Amanda: I believe I saw someone else post a question similar to "Would you still wear high heels if your s/o wore all the heels you would want to wear?" I think it would diminish my interest in some of the more exotic forms, but I would still be interested in developing a social acceptance of some form of men's heels other than cuban heels (which are not appealing to me, and usually relatively short anyway).

And disagreements between Scotland and Britain led to an end of skirts (kilts). Funny how these historical wars lead to fashion stigmas that last hundreds of years...

The idea is not to blend into a crowd.

Not blending into a crowd is easy. Standing out because you almost blend in is a better goal, in my opinion.

HappyFeat has the right of it. Campuses are open, and they're not likely to stop you---so long as it's a medium- to large-sized, semi-cosmopolitan university. It really depends on what kind of campus it is. If you're going many miles out of your way to an ugly, small campus, that's suspicious. If it's nearby, nice campus, then it's perfectly reasonable for you to enjoy taking a walk there. Try to avoid bringing up keywords like VTech. That was a student committing the crime. Almost every major incident on a college campus involves a student committing crimes. (Of course, almost every person on a college campus is a student, which does bias the statistics quite a bit.)
