Those boots look very similar to mine. And you wear them just as well as I do.

I have done something a little bit different this week. Or maybe something a little the same. It has been many years since I limited myself to blacks and browns in footwear, but I bought some purple shoes. They are not a traditional liturgical purple, and they certainly don't look purple in these pictures, but to my eye they are more purple than pink. The photos picked up on the pink tones, so maybe we'll call them magenta.
No reaction at church, but I got more reaction than I have in a long time at the grocery store. Several young girls were obviously watching me, and several adults noticed me as well. I don't know whether it was the general brightness of my outfit, or if those shoes are actually that outrageous. In any case, I have another pair just like it coming in bright blue soon.
Those shoes are great! And so is the outfit as a whole. Well done!

It never ceases to amaze me the stubbornness and implacability of marketers who insist on gendering every conceivable thing that might be worn / even mens and women’s daypacks and laptop bags! The only difference is colour, bit if some marketer has put a women’s label on it, marking something as feminine, no man will go near it … weird
And the stupid thing is. The women's equivilent is usually cheaper!

It's always great to rediscover heels/boots you haven't seen in awhile...
Most of mine are stored in bins, so I rediscover all the time. I find stuff I forgot I even purchased.

For me, there is no schedule to purge, downsize, or whatever else you want to call it. Most of my shoes are usually purchased second hand. So they sometimes wear out quicker. Plus I find my taste in heels changes from time to time also. I never buy shoes I don't like. But sometimes I'll go through my collection from time to time, i'll find a pair of heels and go, what was I thinking! Plus, my shoe size seems to change from time to time also. So shoes that fit a year ago may not fit now. Or sometimes I just downsize. I'll go through my collection and get rid of shoes that I haven't worn in a really long time.

Watches have definitely falllen out of favor. I work in a shop that sells second hand items. Watches always sit in our showcases for a very long time, and they only eventually sell if they are heavily discounted, so we are very reluctant to take them.

either way the footwear is nice!

One of the women that came over to see what I had on also always wears high heels, and we are the same size. However, we have yet to swapped heels, we've talked about it, but haven't done it yet.
sounds like she is game. I wouldn't hesitate, and just do it!

Here are my latest. I think these qualify as a classic stiletto. I got them in a thrift shop for just over $10. The brand is ALDO and the heel is a pencil-thin 4 and a 1/2 inches. The shoe is a soft suede like material and comes up to a bit of a point at the back. The condition is pretty good except for the obvious wear on the bottom. But I was wondering what the best way is to clean a shoe of this material?

I didn't think anyone owned any shoes these days that needed to be cobbled

I have been trying to find a pair of Slingbacks myself. The hard part is finding a pair that don't look like clunkers in the front, which most usually are.
Who has bought some new BOOTS?

Here are my latest. The brand is ALDO. I got these on a local buy and sell for only $25. And the previous owner only wore them once, so they are in mint condition!
