I damaged the laminate floor in my flat when I fell off some platforms. The heel kind of caught on one of the seams in the floor and chipped away a chunk.

I've been saving, and I've been selling shoes to fund my latest trip to London. I got the following shoes:

27_284_0750.jpg are some hot pink 5" peeptoes from Barratts. Got these for £25 as they were on sale. Really pleased with these, especially that I don't ever remember going to Barratts before.

94_531_0522.jpg were also on sale - got these for £20. I know some people don't like wedges but I love these ones. I'm quite fussy with wedges it has to be said but I'm well pleased with them.

faith.jpg I got from Debenhams - also on sale! Not my usual style but I love the arch on these. They're pretty steep for 5" high street heels. Faith are always great so I'm looking forward to trying these.

ysl1.jpg are my peice de la resistence! Thanks Benno for bringing these shoes to my attention. They're a bit more "fiddly" than I would normally go for, but trust me, in person they look outstanding. They're purple and gold, a token nod to my two pairs of Louboutins and my previous YSLs respectively.

Not sure how I'm going to afford the nights out to wear these shoes though!!

I'm happy when it happens, because it means I'm not just spending money on heels just for me, it's something that's noticed by more people.

With regards to shipping being expensive, a lot of people have the product price artificially low so they appear near the top of eBay listings, and then make up the difference with the postage and packing which is artificially high.

I don't smoke, but maybe it's just down to the fact that you're either always in heels (so obviously would be wearing heels when you smoke) or that you wear heels to places were you smoke, ie, on nights out.

Thanks for the replies. Yes that's me in the avatar. The pic is about 2 years old and the shoes were about 4 years old in that pic. I seem to remember them being Karo but I'm not 100% sure and I doubt they're made now as the design would probably be about 8 years old by now. Sorry I can't be more help, lol

I found a similar pair to the original one Benno mentioned, with dark purple and gold trim instead of dark blue and gold. I've sold some shoes recently and so I might go up to London tomorrow and see what I can find. In answer to your original question Benno, it seems I can only keep my card in my bag for just over a week, lol!

Gwyneth has been busy promoting Iron Man in some incredible heels that have got a lot of press coverage with many papers claiming she has been wearing 7" heels. All seem to be a max of 6" including hidden platforms, but are all incredible.

My favourites are in the 2nd pic (gwynethpaltrow02.jpg) - can anyone ID these please, I beg of you!
