Let's face it. It takes a lot more concentration and effort to maintain one's balance and footing on a pencil thin stiletto, than a so-called stiletto wedge heel.  With a real stiletto heel there is no room for slips and mistakes. With a wedge heel, there is plenty of the shoe or boot to cover any minor errors in one's footing.  

Another pair of boots for Herman Munster.

I think the communion girl's shoes are more suitable for the beach, not at a church.

The designers just set the so-called seasonal trends just to get you to buy their products and make money.

It is always easier to do something bold in a crowd with others doing the same bold act, than it is to do the bold act solo.

Cheap and easy to wash for the off brands. The kind of shoes that a county jail would use for its inmates.

Totally agree, that kind of extreme platforms is like the person is wearing clunky furniture on their feet.

Ugg does make real knee  boots and I have a pair in both black and brown to wear.

That may not be the case for quite a spell for SF in Sothern California as well as me in the Bay Area. We are both due for some nasty cold and wet weather- atmospheric river they call it. Sandals? you got to be kidding in that stuff.

If there is a lot of money involved, $75k is quite a lot, there will always be somebody willing to do it. Regardless of the qualms of ethics.

You guys are so lucky to be able to wear sandals in public. It's closed toes for me only, even for men's shoes. My toenails are so hideous they have been declared super fund sites.

Shaquille O'Neill in heels? That would make an interesting nightmare. I don't think he would or could wear heels even for a 'Walk a Mile in Her Heels' event.

Putin is a czar in all but his official tittle. Czars were said to be all powerful, answerable only to God. Since Putin is known to be an atheist, so he is answerable to nobody. He will never take the title of czar because he remembers what happened to Nicolas the last one.

Maybe so but try pulling a dent out of one of them.  You got to replace the entire panel. Metal, just a mallet and a couple of suction cups a lick of paint and you're done.

With all of this technical engineering about shoe heels, it makes me wonder are Chrisitan Louboutin and Jimmy Choo artists masquerading as engineers or engineers masquerading as artists?

It all depends on the kind of town or county you are in. If you are in a Bible belt, redneck town, the prosecutor will drop you in a heartbeat. In San Francisco, nobody cares what kind of shoes or clothing you wear so long as it's not too outlandish.

Never mind the furniture. Those boots should be classified as lethal weapons.
