Cool! I stretched out my Zara boots quite a bit by getting them wet and wearing them that way so they dried on my feet.

I manage to get a second day in a row to myself! Went out sunday to a rather large shoping mall an hour or so away and did some shopping. Sadly everything was very picked though and I didn't end up finding anything.
I wore my faux leather pencil skirt and my black aldo boots! It was a fun day wandering around but now I'm on the look for some stiletto boots since I think they would have completed this outfit a little better than these block heels.
You look great!

Great job VH! Like you say, no one really notices, they are way too busy getting to where they are going. Yeah, the pain in the balls of your feet can be discouraging, but it does go away over time. Just plan shorter trips for now, so the pain doesn't get the best of you.
Sounds like a great outfit, hope to see pictures...D

I'm in the same boat, the better half teases me about wearing regular cowboy boots, much less stiletto boots. He knows I have them, and wear them while away, it's just not spoken about. I logged a few miles in a mall while on layover, I don't think many people noticed, except for one woman who was trying to collect change...."I liked your boots", she said, I thanked her but told her I had no cash, the conversation was over.... Oh well.
But, I just wanted to comment about something Cali has claimed for a while. My back has been acting up ever since Christmas time. Lower back issues, not horrible, but surely uncomfortable. Pain is gone after logging a few miles in my 4.5" Nine west stiletto booties.

Well, I applaude Mr. Bryan for sure. Yeah, perhaps his style is not my style, but that is not the point. Mr Bryan presents himself as just an average guy would enjoys wearing heels and traditionally "feminine attire". It seems like that is the effect most of use want to achieve, trying to get away from all the usual stereotypes and assumptions that are made when guys wear heels. Perhaps I am missing the point...

Great article indeed. But, a simple article won't have too much of an effect. It's trendsetters like you guys that really make a difference.

I love the idea of wedge sneakers, and have always wished NIKE/ADIDAS/PUMA/ASICS would do more with this theme. They do have a few offerings, need to get a pair of superstar or jordan wedges for sure...

It's been awhile since I have written here. I guess since I have been working from home for the past 21 months, I have had few interactions with the public in general.
The other day I needed to replace the laces on my Soda Agenda booties. You use to be able to find shoe laces everywhere, not any more. After failing to find them at several stores I end up at a small family run store in the mall. They had a spoll of round nylon lace and cut and made me a pair or laces, then gave them to me for free. While that was happening I had a conversation with one of their sales associates while she was fitting a woman customer. She wanted to know how high my heel was (5 inch with a 1.25 inch platform). I told her it was about a 3.5 to 3.75 inch rise, and then she told me that she could never walk in heels that high. 2.5 inches was her max and she feels like she is about to tip over at that height. How many times have you heard that? At that point I had to interact with the person making my laces and the conversation ended.
Sounds like she might have a balance issue, which I seem to be developing as well. I had a nice compliment a few weeks back, was out and about waiting for a light to turn when a young lady caught up to me saying she liked my boots and how well I handled them, that was a nice compliment for sure.....

Well, I can only wear my boots while I'm away on trips... So, I guess that averages out to be about one hour per day

Great boots buddy, you must have felt great wearing them also

I had ingrown toenails on both sides of both big toes as a kid... I quickly learned how to cut nails properly and pack cotton behind them if the start to get ingrown...

Paris is ok except in some places. As everywhere
As a native I know where to go in heels and where not to go. Depends also on what time
The guy in Orly was a bartender. Probably North Africa origin but as French as myself as far as I could judge by the way he talked
Some Muslim guys are really narrow minded here. But most of them are ok.
Being from the US, I just "assssumed" that french society is far more progressive than here in the states. Oh well, don't let the dumb/closeted guys get you down, you look great in your boots. Very powerful and amazingly masculine, a look I would love to achieve...Don

I'm with you buddy, love wearing my stiletto boots the most. And, I find they are actually easier to walk in than some of my block heeled boots. That being said, stiletto heels take a terrible beating on most city streets, and can be dangerous on the city streets you have described. So, be prepared to have the heel tips replaced regularly and be very careful. Falling/tripping is a real confidence killer, and you sure don't want to get hurt.
