Thought this might be a fun topic to do every month - what are everybody's plans for the forthcoming month?
I got a good pay packet again, so I have sold three pairs of shoes (two Pleasers and one pair of Sergio Rossi Lombardia wedges) so that I can buy myself another pair of YSL Tributes and another pair of Pleasers to replace the ones I sold.
I am hoping to buy around 5-10 pairs of shoes this month as a result. I have a few work functions and a wedding coming up so there's plenty of opportunity to wear some great shoes.
What do you have planned for the next month? What will you be buying and what will you be wearing?

Well, my favourite shoes on there aren't on sale, and I don't actually like *any* of the Louboutins on there, but I do like:

Problem is I have shoes already that are pretty similar so I don't like them enough to buy

I also love the shoes you linked.

Officially I have 142 pairs. This includes heels, boots and wedges. Add to this about 10 pairs of trainers and 10 pairs of flip flops and I probably have about 160 pairs in total. All 142 pairs are catalogued (!) and stored in my shoe room, the rest are in my wardrobe. Lol, I'm obsessed.

Open definitely! I love sandals, flip flops and mules, I have quite a few court shoes but the majority are peeptoes or something that shows my feet off. I don't like ballet flats personally but they're a massively popular shoe and I can see why people like them. I didn't used to like toe clevage but I like the look even though very very few of my shoes come close to showing off toe clevage. I love strappy sandals in the summer, they're my favourite kind of heel.

Guys should not be responding in the girls section and their posts don't normally last long before moderators delete them.

I am beginning to understand the male/female ratio just because us women are always talking about heels to each other, while men don't have as much of a chance to which is why they're here. I think men are more 'forum types' too, most forums seem to have lots of men vs lots of women. I think as well a lot of the topics I start here are applicable to both women and men, such as "how tall are you", "how high are your heels", "what are your favourite heels" etc - all applicable whether you're guy/girl, while there are plenty more male-related topics that aren't relevant to girls.

Thanks! I love wearing extreme skyscraper heels just because it's fun, my other half loves them too. That's the good thing about heels, there are different heels for different occassions. I would hardly wear any of my bedroom shoes out of the house (although it has been done, I've written that story here before, lol) which is why I have so many 'normal' heels. Makes me appreciate the higher ones for different reasons more tho.
-
Hi, yes, worn them a few times but still not as much as I want to. I've just been too busy recently with nights out which of course calls for a different type of shoe! I literally have nothing on this weekend so I am going to spend it dossing about the house. I aim to wear a lot of heels of course, mainly ones which are still fairly new to me but I am liking the idea of wearing my 12-inchers for nearly a day, just so that I become a pro in them!

Yes, I 100% love the challenge, although it's less of a challenge now that I'm used to them! Maybe when the novelty wears off I will sell them on

-
Oh noooo! How am I supposed to resist?!
-
I always wear heels and people always remark on them, and they have defo made a positive impression and people normally complement my fashion sense, but I don't think (or at least I hope) I haven't been promoted on the weight of the shoes I wear. I'd like to think me being good at my job helps

-
I've got a similar pair to these now, Karo 0257s. They're better looking than this IMHO so I can confidently say without doubt that with a bit of practice I defo can walk in these. I'm not a massive fan of these shoes though so will be selling them on soon but my feet and legs do look great in them now that I've trained my legs to be straight in them!

I live near Brighton (waves out window to benno) and agree. Brighton attracts many ecclectic people and a lot of people are from London who visit Brighton because it's a good city to go out in which is why so many dress for the occassion. I think this ups the ante and raises the standard of what's normal for everyone else who in turn wear them to work and out and about. That's the problem then. In London and where I live in Brighton (60 miles south of London on the coast) there are thousands of women wearing ridiculously high heels everywhere you care to look. They wear them to work, to the supermarket, on nights out and even to the beach on the pebbles. There are even quite a few men that regularly wear heels.
London is great too, a very cosmopolitan city with a lot of lush, lush shops. Lots of 5" heels trotting around too. European cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Rome and Paris also have a lot of women who love their shoes.

Wow, special thanks to Chrissy85 who has had a busy day breathing a bit of life into this forum! Thanks

I don't know much about corsets but I have a corset-style top which I really like to wear as part of one of my favourite outfits. It feels tight at first but I get used to it pretty quickly. What's good about wearing them is that they show off my curves quite nicely (I'm very petite but it accentuates my figure) and as for what type, sorry, I have no idea!
-
Anything around 1.5" is fine and almost doesn't count for me. I have so many like this, some of which conceal the platform (my New Look shoes and Louboutins) and some of which make a real effort to show off the platform like my YSL Tributes where the platform is quite a big feature. Neither are anywhere near being tarty. Obviously platform stripper-style shoes are but I think it has more to do with the colour, material and style of the shoe more than the platform that makes it tarty.
-
I'm exactly the same as you Chrissy85. Everyone's a winner - I like wearing heels, my BF likes me wearing heels, I like him liking me wear heels and that's probably why about 1/3rd of my collection is just for me and my OH and has never left the house
-
I don't really do anything, lol. I give neither less or more. If they want to look that's fine and I don't mind, that's what I wear my heels for. I don't tease by dangling or anything.
-
I wore heels sometimes at school but not much, but I started doing ballet and dance and thought I needed to improve my balance and posture so got some silly heels to wear at home. My OH liked my heels so I got sillier shoes still (like stripper style platforms) and got tens of shoes over 6" high. I still love my platforms but also love expensive shoes that I wear out, and nice tall heels for work. So now it has taken over my life and I have heels for every occassion.
-
I have, but I have only worn them for fancy dress and at home, never out. Fashion is fickle which is why they're not "accepptable". Anything different is frowned upon or likely to turn heads. Thing is, for as many heads that disapprovingly look, as many will probably think it's cute.
-
It's very kind what you say about my legs, I appreciate it. Thanks for non-ogling me
Most of my heels I sell to my friends or my sister, mainly because it's easier as I don't have to bother with packing and sending like I would have through eBay. I only have UK5 size feet so they're probably too small for many members here too. -
I have a photographer friend who I haven't seen for ages and I'm hoping to have him take a few pics of me in my Loubies and Tributes. I probably will never buy a camera tho because when I sell my shoes I buy more! That's what I did to buy my last pair of Louboutins. I'm not a massive fan of those wooden shoes either. They were hand-me-downs from a friend and well worn even when I got them. Only had them for a year or so but they were quite nice holiday shoes.

Whoops, I missed this post! What a great pic, I love all your pics on your Flickr gallery!Roz, your avatar looks cool. Hope you like mine too :-)
Anyway, I've added a new avatar, it shows the same shoes just worn properly! See the attached for a larger pic and click here for the original pic of me in the car park from page 1: http://www.hhplace.org/discuss/attachments/hhplace_cafe_-_general_chit_chat/2119d1209569536-about_my_new_avatar-image1.jpg

I don't know why but I've never really liked anything more than a simple ankle strap around my ankles. I rarely like a shoe with anything more than that. As you say, just personal preference tho. I love the purple YSL Tributes trimmed with gold (similar to the ones you posted). Defo a pair of shoes very high on my wishlist when I can afford them. I also quite like the yellow pair of Tributes in that page you posted, very bright and very summery!
