Yes, $US, I would figure, since many web sites have this as the standard unit for currency to list prices. Even one in Canada uses U.S. dollars. Canadian dollars? It's never going to be enough. Not even close. Oh, and I know what I would buy for certain. There is a wonderful pair of sling backs at this la piazza site, six inch heel, I know that is ambitious, but just slingy and wonderful looking. I would buy them without any need to consider it.

I hope they continue to be a good source! There are only so many styles a girl can buy before it comes down to 5 pairs mostly the same but with different straps. My theory is to get what I would like and then find another place. It is a bit parasitic, feed and move on, but that is much like humanity and how it takes care of our planet. I think the planet deserves better. As for places to buy heels, I think I will pick them clean for styles I like and move on.

Laurie for being Laurie, need I say more? Maybe not. More as good is a very American concept, and sometimes just to be mentioned is enough. Or maybe you have no idea how to describe my wierdness and just wished to make me feel good with a mention. Who can say? Who would care? Not I, most certainly.

Just to finish this topic, I would like to say one thing. It does not always have to suck! It is not always that awful. I found shoes, and everyone knows it. I can buy more! I can wear what I like. Maybe the bad experiences like the one I posted to start this topic are simply a way to get a person to take a stand, get tough,a nd be determined. From a failed attempt comes knowledge and the strength to try again and do even better. Thus, I now wear my five inch stilettos at work every day.

I would buy a pair of designer label courts, in leather, and preferably with a real metal heel. Longish toe, but not too long, somewhat of a point, and that heel should be five inches. Of course, the leather would be black. Or I could just buy ten pairs of shoes from that Heels Online company that is close by. Can I save some of the money for stockings and a new garter belt?

It may not be a choice they make in haste. We have to remember that the female star must RUN in her heels, and if she cannot, then they must give her other shoes for the scene. I think they compromise, hoping that people who like heels will understand. What they need are some custom made courts with athletic shoe material for the soles, and a shock absorber heel. If the female stars can wear heels for the stunts, we will see it. If not, we must find fault with either the actor involved, or the stunt co-ordinator. I am sure many producers and directors wish the movies could be perfect and show the heels all the time, but life isn't like that.

I think Oxfords with heels are great. But then, my pair has a post heel, not a stiletto heel, so they give a slightly different image. You may wish to choose a more well known style with a heel over a pair of Oxfords, especially if you feel the Oxfords are not as good a choice for your outfit over a pair of courts, for example. Wear what looks best all over!

The quick answer is yes. I like being the girl with the highest heels, and now that I am on to five inch stilettos, I am! I take a casual look to see what the other women are wearing, and it is nice to stand out and be noticed. So far I am getting more notice for my hair than my shoes, but my own personal sense of high heeled supremacy is being fulfilled.

Francis, you said keep us off balance. You're saying this to people who wear some pretty high heels, so is keeping us off balance even possible? Maybe we should say surprised. I am only off balance if I fall asleep in my stiletto mules and then wake up in the dark and try to find my way to use the water closet.

If it were not for people like you, however, that may be a bit more subdued. I like to write, I like to be expressive, so it is just me being me. If that makes me admired, well, thank you everyone. I check mail using internet explorer. Now it is funny how it is the company's site for people to use as remote mail access, and it is listed as high security. if they monitor the site, then it isn't high security, is it? We already hear that people review all internal e-mail subjects to make sure employees are not absuing mail and waisting time, but we have ways around this already.

Today, as I was walking over the never to melt parking lot snow. A stiletto heel is not the best choice for snow covered pavement and slush. I made it without incident, but I must have been a bit too adventerous since I have only had the shoes for a week. It was fun anyway.

I still think that if conserative is not your style then you shld not dress that way for an interview. A potential employer must know what he or she is going to get. I cannot wear low heels and pants to the interview, and then high heels and a short skirt my first day of work. The image presented should be consistent. Conservative. Are we all applying for jobs with a political party? Be yourself and if they like who you are, the job is yours.

It might be easier for some of us to say which pairs we would part with. 2.5 inch patents? GONE. Flats and heels two inches or less? GONE. Three inch heels? Donate the suckers. That should make space for more shoes I could not part with. It may just happen in a few weeks!

I sneak some mail, but like you Fox, I suspect it would not sit well to be discovered using the work computers for personal non work related use. And I dare not use one of the public computers. Anyone odd the street can come and watch, and I have no wish to let people see the girl behind the curtain as the giant holographic face tells Dorothy where to go. Forever is a relative term, Debbie. I will admit, we can last a very long time, and we will leave the length of that time undefined. What if one day, twenty years from now, the internet is obsolete? What if the next incarnation of information sharing is something so radical that this board cannot fit into it? That's not likely, is it. Not in twenty years, anyway. I like some of the styles men can wear. It is just that they do not wear them. Masculine styles, too! They are different, expressive, like the shirts that have no collar but still button up. I have seen some that look great! They are very different and certainly not limiting in choice. However, they are not seen much by me. I think it just takes some experimentation to find something that works for a man, looks manly and is still expressive. We shall see, I suppose...

If you need to see heels, you can watch Regis and Kelly, they tend to have good full shots of the stage to show both hosts and their interviewee. The calgary shows are either done behind a desk or without a set at all. And Hollywood must be destroyed, or at least, captures, tortured and reprogrammed. Sex and violence cannot be as much fun as innuendo and class, can it? I say Hollywood takes some of today's fast action and mixes it with the class and suggestiveness of the past. It can be something new and exciting. Yes, we can see sex, big deal. Would it not be better to have some sexual tension, showing the woman dressed nice, with heels and good legs, and the man looking all hot and studly, and then we can have them kiss or build on it at some point towards the end. Why are only four or five movies worthy of an oscar every year? Should not every producer and director try to make a masterpiece? Or do they think we are all that dumb?

I have never experienced this female bonding through heels with friends. With my mother, yes, but she doesn't wear heels anymore. Her back cannot handle it, though it is not exactly related to wearing heels for many years. I will say that it looks like I am going higher than she did, and she is concerned abuot my future heel wearing health. She would like me to be in heels for a long time, but at the same time, does not wish me to wear heels all of the time. Strange, isn't it. I suppose I need more friends in order to find people who like wearing heels. They will wear heels, but they do not wear them very often. I go grocery shopping in four inch heels, not many other people would do this.

It can show two things. Either people with a thing for seeing women in heels are a minority, or the movie makers are trying to hide the fact that they are into heels. Marketing, of course, probably says breasts and long hair get men fired up. Yes, American men, drinking beer on a couch, and focused on breasts. Could we have this stereotype killed please? Anyone? Maybe some of us need to become cinematographers? Then these scenes can be shown as they should!

All men that I seem to see have shirts tucked in. Macho cowboy thing? Most are not cowboys. Women tend to wear shirts out more often. As for nobility and having servants button clothing, it is proof that wealth is a physical handicap. How easy is it to button a shirt? Quite easy, but for some reason, these rich people needed someone to do everything. Certainly a handicap, sprained wrist from lifting the coin purse, I'll guess.

No shoe dangling done by me, sorry. I am not sure why, Okay, I do some dangling if I am wearing mules, but then what keeps them on my feet if not gravity? Otherwise, no dangling courts. It just isn't something that comes natural, I guess. Maybe I can work up to it.

I will admit to 1, 3 and 5. Yes, 5. You know, sometimes attention can be a wonderful thing. Deep down, if I peaked someone's interests and made them think about something, then I am happy. I don't even need to have direct attention from it. So I am brave enough to admit #5.
