under long pants. I want everyone to see me wearing heels!

  11. Hi Fellow Heelers,

Just to let you know that I have not dropped off the face of the earth. It's been a few months, since I last posted on HHP. I can assure you that  I heel regularly each week.

Taking the lead from JeffB, I've been wearing skirts out and about, quite regularly this summer. Even though the calendar says fall is here, we still have a lot of warm and sunny weather here.

Hopefully, with the shorter daylight hours, this time of year, I'll have more time to post on HHP.

#100shadesofshoefies day 58 who says you can't ware Uggs in the summer Ugg wedge slides #hisheels #meninheels #heelsaddict #guysinheels

Love those UGG, "Tawney" wedge heel slides. I have them in 5 colors. Some of my shoe girlfriends have them too. They are very comfortable to wear.

Last summer when Steve came to visit me, we both wore a pair of the "Tawnie" slides out in the mall. Great fun!

  13. JeffB,

That's quite an impressive list. Im glad that you have the time to record your jaunts and what you wear. I don't have that much time.

I also noticed that your red tank top looks somewhat orange on my screen too. When I post pics, sometimes  the posted pic is not the real color, of either my shoes or clothing..

Thanks, again for the posts and the pics too. You looked great in both ensembles!

One of these days, when I get time, I will have to post some pics of my ensembles.

And yes, I have been wearing both mini and maxi skirts out on my jaunts. I do get some stares, but I've come to accept that.

    Happy Heeling,

  14. They all look nice on you, Heels2U.

I especially like the sandals and peep toe's. Your pedi looks great on you. Don't be afraid to show your pedi off. My ped is in bright red and I'm always wearing sandals to show my pedi off.

    Enjoy your trip!

  15. Ok, JeffB on your Sunday jaunt.

Weather was lousy here all weekend, with record rainfall, cold temps and  lots of wind.

Finally, on Monday night, with a bit of improvement I went out wearing my black, "O'Malley" slides, red capri jeans and black polo shirt. It was a nice look. I enjoyed myself.

Thanks for your post and pics too.

  16. I have that same pair, in the "Karmen" pump from  Payless. I like that color very much. I've worn mine with black leggings, with a polo shirt top that matches the color of the pumps, perfectly. I like the combo very much.

    Enjoy your new pumps.

  17. Bluejay,

As you might guess from knowing me, I'm just the opposite! I like the MJ's but I'll pass on the wedges!

    :cheeky:

    Steve

That's why, they make many styles of heels.

#100shadesofshoefies day24 Cole Haan classic sling back #meninheels

I like the peep toes. I wear them often. I'm not really fond of slingbacks.
