Hi guys, not posting for a long while... But why not start with some photos of my new boots, a gift from my wife. I'm in love with them. Hope you like them.
Not really my cuppa tea - but they are very impressive... and having received them from your wife is very special.

Sad to say, that will be the last time I wear heels out. It was fun and I’m sure others have noticed and chatted about it.
Reason why I won’t be wearing heels out anymore because I will always be nervous and worry what others think. My wife stands at 4 foot 7 and I stand at 5 foot 11 without heels. She is self conscious about her height when we stand beside each other and me in heels makes that worse. I love my wife and have chosen not to make her feel that way. My wife is an amazing person to be with and supported me and my heel wearing . Now to respect how she feels.
I will I’ll post a pic of the heel later. Brand name is Mix 6
Good for you, mate.
As you say, you can still continue, albeit not with your wife

So great to have the support of your wife - and the hostess too!
What an amazing opportunity - hope the next one is not far off.

So Stunning, @SF - very envious!

I have some gray pants that are the same style, etc. I was going to wear jeans, but I already had picked out these pants for the day.
Looking good!
I would have gone with jeans I think - but this look good too!

PS @Peter1 - what did you think?

@Pierre and others who made similar comments - we're not all in the same boat as you folks. some of us might be at different "stops" along the journey. I don't think that's a reason to show disrespect, and I don't think that's what this forum is about.
And thanks to those who gave encouraging comments

Nice boots - all of you with a UK 8-9 are so lucky! Absolutely hate my size 11-12 feet, it's impossible to find boots like these.

I feel for you... luckily I can easily find heels at New Look etc - though many/most shops I still have trouble finding good sizes.

I have recently noticed women are starting slowly to wear high heel booties. In my way my heel love is asking me to wear high heels often. I was only wearing heels by occasional times since my old incident with my father few years ago. But now heeling takes more and more place in my mind. I dream about high heel I am looking for but I never find pretty boots or pumps in the stores when I sleep lol because all is changing HEHEHE!!!
There is Something I do not get it. The fashion of heels evolves and I find beautiful few kinds of high heel boots. They are black leather half suede behind.
Brownshoes: Melana--> http://www.brownsshoes.com/MELANA/235664,default,pd.html?dwvar_235664_color=013&sz=12&cgid=1305 but too expansive
Those one: http://www.brownsshoes.com/ARTICA/230866,default,pd.html?dwvar_230866_color=013&sz=12&cgid=813
OH! They are all really pretty but half leather and suede seem not to interesting but why this style?
Totally with you on this one... I think the reason is that they want to try make the shaft wrap nicely around your calf... and they can only do that with the stretchy back panel. even in there is a zip.
Love your taste, by the way

thank you for those kind words! i on the other hand loved the distressed look but i tan to a very deep and rich dark brown, with no hair on my legs. some gals like to see those colours peeking through on the thigh or on the back, up high. i know my gal pals like my super tanned look showing through but i'm going to stick with the store bought distressed look to avoid any unexpected wild rips and tears, like what happened back in August! a perfectly placed rip for the dance club but definitely not the diner...
we experienced the same beauty weather for a full 19 days in September and it was grand and glorious (i was at the cottage throughout!).
my recent weekend visit to the city was filled with some amusing adventures with a new gal pal who really appreciates my style: super skinny and show all jeans, black 6 inch heels, black tight t shirt, long black hair. and NO WHITE heels as far as she is concerned. she is more of an Ace of Spades kind of gal as it turns out. and NO pumps! i find it interesting how some gals will only accept one look! so i took my black Daelyns and my black Sherberts with me for my weekend adventures.
before i met up with her i went to a coffee shop, not the usual 2nd or 3rd class coffee shop but one of those high end places where you don't much see the red neck quacks who disagree with a man in high heels and say so out loud. i went into this coffee shop around 5 p.m., dolled up and ready for an evening of amusements, no confidence issues as i knew i looked good and i knew where i was going with the evening: a very fun time. so i marched in there with head held high and ordered something dark, full bodied, and took a seat by the windows, and started goofing off with my phone messages. there weren't many folks in there, maybe a half dozen, but pretty soon i had that feeling i was being watched!
i saw an older gal, very elegant, sitting alone. on her table she had a cup of coffee and a note pad, an actual old school pen and paper note pad... interesting! anyway i looked at her and she immediately looked away. but i found it exciting and soon was turned onto the show business side of wearing high heels and skin tight jeans. i don't know if it happens to you guys but when i know i'm being watched, i like to give them something look at!
here is the look i was sporting:
of course i can only show you this much as any more would get me booted! but you get the idea. i have to admit: it is fun when you know a lady is watching! after a half hour of amusements i grabbed my stuff and quickly left, walking confidently out the door and across the street to my car. of course i had to look back and i saw her sitting there watching me!
Stunning look - I love it!

It took some of the women at my church a few weeks to notice lol.
I wore them out today to a local art fair for 5+ hours and they were so comfortable!
That's great!
Hope the baby is doing well...
Keep heeling - hope to see more soon!

Really fab, @wastheels.

I apologize that I don't have a picture to post at the moment, but I was too excited and had to tease a bit.
The one lady I know who sells mass quantities of items on eBay recently had put a pair of boots on there that I had been looking to purchase for quite some time.
To say I was ecstatic when she negotiated the price with me AND my wife agreed to them(I did have to sacrifice birthday and Christmas lol), but they're totally worth it...
The style is Melissa button back-zip in antique grey.
You're mean ... to tease us like this...

I figure these should go pretty un-noticed... for a novice public heeler

Thanks all for your input.... happy to have facilitated one of the busier threads here for a while
Some further clarification: Take a look at my albums, you will see I am no stranger to high heels (truly high!). My topic here focuses specifically on *public* heeling - for which I have virtually no experience. so yes... these Chelsea boots at the beginning barely pass for having 'heels'... but for me its a start. yes - some of us started with 6", but I think that's the exception rather than the rule. For me to start with simple fem virtually flat boots (but still fashionable!) is a place to start and hopefully gain confidence...
Thanks to those who understand where I am coming from, like @Shyheels , @pebblesf, @SF , @Heelster and @Peter1 and others
Thanks also for the suggestion for something like Cuban or western high heels - had not thought of those... though still prefer the fem heel style!
Also I agree - most of us just want nice looking heels - and not always extreme, or the highest or most fetish looking on the market. we all have our styles, and that's OK.
