  1. One question I've always thought about is how do you enforce a law against something that isn't illegal in the first place? The practice of smoking isn't illegal. The sale of tobacco isn't illegal. And, it appears to me these laws are arbitrary in the first place. So, why hasn't anyone bothered to take these laws to the U.S. Supreme Court to determine if they are actually enforceable?

Quite frankly, I really don't understand how any government operating under the provisions of the United State's Constitution can dictate what anyone can and can't do in their own homes or businesses.

So you think it would be ok in front of your children in your own home or where ever to shoot drugs, smoke pot, kill who ever you want,as long as your boss say's it's ok, and just not have any common sense what so ever about anything? Get a grip man.

Got the boots at sears in Canton Ohio. Heels are 3" and soft material that dosen't make noise when you walk.
  3. Mind you, I'm a dedicated non-smoker. Never smoked a day in my life and don't intend to start. Ever. Tobacco -- I hate the stuff, it stinks and it is unhealthy. And nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known -- just ask any smoker about their first cigarette, it's never a pleasant experience. I enforce a strict smoking ban in my home and in my vehicles.

But at least in the United States, these smoking bans bug me. This is supposed to be the "land of the free" and we keep ratcheting down on what people can do. My home -- that's not a public place. But a shopping mall or a restaurant -- those are public places -- and at least restaurants have had smoking and non-smoking areas for years. If tobacco is so confounded bad for us then why don't we just ban it outright?

Of course all Americans know the answer to the question at the end of my last paragraph -- Washington DC and all the state governments are positively addicted to tobacco . . . revenue. In the form of taxes.

If we are really all that concerned about public health then we had better ban the use of the wheel post-haste -- ever look at traffic death statistics?

Yes and still tobbaco kills more.
  4. I buy alot on ebay but when my gf and I go shopping, she or we will pick out a pair for me and she has me try them on in the store to see how they look and then I usually just leave them on and walk out. The reactions I have had from the sales lady's are usually very confident then there are those who are the "OH WELL "but mostly all good and as for the other costumers, well they are to busy doing there own thing. They might glance over at what we're doing but then just go about their business like it's nothing. No big deal. Just do as if you are trying on a pair of tennis shoes. No body really cares and I'm thinking thats the reason for this post, huh? No fear! They're only shoes and thats all.

  5. I am hoping that over time she will get more interested in my shoes. pointing out when I need a longer pant or different color shoe with what I have on. I just ordered these boots.

Can't wait till I get them in. I know a 2 and 3/4 heel is not too tall but it is the shortest heels I will have. I don't have a black boot that I can go out in easily.

Out of the 5 pair of heels I have now, 3 of the pair can be worn without a glance from anyone. Very chunky heel, or cowboy boot look. I have not got the nerve up to go out in a thin heel with her yet.

Those are really cool lookin boots.
  6. I have had only one GF who disagreed with my passion for heels and that ended with in 5 months but we remain good friends. Her daughter is gay and we get along great. As for the gf I have now, well she is awsom. We went to the jewelers to exchange the forever ring I bought her for Christmas and I wore my 4"blade ankle boots. They stuck out like a sore thumb with my light colored jeans. Nobody said a word until we were leaving the mall and walked through the food court where a couple of young girls were sitting having coffee and after we walked by clicking our heels they started giggling. Well so did we. It was so funny we thought. My GF was hanging on to my arm and hugging me and laughing right back at them. She is so cool. Then she looked at me and said "I love your heels". She has as much fun with it as I do. I am blessed with this gal. I will not have a narrow minded GF ever again. Life is to short not to enjoy the things you love and there are alot of women out there who will be more than happy to share your passion for footwear with you.Don't settle!!!
