  1. It would most likely turn the whole heel wearing thing around as it would be redefined as manly which may also dictate a change in styling. Imagine a band of women who are forbidden by society to wear heels as they are menswear who have a website in support of their "fashion freedom". There might probably be a few men on the site who support the women with their quest.

  2. Wwweeeellllllllllll, I think both eras are right! Remember fashion tends to have a 20 (or so) year cycle. In the 70's into the early 80's high heels (with and without platforms) were all the rage for women (and men) and they came back right on time 20 years later. I've seen more high heels in the last three to five years than I've seen in the previous 20!!!

  3. Theoretically you do have the right to do anything you want as long as it is not illegal. However, with the number of "random"shootings in the US, anything that looks "out of the ordinary" is subject to scrutiny without recourse. That can include a man wearing high heels as the majority of the population in most countries views that as abnormal.

  4. Hi, I believe most patents are artificial materials or Polyeurethane (pu). That's why they say for ewxample "Black Patent" as opposed to "Black patent leather" The PU materials are essentially plastic (actually vinyl I believe) and don't breathe like leather and may be more prone for your feet to sweat.

  5. This topic reminds me of politics. I believe something or belong to a certain party, and therefore rationalize/bend my logic to be consistent with my beliefs no matter how illogical I may sound. Hey, some people believe it is wrong, and there's nothing you or I can do to change them. I would at least respect the persons who say, I don't have a logic or reason, but I just don't like it as opposed to those who create some "matrix" of reasons that are illogical.

  6. It used to be just the highest (and cheapest) heels, but now it has turned into more of a collectors thing. I tend to look for unique and/or designer heels that are also high. I almost never buy anything under 4 inches unless they are very special.

  7. I believe the generally accepted method is from the back of the heel. The problem is that the heel height changes with shoe size, and I think most heel heights are quoted on a size 7.5- 8 shoe (US womens). Which is the most common size.
