I've bought a few pairs of Onlymakers, and probably will buy a few more in due time. They're not bad at all.

I think I am going to give them a try as well

I had to refresh my present recollection about the physics definition of "moment" to understand your post, but it was worth it. Went down a rabbit hole of other somewhat obscure "useless" information as well. Thanks for that! In any case, there is another factor, which we don't really like to talk about, and that is the force exerted on the shoe even at rest. I think I've gotten away with a lot of things because I only weigh 130 lbs. I've broken quite a few shanks, but that's always been after extensive wear (or an identifiable incident, in one case). In addition, ankle flexibility does make life easier on your shoes.
Yeah, kind of figured I need to shed a few pounds in order to stop killing my heels.

Yes I really like these boots, but they are not common for man, that's why I want opinions about them
I'm not used to wearing feminine shoes
Feel free to post more pictures of you wearing the boots. You will receive geniune support and opinions. But, once again, the most important opinion is yours. It is so important that YOU think you look good wearing them. It is tough to get started, we are here to support you buddy

Yeah you have gotten used to ignoring the opinions of the broader masses. If you are a man that shops for clothes in a woman’s department, the general consensus is that you are cross dressing. I don’t agree, but I have to acknowledge that most people feel this way. I also don’t think it is fair, because women can shop the whole store without any such stigma, but it will take time for this kind of thought to change, if it ever does. Now, if they start stocking men’s departments with heels, so that we are not forced to look for our shoes in unconventional places, that would also be progress.
Yeah, guys that wear heels are just assumed to be crossdressers for sure. Maybe we will see some of the Onlymaker boots in the men's department in the not too distant future. For now, every guy that wears heels as a guy is contributing to squash this "asssumption", but change in opinions takes too long for sure.

Well, I managed to kill one of the heels on my Nine west stiletto ankle boots, much the same damage as I did to my Sam Edelman boots. These onlymaker boots with stronger heels look great, would love to try a pair. D

Those guys look great in heels for sure.

Okay thanks!
Like everyone says, do you really like these boots? If so, I don't think you will have any issues wearing them in public. Just makThe sure they fit properly and you can walk confidently in them. Tripping, stumbling, or walking with obvious difficulties will attract attention. All that said, these boots look as if they won't be tough to walk in, but only you will know this for sure. Have fun

Alex, you look great in those boots, and the jeans fit perfectly. I'm so envious

They always ask me to remove my heels to measure my height.
Yeah, I'm confused... You didn't take your boots off when your height was measured? Doesn't really make sense, maybe I misunderstood.

Can't wait to see some pics as well!

My kid doesn't bitch when I make him dress up, it's just that it wouldn't occur to him on his own that he ought to wear something better than a greasy t-shirt to a band concert. It also doesn't occur to him that he ought to change out of his good clothes before he starts to work on anything (like antique small engines) that might permanently stain them.
At any rate, I haven't seen any evidence of this platform trend invading Iowa. Ugly heels, yes. Platforms, not just yet. You, being a flight attendant, get to see a lot broader cross section of people than I reckon I do.
I haven't seen any evidence of platforms fashion returning either... And I still have the same problem, forgetting to change out of my good jeans before heading to the basement to play with my toys.

I am guessing that the reason for the no jeans thing is because so many of the styles are pre-distressed these days, and some quite radically. It's easier just to say "no jeans." Although they are not old enough to have uniforms, I noticed that by 8th grade, that teacher must encourage the boys to wear black pants, and button down shirt, and a tie, because 80% of them were dressed that way, and I can't imagine it was their own idea.
Yeah, I suppose you are right... Kids left to their own devices will usually pick the worst outfits, so it is probably easier to just prescribe a "uniform".

I am always turned off by dress requirements such as no jeans or sneaks. A nice pair of jeans that fit properly with a decent pair of clean sneaks can look so much better than some ill fitting department store "trousers" and cheesy/cheap shoes. Now, I'm not saying that ripped jeans and dirty old sneaks are appropriate, but just resent that jeans and sneaks are automatically assumed to be inappropriate dress.

When I was in school, playing a concert in sneakers would have resulted in at least grade deduction...
Wearing sneakers was the least of my infractions... "Education is wasted on the young", I was certainly a poster brat for that saying. Now that I am older, I am much more interested in all the topics I ignored in school.. Too bad now I have that attention span of a spaghetti noodle.

I have read that from many HH threads, a nice stiletto is easier to walk in. I can imagine they take a beating, in the nicer areas here it’s all nice slate tiled pathways. Some places are tarmac, others are still that nice classy 80s concrete knurled pattern crap. If I fell the confidence would shatter, if I tripped and stumbled it would take a knock.
Im taking some time to get comfortable and confident in block boots. I would then go to stiletto boots and then the final boss… Stiletto Pump or two.
There are many great looking boots with thicker/wider stiletto type heels, and plenty with block type heels also. Have fun buddy. I spent the day roaming around Redondo beach in my nine west stiletto ankle boots. I don't really think anyone noticed, surely didn't hear any giggling, and no one offered any compliments. I'm sure a few people noticed though, but they were too busy or didn't really care enough to say anything.

Zara boots
in For the guys

They seem to be of decent quality, but make sure they are returnable if they don't fit properly.
