And every time you go up to a till with something which says it costs, say, $1.99 you can't plop down two one-dollar bills in chance and expect a penny back. It's always more because of a hefty sales tax that doesn't even appear on the price tag. And for thievery on many levels do you not pay a state income tax? Sussex, Kent, Devonshire, Yorkshire - counties in England do not, and cannot, levy income taxes. Your government's thievery exists on more levels than ours.
