Well, fortunately I got promoted a few months ago which helps, but shoes are my main interest which is why most of my disposable income is spent on shoes. Just like people spend their money on their favourite hobbies I spend mine on shoes

-
They aren't anything like my avatar ones, they were a lot more sensible (lol) and only have a 1.5" platform and are white with dark swirly pink patterns on. They're really cute and girly. I spent probably about £800 all on shoes today, lol.

Just got back from a day in London, been saving up for this trip and had a lot of fun. Christian Louboutin was shut so I didn't go there but I managed to buy 4 pairs of shoes from Dune (1 peeptoe, 1 platform sandal, 2 wedge sandals), 2 pairs of wedges from Faith and some silver mirrored wedges from Jimmy Choo. I have wanted to get some new wedges for ages so am really happy I managed to pick up five new pairs of wedges and two great heels. I will try and find pics/details online later if you want.

I'm gonna go tomorrow funnily enough.

Well I don't drink beer but I have been drunk in heels, yes.It does make it quite a bit more of a challenge as you can imagine.
-
They seem as big a deal as ever IMHO, bigger probably, particularly as GB are doing really really well this year.
-
I suppose the highest heels I've seen are ones I've worn. I wore white 8 inch platforms once with a fancy dress outfit (that I think I've said about before - I wore it with a white billowy skirt, white vest top and angel wings) and a week ago I wore 7" army camouflage platforms with another fancy dress outfit. The highest heels other than my own that I've seen though must have been 7" platform wedged sandals. They had cork wedges with probably a 2 or 3" platform. Funniest thing was I saw them at a theme park, completely inpractical even by my standards!! I have also seen a lot of platform sandals, many looking like cheap YSL Tributes (nothing wrong with that). These are normally 6-6.5". The highest I've seen celebs etc wear are probably Sarah Brightman who wore 7.5" red Ellie platforms.

I hope so. I expect most of the shoes will be between £400-500 and I'm already putting money aside for at least one of those pairs. I'm getting quite a Louboutin collection now!
-
Does anyone know when exactly the Loubies on this page will hit the shops? I am falling in love with one of the pairs of shoes and really want to get them in the next month or so. Thanks.
-
Oh my god, I am completely in love with La Piaza's shoes, I am going to have to really resist getting those - or just crumble and buy loads (which is more likely!)
-
Just looked at my collection, the Pleasers are Beau-601 which are cork, but they also come in stacked wood variety too, do a Google image search for Pleaser Beau and you will see loads.
The Tony ones are cork too and are "W507". Again not very steep but very high. Not sure if the Tony's Shoes ones are still available, but there are plenty of places that sell their shoes.
-
I have a couple of super high wedges from Tony's and a pair of Pleasers, all of which I think are 7" high. Neither are quite as steep as these ones but they're massive and great fun to wear. I wouldn't wear the Pleasers out of the house but the Tony's ones aren't too cheap looking. I know Elite Heels do a great looking pair of wedges too, I can find out more info if you want?

I must admit I have seen a lot of Miu Miu shoes where I love the style of them. Really cute girly sandals. I am also interested to hear what people think so thanks everyone so far
-
I quite like those! Nice angle, although probably a bit too plain for wedges that high.

Thanks again for your replies. I know there is only so much you can say in reply to my posts but don't forget you can click that Say Thanks button, it lets me know you're still reading and more to the point still enjoying
I really didn't mean to make a big deal out of it and I'm not emotionally blackmailing I just thought people had lost interest but as you guys say I was wrong
Maybe I will start posting pics again, but hope it's OK if I take a break for the time being.
Also surprised HHDude you liked the wedges and plats, I sometimes think there are very few wedge/plat fans here

I hope nobody thinks I'm sulking or angry (not that anyone has suggested this), it was just that I had no way of telling if people were reading the thread or not. I'm glad there are a few members who liked the pics though, so thanks

I am still here, but taking a break from this thread, thanks for your post though!
-
Thanks for the replies. Not sure if I want them as such, but they caught my eye, possibly just because they're such large platforms and I can count the celebs I've seen in platforms like that on one hand (Jamelia, Sarah Brightman and Gwen Stefani are the only ones I can think of). All of her group (The Saturdays) seem to love large and colourful shoes, will be interesting to see if it starts off a new trend!!

Sorry, in the first paragraph I was talking about my 12" Elite Heels, then in the second paragraph I was just saying about how I'm buying a lot more shoes recently which means I seem to have less time to wear each shoe.

Well, not many people were replying so I wasn't sure if people were still looking. I was hoping people could ID some of the shoes etc, but not many people were even clicking "thanks" so I didn't want to spend a lot of time finding good pictures to post if people had got bored of the thread. Good to know a few members like the pics though. Maybe I will start the thread up again soon but I need to know enough people are interested as it takes a while to do those posts.

If I ever have money I buy more shoes not a camera! Someone got a pic of me in my Tributes though, might post those when I have a mo. These shoes I'm pretty good at walking in now. I probably only wear them every few weeks but wear them for a few hours when I do. I'm not wobbly at all on them, and just need to watch where I'm walking. I got rid of a rug that kind of tripped me up in another pair of shoes so that's one less obstacle to avoid!! I have had a massive few months of buying shoes. I sold a few but have bought far more. I have had a payrise so now have quite a lot of extra money per month to spend on shoes. I seem to be buying one super expensive pair and up to 10 cheap pairs every month. Next month I might try and buy two expensive pairs including a pair of Loubies I've had my eye on. Platform wise, I have recently bought some silver Karo 910s, some Ellie Juliet 601s in camouflage for a fancy dress party and some Karo 526s. I also have my eye on some 8 inchers and that will do me for a while as I already have more platforms than I can wear. Can never have enough going out shoes though. Thanks for thinking of me, lol.

Well, purple is my favourite colour, and it just so happens to be uncommon. It wasn't deliberate, and I'm sure if there were 100 purple Louboutins I would probably buy them all - which I can't afford!!
-
Ye gods! That is amazing, really, really amazing. Just. Amazing! There are so many shoes I love on that page it would be ridiculous to list them. I have kind of fallen into a trap of buying nothing but purple Louboutins, it's just a kind of tradition now, so fortunately there aren't many on there that I'll be buying. I love the anemone plumes, but I think the plumes are too big IMHO and I would end up walking like I've got rickets or something. I've got a pair of shoes that have plumes on and the plumes are angled to the outside so that I don't kick, scrub or damage them, I can see myself getting tangled up and falling over into a big ball of feathers and ribbons!!
