Fashion is evolution of what we feel at the time. Don’t half ass your outfits out of fear.. People seem to accept your style in the office so don’t hesitate to try all feminine shirt, blazer, pants and yes those silk multi coloured beautiful stilettos. The better you evolve your style more compliments you will attract.

Yeah I actually just picked up this blazer this year, so I’m going to keep working down this route for a bit.  I discovered that Theory seems to have a lot of nice pieces for my shape and style...

Seriously? other men were also wearing these pants from the ladies side?

No, what I was trying to say is that two other guys showed up matching each other “by accident”.  But in my opinion, it is not all that accidental when people choose to dress so homogenously every day.

No one is wearing  the same thing I am wearing today.  Sorry for the confusion.  Two other guys I work with happened to wear the same outfit, which is not that surprising since everyone dresses so similarly already.  Just thought I’d mention that this is a situation that I think people are starting to notice and react against.

Did you get negative or positive comments on your wide flare pants?  No one has said anything to me so far, and honestly I am enjoying the flared and swishy style so much now that I don’t think I’ll care if someone makes fun of them.  The all black pants are otherwise not all that extraordinary, but it would not surprise me if they draw people’s attention, even more so that heels.  The slit hem swooshes around a lot with each step.  Plus, the mainstream style these days is to go tapered and skinny, so I am swimming against the current.

I haven’t really looked into female tops yet, mostly because I haven’t exhausted all the men options yet.  There are some pretty good fitted shifts and jackets out there for men, and it will take me some time replace the baggier stuff that I have on my closet.  This has been my general approach to these fashion experiments - I am only shopping on female side for shoes and trousers because I can’t find what I want on the male side.

Speaking of heel expression, I found this in size 12 at Last Call:

What a beautiful pair a heels...

  4. After walking around the hotel this morning I still could not let go of the thought of wearing this into the office.   So I put a belt on it and just followed my heart, so to speak.

While the jacket is contrasting, I feel it dials back some of the edge of what is going on at the feet.

And guess what happened at work today?  Two other guys showed up in the exact same shirt and pants as each other, and it was the first thing to be talked about at our team meeting.  Wasn’t me, though someone jokingly asked if they found some heels (in reference to matching my new look). I offered to take them shopping...
