  1. Welcome to the site............and come and share the passion with us all in February in London at the Annual World Heel Meet, Feb 16, 2008. Info is in the "real meetings" discussion topic. We have also arranged a group hotel rate at the Euston Thistle, see the discussion item for details on booking. Many of us are arriving a few days before the meet and staying after, i.e. we arrive on the 13th and leave on the 19th. Hope to see you there??? david & cathy

  2. Hi Bootwalker, Your english is great. Yes, we've heard of this new tv program in Germany about folks who have moved to other places in the world. In fact, there was a couple featured who moved to BC about 12 years ago and they're running a B&B. Here were we live the mountains get lots of snow but down in the valley not very much...great Boot weather! Cheers, david & cathy

  3. Hi Neil, Definitely we can feel your pain and know exactly how you're feeling. Been there! As all our Boots are so important and yes, we can't live without them, it is better to treat them right by taking them to the cobbler. We have found if you try using glues etc. that you could end up making what is a fixable item into an non-fixable one. Better to pay the few dollars (pounds) for someone who knows what they're doing. Good luck and hope it isn't too painful to the wallet. david & cathy

  4. Hello and Welcome! Couldn't agree more Tanya!! Hope you will try and make it to London in February to join us all for the Annual World Heel Meet...lots of members will be there as well as some of the world's best Shoe & Boot makers, i.e. Ian from Jean Gaborit Boots. Check out the details at "real life meetings", david & cathy

  5. Willkommen Bootwalker, Your english was great, easy to understand. You are much much better at english than we are at German!! We are both 50 and married for almost 29 years, actually together as a couple for 34 years. We also both enjoy Boots. Also enjoy long gloves and tights, riding styles. Our favourite way to wear our thigh high Boots is over tight jodphurs. So, will we be able to meet you and getting to know you at the Annual World Heel Meet? Hope we get the pleasure to. See the information in the "real life meetings" for the meet, in London in February, 2008. Cheers, david & cathy

  6. Hello Selene and welcome. We're glad you have joined up and we look forward to connecting over the site here with you. Your comments on kids and friends ring so true. We kept david's high heel boot wearing behind closed doors or just when the two of us went out to ourselves until our kids were in their early teens. david began by wearing flat mens cavalier style boots around the family when they were ages 10 and 7, and then more and more he wore them to his office for work, etc. It wasn't until the kids were 15 and 12 that we decided to sit them down and chat about what we both enjoyed, david feeling comfortable wearing his high heel boots out and about. They both said, "we already knew" and "they thought the look was cool". So, ever since we have been able to be ourselves, that was 14 years ago. Have fun here. Give some consideration to joining us all at the Annual World Heel Meet in London, UK in February.....we're there for the week out heeling around London, david & cathy
