I wear some type of heels to church each and every Sunday. Last Sunday in honor of St. Patrick's Day I wore a green ensemble with a green suit coat/blazer, black pants with my green patent, block heel ,booties with 4" heels. I always get compliments on my ensembles and last Sunday was no exception. I was even asked to pose for a pic from one of my lady friends. I also got several compliments while out shopping at the supermarket, later that Sunday morning. And yes I do see several ladies at my church service on Sunday mornings in heels, while I'm the only guy in heels there.
I do see a guy that also wears heels from time to time at another venue. He's always wearing 6" stiletto oxfords. We do compare our heels from time to time and once in a while, I see another guy that shops in the same Walmart as I do, in some type of heels.
Yes, there are women wearing heels out and about and even a couple of guys, besides myself!

Yesterday I went to my nail salon to get my St. Patrick's Day mani. I got my usual pink/clear gel on my hands. On my left pinkie I got a white base with a rainbow coming out of a pot of gold. The right pinkie also got a white base with a green shamrock on it. Very colorful, I liked it a lot. Got a few compliments at the nail salon from other customers also getting St. Patrick's Day mani's, some got some art deco on all their fingers. It was nice to compare all our mani's. Incidentally, I wore black leggings with green shamrocks on them, a green fleece top, with a white puffy down vest on top. For my foot wear I chose my green patent, chunky heel, booties with 4" chunky heels.

Great color combo Melrose. I like lots of color in my ensembles including my heels, as I have a rainbow of colors both in my shoes, booties and knee boots, I'm looking forward to next Sunday, St. Patrick's Day, when I will wear my green blazer with my green block heel booties. Even though I'm not of Irish heritage, every one's a part Irish on ST. Patrick's Day!

Cali,
I have several pairs of Journee Collection in boots , booties and shoes. I'm OK with them. Mostly bought from DSW. Never saw the pair that you're referring to.

These fashion shows are like concept cars, they aren't supposed to be practical. I think of it as a way for them to push and broaden the palette of what can be worn, which is something that I think we can relate to.
ping74, Nice to see you posting again after a long absence.

Nice Valentine's ensemble, Melrose. Red suits you well. I wore red patent booties last week for Valentines. Was going to wear my red pumps yesterday, but with 8" of new snow on the ground, that wasn't happening yesterday, going to church.

Valentines Day Mani
Went to the nail salon on Friday to get a new mani for Valentines Day. I got my usual clear gel on fingers. On my left pinkie white base with a red heart on it. The right pinkie she did in red base with the word LOVE written on my pinkie. I loved the look and I had several compliments on them. BTW, I wore black leggings with red hearts and the words love on them. A red fleece top and my pair of hot pink patent, knee -hi go go boots completed my ensemble.

What Bubba136 and Shyheels say about gender-specific or unisex clothing makes perfect sense; too much regard is paid to labels and not nearly enough to style, fit and choice.
Bubba rightly reminds us of the many 'male' items of clothing that have been 'borrowed' (and in some cases adapted) for female wear. Loafers are a prime example: originally a casual men's shoe, copied and widely worn by women and which can have a heel ranging from nearly flat to a high slim stack, and sometimes with a platform too. A timeless so-called women's style that is eminently suitable for men to take back and wear with confidence. The pics below show just two examples - variations are almost endless:
These are styes that I regularly wear. I like the loafer look and since they are heels, all well and good.

Being from upstate NY, I'll chide in here with what I wear in snow or ice. I would never wear a stiletto heel in either. I wear my Uggs "Seldon" knee boots with 2" big block heels. They are great for snow and ice. Those I've had for several years and are no longer available any more. They are extremely warm too and I wear them with knee socks when the weather gets to the teens (F). They are not those ugly looking Uggs boots, but a true knee boot.

Went to the nail salon, yesterday to get my Christmas mani. As usual my tech was glad to see me and complimented me on my appearance. I wore a pair of black leggings with candy canes on them, red fleece top with my red patent go go boots, with 3-1/2" chunky heels.
Got my normal clear/light pink gel on my nails. On my right pinkie a white base with red, green and gold candy canes on it. On my left pinkie a white base again with a green Christmas tree with red, gold and silver ornaments on it. Very colorful. I did get several compliments on my mani.

I have seen a few guys in heels besides myself. Not a lot but they are out there. One comes to mind, a loose acquaintance of mine is always in 6" stiletto oxfords. When I see him I always tell him that his heels are too high for me to walk in. I'm usually in the 3--3-1/2" range and mostly small block heels in pumps, slides, boots and booties. BTW, I just got a pair of new winter white, knee boots with 3-3/4" heels That's a first for me with that color. I love it. I wore them out with leggings and I did get a couple of compliments.

Cali,
The fauxe leather leggings are from Hue called Body Gloss. I have them in several colors, including black, grey, and burgundy. I love the skin tight, shinny look of them and yes I do get compliments wearing them. I'll put in a link for them.

Cali,
Leather and heels are a natural go together. Each one compliments the other. I'm the same, wearing fauxe leather leggings with heels, pumps, ankle boots and knee boots. I love them all.

Good color co-ordination , Mirose. I like to match the color of my heels with the top I'm wearing. Good look for a casual day.

Any heel looks great with leggings, especially as that's a favorite combo of mine.

I was at my bank yesterday, when I observed a woman maybe late 30's in a pair of green patent stilettos with at least 5" heels, She looked great, also was wearing a black and green pair of leggings. Made a comment to her on my way out that she looked great. Unfortunately I was in my work clothes and not wearing heels When you're out and about you never know when you will run into someone wearing a great pair of heels!

Just got my new mani and pedi for October Breast Cancer Awareness month. On my toes I got a flashy fuchsia color. I'm usually in red the rest of the year. On my hands a light pink clear gel on the fingers and thumbs. On my little pinkies, the right hand white base with a pink Breast Cancer Awareness logo on it and the left pinkie, pink base with a white Breast Cancer Awareness logo on it. Have gotten several compliments so far on my new mani, both from women and men.

I like leggings, and wear them with heels sometimes, but mostly with boots
I'm with you on that. I like my shinny look leggings and I have them in a rainbow of colors, too. Just packed away my capri leggings for the season. Now that the cool fall temps are here, it's full ankle length leggings.

Been a while since my last post, but nothing of interest had occurred during any of my outings, of which I still do every weekend. This past weekend though I endured a 1st, a broken shoe. On one of my favorite shoes no less. My black David Charles wedge suffered a broken strap while shopping. It wasn't a catastrophic failure, fortunately, it just all of a sudden felt super loose while I was walking. I was able to complete my shopping, albeit taking very ginger steps. Its bound to happen again eventually I suppose. I wore these more than any of my others, plus they got wet a few months back during a rain shower, so that probably didn't help. Definitely going to start a search for another pair of black wedges, they are just too versatile not to have in my wardrobe.
ChesterX,
I have have had similar problems with shoes. Got to grin and bear it. BTW, I love your mani the color looks great on you!

Like you HappyinHeels, I like wearing skirts with my heels, especially skorts. Even my wife is OK with me wearing a skort. I love the experience with wearing women's clothing even though I'm a straight guy. I get compliments on my choice of apparel from both women and men. So guys if you want to try something from the other side of the fashion aisle, do it.

I always leave reviews on the shoes or boots that I buy. I always include in my review that I'm a guy that likes to wear heels. It's a part of my life style. My reviews are always published and that's the way it should be. Heels are not only for women but for guys too. If you like the heels that you bought, guys post a review,

Who has bought some new shoes

I too have received the e-mails from Temu. Low heeled but nice looking heels. I ordered a pair just to try them out. When I get them I will report on their fit and quality, as they are very cheaply priced. Incidentally, I have bought some women's clothing from them in the past ie: leggings, and bike shorts which fit me well and I liked them. The quality was good too! One of my grand-daughters is always buying things from them and she been very happy with her purchases from them.
