We look forward to meeting you at the Annual World Heel Meet in London in February.....we'll be heeling all over town, shopping, dining and clubbing.....day and night! In answer to your question of going heeling now, the best approach is just going for it. Head out of town to a small restaurant or pub for a quick dinner to start with. Be confident, walk with confidence...this is always the biggest deterrent to any negative responses. You'll soon discover that the biggest obstacle is just yourself as the rest of the world just does not really pay that close of attention.....and for the most part, the majority of folks accept a person just being themselves. Why? Because almost everyone has some hidden truth about themselves and know just how you feel. Have fun.... david & cathy

I had a pair of Jean Gaborit's custom made last year - they are a combination of the Manila (shaft) and Shania (foot) styles. Ian was very helpful in putting this hybrid together for me. It took about three months to receive my order, and they are very pricey, but well worth it. This particular pair is very roomy around the ankle, and works best for me when worn over skinny jeans. They have recently introduced the "Kelly", which is more form fitting, and in my opinion, their best design yet - time to start saving my money. Those boots are the bomb!

Exactly. Never had a bad experience trying on and buying high heel Boots. My first experience trying on Boots and wearing them out of the store was when I was 15 in Las Vegas, 1972....have never looked back. david

Hey Bootopia...welcome. Just returned on Monday from LA, actually Santa Monica. The 3rd Street Promenade, what a great place to go heeling at! As is the Westfield Centrury City outdoor mall...cool! Some great shoes/Boots in the stores already. Cheers, david & cathy

Yes I agree the City rate is a good rate but when speaking with the sales dept of the hotel they would not work with us as a group nor provide any room number guarantees. The rate that is listed in the web site is a restricted rate with only a few rooms at that rate...the price rises as room category rates get booked out and for a group like ours many members would have paid a far higher rate. Our goal was to find a room rate that would apply to all members, that is why we are asking everyone to book as soon as possible so you are not disappointed.

I can confirm that if you quoted the group rate number and secured the special group rate that a full english breakfast is included.

If you would like written confirmation on this email our contact at the hotel, Lea, directly and I am sure she will respond. Lea was assigned our account from Thistle head office who negotiated the rate with with us.

Calv and I are booked into the Thistle Hotel, Euston for the 15th and 16th.

Just one thing, the preferential rate confirmation email did not specifically mention breakfast, quoting 'room only'.

BTW, if, as I do, you think that 0870 numbers are a scabby BT scam, the geographic number is 020 7387 4400, (or +44 20 7387 4400 from outside UK).
