Agree that the trend does seem to be building. I've been seeing fits posted in r/malefashion with the ASOS heels. They are accessibly priced for people who want to try the look, and so far the response has been pretty positive.

That gallery is from a year ago. We need to keep the "season" going!

The bad news is, ever since we were sent home for Covid, I have had no where to go to wear some of my more delicate heels, like the Stuart Weitzmans. I pulled them out today and went for a walk just to check if I was still just as comfortable in them as when I wore them every day. The good news is, they felt great - I think spending all my time in 3.5" cowboy boots has been effective at ensuring that I won't totally "forget" the feeling of wearing 4+" heels.

I'm going to surprise everybody here, and not tell about my perfect sandal. Actually, there are plenty of sandals out there that are fine by me, it's just a matter of me being able to walk in them. What I've never really found is a pair of knee-high boots that fit me well. Ideally, I'd like a 5 1/2" heel, 1" platform, a slightly-thicker-than-stiletto heel, and a shape that fits tight to my ankle and remains tight all the way up my calf. It's that last part that seems to be hard to find.
Closest I have seen to what you described are the Stuart Weitzman boots in stretch-suede. And I have seen them in the 75%+ off sections at outlets.

My latest pair of custom cowboy boots was exactly to my specifications:
3.5" heel height
No platform
Soft leather
Elephant overlays, 22" tall shafts right over the knees
I like them so much that I am thinking about getting another pair in another color. Maybe blue?

I'm in the same situation with the tan line, and it's too late in the summer to do anything about it. It's too bad, because I just discovered how much more comfortable going sleeveless can be in the August heat. Oh well, I guess I can look ahead and be on the lookout for sleeveless shirts to wear for next year.

Snakes, fireants, scorpions, spiders, wasps... cow manure... yeah no way I’m wearing sandals. The Stuart Weitzman boots have also been just sitting in the box all year because my trips to the city have ended.

We’re in the heat of the summer now, and of course I’m still in boots. But I’ll still dress for the heat in other ways:
