  1. Not such a fan of the Giambattista Valli heels, not keen on the ankle-area. I know one colour is missing from your excellent montage and that's the dark gold coloured sandals which is the colour I have mine in. They're mesmerising and never fail to get comments!

  2. 1. Normally 5" heels (courts normally, sandals sometimes) with a pencil skirt and thin jumper-style top 2. Some great heels like my YSL Tributes or my Loubies with a fairly plain dress. For example I have worn a flowy black knee length dress with purple sash/ribbon around the waist with my Louboutins. I find if you have amazing heels then it is good to keep the rest of the outfit simple 3. A pencil skirt again, and some expensive heels again with a corset-style top or something along those lines 4. I always struggle with weddings. I would probably wear similar to a formal night out, and wear some night heels, a summery-style dress or perhaps pencil skirt and nice top 5. I would do a fancy dress party so people could go mad. One of my favourite outfits is 1980s where I can wear hot pink pointy courts, leg warmers, rara skirt and tight short sleeved top

  3. I'd probably kill for a pair of YSL Tributes... If someone bought me some of the Sugababes heels from Office I'd pray that they kept the receipt!

I suppose at least the Sugas aren't messing around and changing the soles on expensive shoes. I love how they look with the coloured soles but I wouldn't like it if they were messing around with YSLs or even worse, Louboutins.
  4. I couldn't really make out the shoes in the pictures that well because they're black and they have black tights on, but it was the soles that I thought were so cool, I just loved the colour coordination between their soles and their belts. I have YSL Tributes but they're the sandals, but they are gorgeous shoes, defo one of my faves.

  5. Wow, sounds like I was lucky then Bubba136. I have fallen off my platforms a few times in my life, normally doing something silly at the time (I can't remember falling off just walking around like I did the other day) and every time I remember my foot going completely sideways. I have never actually injured myself amazingly, sure I will one day though :S

  6. I virtually live in rara skirts and pencil skirts. I must admit I have a lot of black skirts (both rara and pencil) just because they're neutral and easy to wear different colours with, but I have rara skirts in virutally every colour known to man. They look great in bright colours like the ones you have posted.

  7. Whoops, I missed your post. Just going through the forum today trying to find suitable topics to post in, lol. My sort out did remind me of a few shoes I have forgotten about. A lot that I wore to work received comments like "Ooh, I haven't seen those before, are they new" (even though people mock me because they never see me in the same pair twice, lol). So yes, I have a few new favourites that I never realised I had. I gave away probably ten pairs as a result of the move, and I have room for nearly 100 more shoes so I need to go and buy some more!

  8. I've been spending loads on heels recently. It has gone from under £100 to nearly £500! I haven't really been spending money on anything else. I had a cheaper month last month thanks to New Look, but this month have spent £700 on just two pairs of shoes

  9. Was pottering around the house yesterday so was wearing my 8.5" platforms around as I like to keep on top of walking on top of skyscraper shoes and not a second after thinking "wow, I haven't had any accidents on heels recently..." I fell off them. I'm not even sure how it happened, I think I trod on the edge of a rug though and both my ankles snapped out from under me, both heels were pointing inwards and fell to the ground, lol! Believe me, 8.5" is a long way to fall for little old me. I even managed to chip the laminate floor and took a chunk out the bottom of my shoes presumably with the heel. I'm pretty confident on my platforms it has to be said, but every so often a fall like that reminds me to be careful

  10. I kind of agree with Danielinheels in that they're for children so young it isn't like these padded bras and thongs you see/read about for 8 or 9 year olds, it is probably more for comic effect, but nevertheless I think they're still quite creepy. There is something a bit wrong about whoever thought that idea up IMHO.

  11. I spend most of the money I earn on shoes and but anything from Pleaser and Ellie to Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and YSL and anything in between. I agree you get what you buy for, my Louboutins are just off the scale in terms of quality but I think Pleasers are fine for what they are - cheap and cheerful shoes. I would never wear them out to impress someone but I don't think there's anything wrong with them for the price you pay. If we're using car analagies then my boss used to have a Mercedes and I used to have a Peugeot 106 (a cheap French car). My 106 lasted and lasted and never let me down, while his car broke down regularly and was unreliable. It was better built, but for what I wanted at the time my little cheap car was more than up to the job. Sorry if I am in this "crowd of people" who doesn't know/care, it's just my opinion

  12. Can't add this pic as an attachment because it is too big but check out these heels from the Sugababes: They're wearing matching shoes apart from one difference: Amelle's have red soles to match her red belt, Keisha's have yellow soles to match her yellow belt and Heidi's have green soles to match her green belt. Seriously, how cool is that?!

  13. From the pics in your first post, you have posted them in order of how much I like them: First pair of shoes (the red Chic-14 ones) are really nice IMHO, the pink courts are pretty nice, not so keen on the red courts with the strap and I don't like the last pair at all. I have got several pairs of the Chic-14 shoes and they're really nice. Pleaser shoes are great, very comfy although you might find the soles wear quickly. Can't fault them other than that though. Hope this helps.

  14. I have those gold Tributes that I bought from Browns. They're the only pair of YSLs that I have but they're one of my favourite pairs of shoes. They're so elegant but turn heads whenever I wear them. Although I know he was retired, you have to appreciate the amount of influence he had not only in designs like this, but in so much of fashion. He will be sorely missed but I suspect his legacy and influence will last for many more years yet.

  15. Don't worry, you didn't touch a nerve with me, I was just offering my point of view  Richie, yes, you understood exactly what I was trying to say. I think as a woman it is easier for me to talk shoes in the 'real world' where as it must be a lot more difficult, even if you have the confidence to wear heels in public. I agree the girl's forum is a lot quieter, but there are far less girl members here from what I can work out. I have posted a few new threads, polls and topics in the Girls Only forum, so hopefully this might encourage more conversation, but at the moment more men have replied to my posts there than girls  Don't worry guys, I'm not offended, I just hope that more girls will seize the opportunity and talk :wink1:
