I sure do wear my stilettos to university sometimes. This saturday, out partying, I wore my white leather ankle boots with side lacing and fake fur around the top of the shaft(?). 12 cm stiletto heel, 1,5cm platform. they went well with my white leather pants. today I'm not sure, some kind of heel will be worn.

I think Fifty Percent Gray should have won the award for Best Animated Short.

I'm around 5'8" (I think, never really figured those measurments out) without heels. In heels I'm between 184 and 188 cm tall. I have no idea what that is in feet and inches.

Anyhow, they only suit a minority and are not classic fashion which stiletto's are.

hmm, I seem to recall pictures of platform shoes from as early as the 18th century, whereas stilettos appeared around the 50s... how do you define classic?

My first pair of real heels was actually a pair of 6" black patent oxfords. I was more into fetish shoes back then. Alas they were too large, so I sold them. Never could really walk in them either.

If I'm wearing heels at the time, I compare the heel of the shoe I'm interested in with the heel I'm wearing. I also compare the length of the shoe, since I don't want the toes to be too long. You can always ask the staff for a ruler.
