I found a photoset of Elle McPherson in what appears to be custom Louboutin Pigalles unless an expert can tell me different. I've taken all the photos that have the shoes in them and RAR'd them and put them on my Rapidshare account.
Can anyone read what size is on the shoes in one of the pictures taken from the back as a close up. Is it 42 or 45...What is her shoes size heard it might be a US12?

I am a UK10 and had to order a US14 (Which were described as a UK11) because of the extremely high heel. They fit OK but i cant wear them for any length of time because they are an inch higher than i can deal with (over 6in). My hotties are black patent with red soles. So they do fit very small as i had to go up 2 sizes than normal ie US12 to US14.

Evans online is fairly discrete, grey plastic bag, the label is marked Arcadia (the parent company). Choice is maybe not big or ultra fashionable...but getting better. Priceless / Barratts is a no no the boxes have markings all over them thats a dead giveaway.

I have just invested in a pair of Wedge Ankle boots from Evans, and got 20% off, they have only just gone online, bit like a trainer boot. £35 to £28 The second pair are a platform high heel pump with a zip trim from Big shoe Boutique for £19. Can't wait to get them!!!

The shoes you are looking for are shipped from Korea, so i would imagine a size 8US is a large size for them as i would imagine a lot of Korean women take small sizes.

Hi all i just wanted to double check i have this right. I've seen some really really nice wedge/platfrom trainers on ebay. The ad says they only go upto a US8 i'm working that out to be around a 6/6 1/2 in the US sizes if thats right i'd be spending £50+ on shoes that i would not have a chance of fitting into as i take a UK7/7.5 in heels. Am i right please?

I too sell a lot of shoes on Ebay and take great pains to give an honest and detailed description of all the shoes I sell as well as give prompt replies to any questions asked. This has enabled me to keep a 100% feedback of 1200+ since 2000. One issue I do agree with is The inability of a lot of sellers of realising that UK And US are not the same, I always ask the seller to check if in doubt but can imagine that a lot of buyers who think they are buying a size 10 uK shoe end up with a size 8 uk one because they were a 10 US one. So like the other poster there are sellers who know what they are doing, hell I have sold many pairs to forum members here via Ebay and get repeat business too!

The 42 is the original CL size. They are made in Italy where the European size system reigns supreme. For US women's sizes you simply subtract 30, for men's 33. In the UK, both men and women's sizes use the same scale which means that a US12 would equate to a UK9 roughly. However, CLs are notoriously small and most women have to size up for Loubies which means that they are going to fit more like an 8, a small one at that.

Roughly, yes, a US12 is around about a UK10 / EU44
That sizing in that auction looks all out of whack...
No way is a US12 a UK7.5, not in any conversion
This is not an isolated incident, i have seen plenty of examples on ebay for high end designer shoes where this happens.

I think it's the agencies advertising that their model can fit/squeeze into the standard sample size 9 (U.S.). This way, they don't scare off potential clients who might say, "my, accommodating for her shoe size will actually cost us more money than we'll get back/be too much of a hassle to deal with. Let's shoot a model with smaller feet." So even though a model may be a U.S. 10, the agencies are in a sense saying, "our model can wear a size 9 U.S."--even if she has to temporarily squeeze her feet into them for an editorial/campaign.
This is my thinking exactly, i remember reading once in a sunday paper supplement that Elite model agency said that 5% of their models are a size 11 (they didnt list anything higher than this), as the supplement was from the UK they mistook the US11 for a UK11 (a common mistake for a lot of UKpublications), now at the time Ellie McPherson worked for them, now its been said she is at least a US12 possibly more,( http://www.celebrityshoesize.com/m/elle-macpherson-240.html ) so the thinking is they had her down as a US11 too, which would fit in with whats been said above. Even so she would have struggled to fit a shoe at least 2 sizes smaller.

I'd love a pair in a EU45 they are absolutely gorgeous.......... i would imagine a custom pair of pigalles would be nearly a months wages for me, and however much i love them they wouldnt keep a roof over my head and feed my substancially large belly so unless a pair of much cheaper knockoffs in that size come along i can only dream!!!
