Welcome to HHP. Your among Brothers.I guess we are a band of brothers.
Good one!!
Did you (or anyone else) happen to see that mini-series?

I'm going to go out on a limb and be a bit direct. DO NOT OUT YOURSELF (or do any man in heels stuff)!!!!!!!!! I'm catholic, and it's a well known fact that the Catholic church is not known for its progressiveness! Second, Although females may be more understanding, this is a principle who has a job and bills to pay. Yes, MAYBE she MIGHT be more understanding that a male principle, but when the PTA and diocese (read upper management) pressure her, you don't stand a chance! Lastly, although individual friends may support you now, if you were outed, how many will truly stand with you against the "majority". As R Kelly said, ""...keep it on the down low...nobody has to know.."

Pick me up a pair while you're at it!!

Hey, another New Yorker! Welcome to the board. I hope you enjoy it here!! Re: shoes, what many here say (not me as I'm not married) is that the wife or significant other will eventually get suspicious. Whether it is instinct or the shoes not being exactly where she left them or the looser fitting. As you haven't told her, you might want to start investing in your own footwear. At least until you tell her.

Good points RadioDave. I'd like to add that he still lives under his parent's roof. And, while shopping in nearby towns/malls may give a measure of anonymity, going to high school is a bit different- you'll see those people for the next year AND they know (or can easily find out) where you live. He may not want to push the envelope just yet!

As time more time comes along to me I intend to most everything in the house morning to dusk in shoes and boots. My GF is getting use my addional help, perhaps she will like a wife like me to take care of her, lol !
However cutting firewood with heels does not quite make it though.
Has anyone found a pair of boots with a Vibram type sole on them?
A few years ago they were the rage started by J Lo, nice mid calf brown boots and vibram sole except for heel.
Mtns of heels
I've seen them on ebay advertised as a high heel workboot or high heel sneaker. The largest size I've seen is an 11 (which I purchased in a sneaker style HH boot).
Good luck!

A big mining company recently hired several cannibals. "You are all part of our team now", said the HR manager during the welcoming briefing. "You get all the usual benefits and you can go to the cafeteria for something to eat, but please don't eat any of the other employees". The cannibals promised they would not. Four weeks later their boss remarked, "You're all working very hard, and I'm satisfied with you. However, one of our Admin girls has disappeared. Do any of you know what happened to her?" The cannibals all shook their heads indicating "no". After the boss had left, the leader of the cannibals said to the others, "Which one of you idiots ate the Admin chick?" A hand rose hesitantly, to which the leader of the cannibals continued, "You FOOL!!! For four weeks we've been eating Managers and Supervisors and no one noticed anything, but Noooooo!, you had to go and eat someone who actually works!!!!"

It might be an idèa for the shoe manufactures to give the foot angle instead of the heel hight...
Well, not in the US. Many citizens have problems with basic math, much less geometry.

I have been posting shoes on eBay over the past several days (see the link in the Heels For Sale section) and have noticed that eBay defines heel heghts this way:
Flat: 0" to 1/2"
Low: 3/4" to 1 1/2"
Medium: 1 3/4" to 2 3/4"
High: 3" and up
I don't know how the cam up with this, but it suprises me to a degree. Though I wold agree that over 3 inches might be conidered high, it is difficult to find shoes with a much smaller heel. Some loafers )either for men o women) come with a 1 3/4" heel for example, which would make them "Medium" by eBay standards.
I'd be willing to bet that's because it's the number one reason why women get rid of shoes they bought- the heel is too high for them to wear comfortably. They fall in love with a style and convince themselves that they'll be able to wear a shoe. One wearing takes care of that, and it ends up on Ebay for our benefit!!!

They look like the Pleaser, Jante, type of high heel platform pump. I'd look at howcool.com and/or do a search on platform pumps on Ebay. Good luck!
-
Friends, Please understand what I am saying. What I meant was we probably won't see any explosion in larger high heeled styles as, most likely, we're buying most of the shoes in that category right now. We're just not all wearing them outside regularly.
-
WOW!! Someone who is actually taking this thread seriously! What is this website (world?) coming to???? Nice recipes!!!
-
I came across this website while shopping online (with my sub at my feet
) just last weekend. I'm delighted by the idea of a forum dedicated entirely to high heels, being both a wearer and a fetishist myself! I look forward to reading all about your experiences, favorites, and ideas.
Thanks,
Tara
Re: your sub, is it "Nimitz class"?
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
-
I don't necessarily wear them out, but something usually breaks. Often the heel.
-
If that day were to come, I'm not sure how much change we will see from manufacturers as were the ones buying a lot of those styles already. It's just not commonly accepted for "men" to wear them outside.

Ajar??? I thought it was Adoor!!!

Did you hear about the two antennaes that got married? The wedding was ok, but they had a great reception!!!!
-
This is a typical morning at our house. Wife preparing breakfast and me doing a little house cleaning.
Johnieheel, we're very like minded in one area at least.
You can't wear the same shoes that you wore to clean the stove when you are vacuuming!

I'd probably compare the stailess steel heels to wearing a pair of cheap, off brand heels that are all about a quick fashion over function and they fall apart....I am sure you all have been there and done that with the cheap heels falling apart
I think cheap vinyl/plastic is WAY softer that stainless steel. I could be wrong, though.

Arctic,
You're awsome buddy! You know the deal with me...yesterday didn't live up to the hype.
Here's a pic of my day yesterday. Made it about halfway. Tow driver was actually kinda funny about my ordeal, and took this great pic to sum up my not-so-glorious day....

Only good thing was during the 5+ hours I was at the shop, I never changed back into my regular shoes. The 3 people at the garage I saw all day didn't seem to notice. Except the tow drive, who seemed to be amused.
Thank you for doing the work once again. I am sorry things went the way they do. Let's talk soon.
Nice shoes. What brand are they?

Bubba, you have to flip the water over with a spatula. Duh.

Oooohhhh! I always thought you had to wet the pan first so it wouldn't burn!
-
Maybe I've been lucky, but I ordered from them MANY years ago and had a positive experience. The only problem was one style I ordered was not in stock and after a long wait, I chose a substitute. Apparently, if a shoe is out of stock it can take a long time to restock as you are literally waiting for a slow boat from China!
