Two weeks ago I bought a pair of Impo Ownery boots in black. Today I got them in Midnight Blue (and that's with my money).

I keep mine in book cases, so they don't touch each other, I have been lucky so far with no shoes deteriorating like you have described. I have blown out the side in one and I have also worn a pair into the ground.  I also keep the anti-mildew  patches with them.

Since I wear my heels everywhere I feel the power all the time and it is good. It is more than mere height (the extra 4 - 5 inches is nice), it's a way that you walk and carry yourself and how other people view you. Some are in awe, some are jealous, some envy, and, yes, some hate.
