Already planning for summer, and figured out that elastic sleeves are useful for going with bare arms

Safari shirts are great for changing weather this time of year. I like how all the buttons of the shirt work to roll up the sleeves:

You’re looking great in those boots. St. Louis is my old stomping ground, I wore my boots with 3.5” heels around all week when I was up there last year, and no one said anything.

People in airports are off in their own worlds. You could probably wear a deep sea diving suit and a third of them wouldn’t notice a thing
Given that there is still a pandemic in airports and airplanes, that is not too far off my outfit of choice these days.

I've never had pants long enough to really hide any heels that I'm wearing, so I only really have experience with "exposed" heel wearing. That said, I do realize now how much difference there can still be standing versus sitting:

Have her get you 40's style pin up heels. Chunkier heels, round toes and way higher than people think heels, 4 plus inches. They were dress shoes after all.
Haha, actually, she was showing me heels she is thinking of buying for herself, which is kind of exciting given that she never wears heels:

She won't be getting them for me though.

Haha, my wife threatened to get me dress shoes last night while we were planning outfits for a 1940s themed party coming up. Maybe I can convince her that I don’t want to do the urban outfit anymore and go for a classic country western look, wearing cowboy boots...

People can give quizzical, even critical looks and comments on what I am wearing, and I don’t have a problem with it. They are free to express themselves as freely as I dress myself. When you refer to threats, are you now referring to physical dangers, beyond just verbal and emotional dangers?

Hmmm, I understand you concern...Which is one reason I usually stick to pointed toe boots...My feet aren't that big to begin with, but looked freakishly small (to me anyway), when I had a pair of round toe boots with a slight platform and wore them with conventional levis...
What a great compliment indeed....Finally had a compliment last weekend in Chicago while wearing my Zara boots. A nice looking (well dressed) young man caught up with me and said: "cute shoes".... Not quite the compliment I was looking for, but welcomed it just the same with a smile and a thankyou....
Actually, I like slimmer look - it's like one of the trademarks of heels. You're right, it's not just an illusion, the toe shape matters. Here's a comparison of two boots of the same size that fit the same:
