  1. A couple of weeks ago I went to the local Nordstrom and bought a pair of Nine West mary janes wedges. I love them, so I decided to post a review. I wanted to get my review posted so I chose a non-fetishy login name (InShoes73 instead of Inhose73) and was careful to not let on I am a guy, although I didn't say I was a woman either. At the end of writing my review I discovered I could post a picture of the shoes, so I uploaded a pic I took.

I was greatly surpised to find out nordstrom posted my review and pic! If they only knew...

The product link is below, just scroll down for the reviews. Mine is the one from "InShoes73". I also included a link to a few more of me wearing the shoes.

  2. I thought I would re-introduce myself to the board. I joined the board in 2007 and posted a few times but haven't been here in a very long time. Below is a little background on who I am... I actually started as a pantyhose guy. I started wearing hose when I was pre-teen, and wore daily under jeans through college. I wore heels a few times to costume parties and in romantic situations, but never publicly. About five years ago I decided I didn't think what people thought and started wearing hose with shorts. Since then everyone who knows me knows I wear hose all the time. Last summer, after approval of my boss and co-workers (there are only 4 others in the office), I started wearing skirts and heels to work a couple days a week. I don't wear women's tops or do makeup, wig, etc., so I don't consider myself a crossdresser. I wear skirts sometimes because it is simply a change from pants or jeans, and I find them incredibly comfortable. I wear heels because men's shoes are way too boring! I have gone out in heels and skirts a few times, usually at night, with varying reactions. I do wear women's flats and casual shoes in public (with shorts and pantyhose) with no problems whatsoever. It's good to come back here! There is a lot of great information and support available. Since I am a guy the majority of my posts will be in the appropriate section of the board, but I wanted to say hi to everyone with a single post, so I hope I didn't offend anyone with the subject matter. Thanks everyone! Matt

  3. Hello Inhose 73,

in your post of 26.11. you wrote that you were going to a thanksgiving dinner with some of your relatives. How did it go? Did your relatives accept your outfit?

    a bit curious marhil711...

My apologies for not updating that post.

I received luke-warm reactions from my relatives at thanksgiving. I could tell that most of the men were uncomfotable, except for one of my nephews who lives an alternative lifestyle. The women were more accepting, esprcially my wife's two sisters. They kept looking at my legs and boots and making "sexy" and "ooh la la" comments at me. One sister wanted to know where I got the boots, as she wanted a pair.

The one regret I had in wearing the outfit was in regards to the younger kids. They were obviously confused, and the adults really didn't have answers for their questions. I just kept saying it was a costume, but they wanted to know why they couldn't wear costumes also! Kids are funny.

Overall it was a good experience to wear heels and skirt around my entire family. I plan to to the same at Christmas.

  4. I am an 11 in women's flats or lower heels (up to about 3 inches), and go up to 11.5 (if available) or 12 if the heel is higher. A lot depends on if you normally wear socks or pantyhose/tights with your male shoes. When I used to wear men's shoes (I only wear womens now), I would be a 10.5 or an 11 if I was wearing socks. When I started to wear only pantyhose and tights with men's shoes, my shoes were too big, and I started wearing size 10. I hope this helps.

  5. As I stated previously, I made some serious progress with my wife the other day. I convinced her to let me wear a skirt and heels to thanksgiving dinner, which is at her niece's house. Her family has seen me in hose and women's flats before with either shorts or pants, but never in heels and a skirt. I'm a bit nervous, but also very excited. Below are pics of what I'm wearing, in case everyone is too shy to get a pic with me at dinner today.

Your bottom half I think looks great, but I'm not a fan of the oversized shirts you are wearing. Probably something more fitted, or tucked in might work better.

I'm sorry you don't like the shirts I wear, but I'm a bit chubby and tucked in shirts look quite odd.

  6. Half day today at work, so I'm a bit casual this morning. Denim skirt, taupe hose, and brown wedge moccasins. Below are a couple of pics.

Also, I made some serious progress with my wife last night. I convinced her to let me wear a skirt and heels to thanksgiving dinner, which is at her niece's house. I'll make sure someone tomorrow takes my picture to show everyone.

For everyone in the U.S., have a nice holiday!

  7. Today I decided to try a "skirt suit" with a black pencil skirt, black sport jacket, nude hose, and "menswear" pumps. My Co-worker though it looked good, but I'm not sure. I keep forgetting to charge my camera, so these pics aren't great quality (mobile phone camera). My apologies.

    I would appreciate your opinions.

  8. Thanks for all the wonderful comments. As for my co-workers, I work for a small client-based company (no walk-in customers). There are a total of 3 other employees (one woman, two men). As I have said before, the woman (office manager) absolutely loves seeing me in my outfits, and we discuss fashion daily. The two me are "OK" with it, but not into it. They mostly ignore what I am wearing. If we are expecting a client or if I am going to a meeting elsewhere, I do not wear a skirt, and wear conservative flats instead of heels. Thanks again for the compliments!

  9. The person is a woman in her 30s. She wears great outfits almost daily, which consist of hosiery (always), a skirt or dress (almost always) and heels (almost always). We discuss outfits daily, and have gone shoe shopping together several times. We have several identical shoes. Sometimes we plan coordinating outfits. It's a lot of fun! Thanks for the comments!
