I think the scooter riding mods died out about 1968. I was a greaser myself with a triumph 500 twin and black leather jacket and I had heels even way back then.
-
Being a heel wearing man I thought you would see my point, if not why wear heels at all.
-
Not in my case my normal jeans just touch the floor (well not quite) if I wear heels then maybe 1-2 inches will show, not enough for me I want the whole heel to show so my jeans finish about 1 inch above my heels so the whole ankle boot is on show heel and all, if not why bother wearing high heels at all.
-
No my legs do not get shorter, but If I am going to wear heels I like to show them off, so I wear a shorter jean so that they fit just above my heels with the heel on full display. A 29 inch leg is ok with normal flat heels, so if I am going to be a guy in heels why not show them off at the end of the day (sorry for the pun) I think that's what people like me and many others want to do, why wear heels if you do not want people to notice.

I normally take a 29 inch inside leg with jeans, but if I'am going to wear heels it has to be 27 inch inside leg so at least my heels can be seen.

Anyway back to fuel prices, I have just converted the old Land Rover to full led lighting, tell your neighbours to stop them knocking on your door and telling you, you have left your lights on. I have left the lights on for 5 days for an experiment and it still starts ( take note Miss Amanda) mind you it is not an easy process there are so many led type bulbs and you have to work out what kind of refelectors your car has etc and how the lamp reflectors affect the light output with each type of led bulb, took me about six attemps with various led bulbs. stop/tail lights turn indicators reverse light fog lights etc. I have won in the end and it works ever tried to turn over an alternator by hand with a load on it, it's not easy. I have noticed an improvement of about 2 miles per gallon, maybe more on a run. Word of warning though if your car has this so called cambus system which tells you if a bulb has failed you have to fit ballest resistors which defeats the object of converting as the system no longer works so much for modern technology. next step larger intercooler and a few more mods. Just for Megan an intercooler is a thing that cools the air before it goes into the engine so giving you more bang for your buck. Only problem is wish I could convert the 2 long 250watt 10 inch driving lamps to led but at the moment no way but they are very usefull for the odd git that does not dip or drive with fog lights on, but that's another story.

The number does not matter at the end of the day, lets just never forget it happened and god rest all of those poor souls, and pray it can never happen again.

The last part is called history, I understand the comments completely. As for joints tried a few in the late sixties never did a thing for me no effect what so ever have not tried since, a bottle of scotch is more my thing. As for visiting the states I think I'll pass on that one.

Mr ilk we do drive on the correct side of the road, it dates back to knights (or as you say nites) in armour days, and it's a aeroplane not a airplane. I do think that you americans have made the English language a bit easier to understand in some ways.
By the way we even pay tax on the tax we have on fuel, because it's taxed then we have to pay vat on top of that.

You are quite correct the propshaft is the thing that drives the rear wheels taking the drive from the gearbox, I have always known it as a propshaft or drive shaft. A CV joint or shaft is a constant velocity joint used on front wheel drive cars as you cannot use universal joints as they do not rotate at a constant speed they speed up and slow down on each rotation, that's why a propshaft (drive) always has two joints one at each end. Mr ilk you are right modern diesel engines are feed with high pressure fuel from an electric pump normally located in the fuel tank and it can squirt fuel deep into your skin so don't go messing with that, older engines have a mechanical injector pump driven from the engine it can reach pressures of over 200 atmospheres, not really good things to play with.

As far as I know you can take the red dye out of diesel, but the powers that be will know you've done it. Down here in the south of England we have no problem with buying fuel no pre payment required, and in all my years of driving (since 1968) I have only ever seen one roadside check for red diesel. The only thing I have heard of being nicked from cars etc is the odd propshaft or plastic bumpers, used to be alloy wheels at one time.

I would love to know where all this so called carbon tax is going, or what is is being spent on.

Mr Ilk do you have enough room in your freezer for a foal?

Ah Mr Shoe I understand that's the Reading side of things, a place I don't really visit these days. Basingstoke side is totally different. I have a local ASDA 1 mile away but it does not have a petrol station and it appears our prices are a bit more than yours.
