1. *UPDATE!* Chris G. is in town (just got word from Raven tonight) and he's already discovered Rave's! Uh ohh...he's hooked now! We're meeting up either on Friday, or Saturday for sure, so I'll be sure to give a full report once the weekend is over. I should also have plenty of pics to post as well! Those will be included on my site under the soon-to-be completed photo gallery page! Have a SOOOOOOOPER weekend! I know I will!

  2. I would say most types of.... PLATFORMS! _________________ "I'm clicking my ruby slippers three times, but my teleporter is BROKEN!" [ This Message was edited by: ShockQueen on 2002-06-12 22:09 ] [ This Message was edited by: ShockQueen on 2002-06-12 22:09 ]

  3. Nothing wrong with planning your wardrobe around your heels! I've been guilty of doing that one! * When you convert extra closets in your house into shoe racks. * When your co-workers give you weird stares for wearing flats. * When your living room looks more like a shoe store than a living room. Enjoy!

  4. I'll try to get one of my friends who has a decent digital camera to take some pictures of my many styles, and then I'll post them up here for you to see. They aren't too fancy - just your basic 5" stiletto pump, just in SILVER :grin:. I'll let you know as soon as I get some piccies to post. SQ

  5. Today I decided to be just a bit more unusual at work (that's possible??), and wore a pair of nice shiny silver pumps, since I was wearing black with a lot of silver accenting on different parts of my body (rings, earrings). Favorable reactions all around, and people seem to enjoy my adventurous ways, so that's an added plus. Yes, JeffB, I have fallen victim to the pump siren's song once again

  6. I didn't think it was possible, but after almost 4+ months in nothing but heels, I'm actually able to stride along as if I'm not wearing heels at all, and that's saying a lot since I have a LOT of leg stride. I remember a few years ago when I tried to wear heels for any distance, and walked quite slow and my steps were closer together. I guess it's true that after a while it becomes as natural as breathing!   HOORAY!

  7. When I wore the 8" sandals, I came about 2 inches from the top of the shortest doorframe, so I've been lucky so far. They are a dream to walk in though.

I did get some others that were shorter though. The pair I have is black and black sole, but this is the style:

They go GREAT with trousers or even jeans! These are also in my 'everday-wear' category for wearing to work, which I wore them today.

Just call me the fashion plate of our call center!

Hee hee hee....that blue car by the stop sign (?) looks like the body style of my old '76 Toyota Corolla!

Hope you had a simply WONDERFUL time, Firefox! I hope you post many more pics of your journeys!

  9. As long as you are walking well in the 4" heels, then I would say go for it as long as your sense of balance is good (and aren't planning on getting  too  tipsy). I've found that I can currently wear any style that has a 4" "true lift", such as 6" heel w/2" plat. Give it a try - it couldn't hurt!

  10. Yes, every pair that I've discussed/posted here has been seen at the call center I work in   I'm just fortunate to be in such an open and supportive environment. It makes the days go much smoother and happier knowing that my fashion sense isn't thumbed at or looked down upon.

  11. I say "CONGRATS!" on taking it up to the next level! Since your S.O. is cool with the pumps, I'd say that you have firmly put your foot in the door, and you have nothing to fear. Way to go! All together now....with FEELING! WALLS DOWN! HEELS UP!! **WHACK!!** There goes yet another chunk off of that darn ol' wall!

  12. *sigh*....I think all this is doing is making a stronger case for the board admins to disallow anonymous posters here. I've seen it happen all too often where anonymous people just hover around and attack people, so my feeling is that they should have to register in order to post. After all....even in courts, one has the right to know their accuser.
