I may love exploring my style side, but that's just too out there for even me.

Just bought a pair of merlot Lance Flex Pumps from Payless this morning before they rapidly sold out once again - you gotta be quick to nick six buck pumps these days! I missed out twice, but third time was the charm.

I like the padding idea better than clear tape. Perhaps a cobbler might be able to attach a strap midway to turn them into mary-janes?

I have a brand new one now, and yes.....that IS me in it.

Right now, it's 6 1/2" with platform and 5" without platform. I still need practice in the boots as they feel like 5" heels arch-wise.

I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually. Besides...you're saving quite a bit making your own clothes. It's a skill not many people have nowadays.

I would think it would lace up the side just as you would the front - just a 90 degree difference - but that's just me.

The only real resolution I have as far as heeling goes is to be able to walk better in 5" heels, since I have some of those, but don't go very far in them. I have one pair of knee-high leather boots with 5" stiletto heels that I'd love to be able to wear a lot more, but of course will take some practice to get good at it - that and lose some weight. :-)

I would check eBay as well - you never know what you might find. I still have a pair of gold clip ornaments that I put on my pumps from time to time. Nice accent pieces. I'd like to find some bows someday though.

I love self-timers on webcams - makes for good shots. Here is a pic of my new favorite color - "Don't Toy With Me" Love it!

I would if it meant I could go to more stores and be able to try on before I buy - no problem! It would be nice to see more styles that don't scream hooker or "CFM" in larger sizes for those of us with a bit larger tootsies.

I love the fact that my wife is so open and supportive of my many habits (heels being one OF COURSE! *grin*) that I wouldn't trade her for anything! She is truly one in a million to me :-)

Thanks for the votes of encouragement. I'll do my best to get a pic taken then and get it posted. :-) I loved all the red I had on last night, and probably just should have taken a picture then.

Last night, I had a red long-sleeve turtleneck, red nails, and 4" red heels, along with my flare jeans - I thought it looked good, but didn't want to take a picture, as the last time I did, I just had to delete it. Right now I'm just too wide to be gorgeous in a picture.

Actually it is. It's called "crossplay", where the males assume female anime roles and vice versa - the most pervasive of this being guys who dress as the Sailor Moon characters. That's all I'll say about it, since that's not really heel-related. I do love the outfit though.

I just picked up a new color from their new 2008 Holiday collection called "Don't Toy With Me" that sparkles and is just pretty! Will have to send a modeling pic of it soon!

You and me both, my friend. The amounts available above size 12 seems to be a very scarce quantity indeed. Every once in a while, we'll luck out and get something truly awesome, but most of the time it's slim pickings outside of the stripper varieties.

Awesome posting there wood&metal, and I hope you have many more good outings in the future! It seems to be the ladies that appreciate a guy in stylish heels than other males, but perhaps that could be due to state of mind or confidence. If you put the look together and top it off with a classy pair of heels, then it just looks S-H-A-R-P all the way around!

My street heels tend to be round-toed, unless I'm wearing my leather knee-high boots - those are classic stiletto with the classic pointed toe.
