ok, upgrade all finished, I've left the old site on the old server closed and had everything migrated in about 20 minutes, including the DNS, and it seems several members are already seeing the website from the new server. So, all finished..

Just a little something to think about guys.

If I'm out with my lady and she is in heels and I am not, I cannot give her the undivided attention she deserves because every time I look down , I see her heels and wish I was wearing them to.

On the other hand, when we are both wearing heels, I can concentrate better and focus more on her needs and look more at her eyes and not her shoes and give her the attention she deserves.

This make any sense?

No offence intended, but it sounds like you find the shoes more important than your wife? Especially as you can only give your wife your full attention if your also wearing similar shoes.

Right guys Here we go yet again... Brand new server is ready, so, probably Wednesday night or Thursday night I will move the website to its new server. This will probably be done Thursday afternoon early daytime to allow enough time for the new DNS to propogate by the weekend, reducing user downtime as I know you all love to logon over the weekend... So, with any luck........ Thursday afternoon we will be running from the new server. I will completely close the website on this server and leave it closed for good, so if you see the website is open, it means your viewing the website from its new home, if you see website closed, phone your ISP and tell them to update their DNS records ASAP, or get a better ISP. I guess I'm lucky as my ISP updates DNS records within the hour, every hour (BT Business) but those of you using AOHell, may not see the DNS update for a few days.... Anyway, back to my broom cupboard now.. Sorry to bother you all...

Isnt that why some stores measure the heel height up the inside of the heel instead of the back, which gives heel height to the point where the actual heel on your foot meets the arch?

Hey guys/girls Apologies for the extended downtime but the server upgrade went completely "tit's up" so hats off to those loverly folk at Cpanel.net Managed to fix everything anyway, so now were running on all the latest software versions of PHP5.2.5, MySQL5, Apache 2.2+ and a ton of other stuff like php accelerators, optimisers etc... Anyway, apologies again for the extended downtime, I'm off to bed now, see you all on Saturday at the miller...

Guys I have had to delete over 50% of the replies in this thread as you guys are obviously unable to keep a thread on topic, nor able to see the very reason we have our specific rules in place is because of this very behaviour. If you have a problem or question about the way the website is run/moderated/enforced etc then does this look like the place to ask it? Honestly, does it? Now, any more off topic posts here and I'll obviously have to lock the thread. Dont you think we have enough to do without faffing about cleaning up the mess you lot make

Just a quick FYI to let you all know that the server this websie is on will be upgraded Tuesday Night / Wednesday Morning starting from around Midnight UK time. During this time there will be NO access to the website from 23:30pm UK time to allow 30 minutes to clear all web sessions and take backups of all database's before the upgrades get under way. Total downtime should only be a few hours, so hopefully, if everything goes to plan, the website should be back online around 03:00 UK time. If the upgrade goes "pete tong" then i'll do my best to fix it asap but I have another community website with 25,000 members to sort out first. This website will also be moving to a brand new server by the end of Feb anyway, more power, more speed and more resiliance to failiures (Should they ever happen) with off site NAS backups from March. So, bare with me, things should be faster and faster in the up-coming weeks.

I have to agree with the bulk of other's here and say that I think TBG's "Path" is quite off track. The shoes you choose to wear do not decide on your path to gender assimilation at all, and you make it sound like every guy who wants to wear heels, wants to or will end up wanting to dress like a woman! 6pm in the day, in a busy place like that full of other like minded visitors/tourists, all hungry and no doubt have been to pizza hut during the day...

You do realise that even pizza hut run out of stock on occassion, just as any retailer might on a busy day.. They dont make the entire pizza's, they have frozen base's and just throw on the ingredients before it goes in the oven.

They were not turned away though, just informed that the store had "run out of Pizza's", they could have stayed for something else to eat.

What about a girl being more interested in your shoes than you. Would that be OK, or would she be "weird"

Of course, she would be "obsessive weird".

Its one thing to "take an interest" in anothers appearance or belongings, but when that interest is more meaningful than the person itself then its "weird" in a "obsessive" way.

Its no similar to having friends who only want to be your friend to use your gym/car/boat/house/anythingelse

I wonder what would happen if Will ever wanted a games console or to build a train set as a hobby.... Are those just for children? Will, I'd love to know if your wife has had many relationships before you, and how long they had lasted? Might be worth going down that road if the trip to the therapist ever happens. Sounds like she wasnt even open to discussion, or even curious to ask anything or why you want to do whatever you want to do. When a person really loves you, you would expect them to at least be curious enough to talk to you about things they might not like or would even at least want to know why. How long have you been with your wife?

Sounds like your feet are trying to tell you to take it easy and dont rush things... 5" heels are high so you should probably consider working up to it gradually.. The balls of your feet may not be used to carrying the weight of your body around on their own.

"The south east" is extreme generalisation dont you think? Maybe if you actually suggest some locations, people might then get an idea of where, and then if they could make it...

When you register, neither of the 2 options are pre-selected, it actually ask's you to select one, so there isnt anything to "change"

I've not got any emails from you, or anybody regarding this, so I'd love to know how you "emailed the webmaster" because if you have "emailed the webmaster" and I havent received it, then chances are that other people may have also emailed me and I havent received it either..???

What can we do, as a community, to lessen the fear and trepidation these other people have?

People only form their opinions based on what they see and hear about right?

So, if people never see any guys in heels, or the only time they ever see a guy in heels is a cross dresser, then can you really blame them for having their own opinions?

This doesnt make them scared, or ignorant, it just means they dont know any different. Many people here want to be accepted for just being themselves, yet fail to accept that other people may not understand or see things the way they do, thats life, and something you can either A. Deal with, or B. Hide away from.

Hiding away from it however makes things worse, because the more it is though of as a taboo, or something to be ashamed of, the more the stereotypical views of society are re-enforced.

So, that leaves only 1 thing left to do.

Do it like you do anything else.

Your not embarrassed to go to the shops and buy something, or stand outside your house cleaning your car, so why should you be embarrassed about what you put on your feet?
