lsolathor : You said that you do not wear high heels . Helen seems to have several pair of high heels . Question : Have you never tried wearing high heels ? Or, you just don't  wear heels of a regular basis ?

I´ve tried it, but didn´t get the hang on it. For me it is good enough when i come home and my wife greets me in heels ..... 😉 or when we leave for shopping / entertainment and she is in heels. 😍

Must be an old picture. I distinctly remember you saying your wife had tired of platforms and gotten rid of them.

You are correct. Helen had these heels in 8 different colours, and they all had to leave. But she had not gotten rid of all the platforms, a few of the others (2 or 3?) survived.

... Highest Heel to be exact. Used to have 2 of these, well made actually.

If i remember correctly Helen had 4 pairs "The Highest Heel", one pair is now living in Australia. For the price the quality was not bad, and the fit was actually rather good. I have to check if the others  227140044_P1040232a_Bildgrendern.thumb.JPG.1b14cac02e3041b3fdb18e34ff67dda9.JPG are still in her closet.

I like Your style. However, Your pictures would benefit a lot from more light. Is it possible to increase the brightnesss on Your camera/phone or add more lights while taking the pictures? Increasing the brightness in postprocessing might work as well, give it a try.

It's called fatigue. I doubt the cobbler had anything to do with it.

That is my opinion as well. The inner part of the heel is most probably a injection molded piece of plastic, which sometimes has some air in it. Any bubble inside will weaken the part considerably, an example: if the mass of the part is decreased by 4% due to some air in it, the strength is reduced by 40%! And it will break at the position of the bubble.
